Before you read this, please note that the only real characters in this chapter are Taka,Toru and the possible appearance of Ryota and Tomoya. Neither the other characters nor events are real.
"Good Morning!" "Good Morning Yamashita-sensei" the students chanted to their tall teacher, standing in a suit facing his class. The teacher's hair was short and blonde, tucked behind his ears. His features handsome enough to distract female students from his explanation. His smile was gentle, yet so mysterious.
Toru scanned around the room, watching as his students prepared their books diligently, except a certain someone his eyes landed on. "Moriuchi-kun! Stop daydreaming and get your books!" "Haaai" Taka spelled with boredom and a hint of sarcasm.
Taka, according to Toru, only needed discipline; he was a smart boy but lacked the ambition.
Yamashita-sensei sighed audibly as he held the chalk in between his long fingers and proceeded with writing the needed material for the lesson. Once the class was ready, tutorial started. Toru explained and elaborated, a hint of a smile tainting his lips as his confidence coursed through. ".....and this is the theory for-TAKAHIRO!" Toru shouted for the first time, startling his pupils. "STOP SKETCHING AND CONCENTRATE!" He sighed, letting his anger fade through. The blonde teacher pinched his brows and continued "you're a senior, this is your future we're talking about. Forget the distractions and study well, ne Moriuchi-kun?" Taka only clicked his tongue dropping his pencil. Hoping that his words did some good, Toru pursued his session.
At the end of the day, Toru walked through the courtyard enjoying the nostalgic noises of students chattering before heading home. His piercing black eyes were caught by a girl bumping into Takahiro Moriuchi. The young student apologized frantically as if Taka would kill her, however, Toru's eyes went wide; Taka bent down and extended his hand to help her up. "Are you alright?" He asked with a gentle smile, wiping some dust from her hair. Tens of eyes shot into Taka's back as he gave them the cold shoulder and exited the crowded area.

"He's a troublemaker. A rude spoiled teenager" a female teacher with the name tag Kiyoko spoke to the other teachers while they agreed without any hesitation.
Not being able to listen anymore, Toru stood up abruptly, hearing some yelps echoing "I don't think so. He isn't a bad person at heart"
"what do you mean?"They all asked in unison with confusion swimming in their eyes
"A mischievous kid won't help someone who fell down and care for their well-being. Neither will he laugh joyously while he pets a kitten that licks his face"
"a k-kitten?"
"Yeah, turned out we live in the same building so I saw him yesterday on my way home"
"and what should we do?"
"I'll try talking to him" Toru announced though not sure himself about the results.
"Moriuchi-kun? Have a second?" Toru asked through the open door during lunch. Taka silently stood up and headed to his tutor. The man was confused at the teen's missing lunch but brushed it off. "Is anything bothering you?" Toru dropped his question like steel on Taka. The young boy hesitated before spilling his words "what makes you think so?" He asked looking straight through Toru's solid eyes "I don't really know myself, but your actions are weird. You're a smart kid from what I've seen in exams, you're kind too. So why...do you act like that?"
Toru watched Taka's internal debate and quivering hands then spoke again. "You can tell me, I'm like your father" "YOU'RE NOT!" Taka screamed taking Toru aback "That's not what I mean! I-" he immediately stuttered seeing Toru's obvious astonishment "you wouldn't understand" Taka finally said before running off somewhere else while Toru thought he saw a hint of tears in his eyes.
For the following weeks, Taka avoided his teacher no matter how many times he tried to talk to him. But when the day Taka was absent came, Toru had his share of anxiety and headed over to his tiny student's house. He knocked twice, no one answered. The third time followed, and Toru smelled the reek of alcohol as the door swung open.

A tall man with stained clothes appeared, his face was cold and unshaved. A deep frown plastered on his face as he glared at Toru. The blondie swallowed his disgust and bowed slightly "Good evening. I'm Yamashita Toru, Moriuchi-kun's school teacher"

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
