《Flashback {Toruka}》Flashback 14 (part 4)

The next morning, Taka's black orbs fluttered open to meet the lightest blue ceiling contrasting with the snow-white walls. A fresh lavender scent seeped into his nostrils gently as he contemplated his surroundings; a neat room with the littlest furniture.
The youth yelped at the sensation he noticed at last, a warm hand holding his. His head automatically tilted to the edge of the bed where his teacher's blonde head lay. "Se..nsei?.."
Toru was still kneeling on the floor where Taka left him before heading off into his dreams, his hand still holding onto the student's to guide him away from nightmares. Taka watched as the handsome man snoozed quietly, scrutinizing his perfect features closely.
"Is...this okay?" Taka quietly asked himself as he explored the kitchen. He thought that he would at least make some breakfast for the man taking care of him.
A groan escaped Toru's perfectly shaped lips as he threw his sore body onto the mattress. His head snapped up suddenly remembering the existence of Takahiro Moriuchi. "Takahiro?" He called, but no answer was given. The man let the delicious hypnotizing smell guide him to the kitchen where Taka almost dropped the plates by surprise.
"you're awake" Taka smiled awkwardly "I thought...I'd make you something to eat..." he mumbled sticking his sight to the floor. Toru chuckled at the innocent child "Thank you" he replied, throwing him a sincere, heartfelt smile.
"Delicious!" Toru exclaimed having not expected the perfection of Taka's cooking. The petite male's nerves visibly eased as he watched Toru savour his food joyously
"well...I do work part time at a restaurant.."
"you work too?"
"No one knows except the shop owner, I wanted to save up since Dad doesn't bother giving me an allowance"

"a hardworking kid aren't you?"
"I'm not a kid! I'll be 18 soon!" Taka protested, puffing up his cheeks.
Toru didn't know if it was Cupid or the pout that struck his heart, he just shrugged it off as he delivered the dirty cutlery into the sink.
"Hai hai, Don't be mad Taka-chan~" he chanted at the sight of Taka's red cheeks.
"Do you wanna go anywhere Taka?"
"Excuse me?"
"You know today is holiday. Let's hang out together?"
"I- I can't do that" Taka stuttered, waving his hands
"just consider it as comforting your old teacher's feelings" Toru stated laughing at Taka's baffled expression. "So? You going?"
"Uun..."
"Great!"
Toru drove Taka to a local festival. Decorations hung everywhere as traditional and casual clothes mingled. Games went off where adults and infants enjoyed them equally. The aroma of food rose as Taka's lips twisted upwards. He ran between the crowds dragging the blondie behind him. The two tried various games and food cantines, slumping on a bench at last after exhaustion took the best of them.
"Taka, did something happen when you went home to bring your clothes?" "No, I'm fine" Taka smiled, obviously pretending not to notice his bruises. Toru brushed the scratches on Taka's cheeks with his thumb gently before he noticed Taka's eyes lighting up. The teacher traced the juvenile's eyesight and spotted a man with a small wagon he moved around; a mini cotton candy shop.
"You want that?" Toru suddenly asked making a blush rise on the younger's cheeks.
"N-NO!"
"But you were staring" Toru smirked cheekily
"it was a coincidence!"
"Yeah i believe you" Toru winked as he got up amd marched towards the cotton candy carrier.
"Here" Toru smiled, handing Taka a pink cotton candy cone. Taka took the sugary treat silently, trying not to smile stupidly.

Taka's head snapped towards the clicking sound and found Toru taking pictures of him. "W-What!?"
"You looked so cute eating that" Toru laughed as he removed some pink pieces from the shorter's nose. Taka averted his gaze, his hand rose to his heart. It was racing....his stomach had butterflies....Toru's laugh...why?...
"Toru-chaaaan!" A man shouted from a distance. He walked closer towards the two. He had neck-length dark blonde hair and some brown stubble. "Ryota! Hi!" Taka watched as Toru got up to greet his friend "who's that?" The man called Ryota pointed at Taka
"oh...he's..my student"
"you're going out with a student Toru-chan?" Ryota said with a mischievous expression not matching his accusing tone.
"We just happened to be free on the same day" Taka stated calmly saving a bright red Toru.
"So what brings you here?" The teacher asked finally regaining his composure
"ah..the truth is" Ryota hesitated "I have a hiphop performance in a few minutes and my guitarist suddenly dropped out and..."
"you want me to take his place? No way"
"eeeeeh? Whyyy?"
"Sensei can play?!" Taka interrupted the adults with beaming eyes "I want to see that!"
"But-"
"pweeease?" Taka begged with puppy eyes, trying his cutest demeanor to coax his teacher. The latter stared at his almond eyes that held a hint of hope in their endless black "fine" Toru sighed audibly pushing past the others "yuppyy!" Taka chanted striding after Toru
"Thanks kid" Ryota called after Taka, trying to ignore the signs he caught. Maybe Toru finally got over his heartbreak?
Ignoring the depressing thoughts, Ryota ran after the couple. He found Taka gawking with awe at Toru as he tuned his guitar. "Hmmm maybeee" Ryota accidentally spelled aloud scratching his chin "maybe what?" Toru asked sternly "Taka can you sing?" Ryota turned towards Taka who now gave him his full attention "I've never tried it" "c'mon c'mon let me hear that voice of yours"
Taka did as he was told, capturing both of the adults' hearts during the process. After Taka's little chant ended, Ryota decided to add a special part to his performance that day; Taka's voice.
People gatheted around, waiting for Ryota's appearance. The first notes echoed from the guitar, and Ryota hit the floor. His flexible moves mixed well with Toru's guitar and Taka's voice. The three struck the audience like magic. Even time flew without them noticing.
Late in the evening, Toru ran his hands through his blonde locks as Taka pestered him "Sensei you're so good! Are you a pro??" "Nah, it's just a hobby. Besides I'm just a beginner"
"I don't believe you" Taka said while Toru already started moving.
"Senseeeei" Taka called delighted as he ran after Toru who was already passing the gates with the sinking sun.

Solace Laurent and Sage Reyes never got along. They fought and competed over everything, whether it was grades or afterschool clubs. She hated his arrogant, I-don't-care-about-the-rules behaviour and he loved to annoy her. Not one day went by in high school when an argument didn't break out until he disappeared without a trace. Solace, along with Sage's family and the entire school, thought he was dead. After months of criminal investigations, search parties, and missing persons posters, he was nowhere to be found. But what happens when Sage shows up at her doorsteps in the middle of the night, bruised and bloody?***"Sage?" whispered Solace in utter shock. He smirked at her as he leaned against the doorframe, looking her up and down from her blue penguin pajamas to her oversized t-shirt until he met her eyes. She felt a rush of emotions when she heard his voice after six months. It was the same: deep, unbothered, and familiar. "Solace Laurent, I need your help."
