《Flashback {Toruka}》Flashback 12

People are types; there are the strong and the weak of them. However, situations vary so even the strong are weak sometimes and vise versa. And that day was one of the days Taka felt vulnerable and helpless.
The vocalist opened his eyes and gazed around his massive bed. His white knuckles grazed the sheets beside him, they were cold. Where was Toru? He glanced around the room,no one. "Toru?" His voice cracked, but nobody answered. Anxiousness found its way through his skin attacking his fragile heart. Emptiness slowly climbed onto his feelings, sending tremors down his limbs.
Taka's feet slowly landed on the cold floor, gradually marching to the door while he clutched at the loose pyjama shirt he grabbed from Toru's closet the night before. The little man's eyes started to water as he shook his head attempting to throw out the horrible thoughts creeping to his core. Toru wouldn't leave him alone right? But he really was flawed and selfish,is it possible that Toru was tired of him?
Taka was busy trying to cut off the line of his thoughts when the door creaked open missing his face by millimetres. A tall blonde figure appeared causing the tears to finally stream down Taka's cheeks. "Having bad thoughts again?" Toru softly asked as he stroked his lover's back. Taka nuzzled his face deeper in Toru's solid chest trying to convey his broken feelings to the other man. He himself didn't know why he felt that way,yet he felt so miserable.
"I love you" the blondie whispered kissing Taka's head. "I love you" he repeated in a slow pace, his words a sweet lullaby to calm his agitated boyfriend. Eventually, Taka's fit passed like a temporary storm. Nevertheless, he didn't want to let go of Toru; he squeezed his arms tighter around Toru's waist hoping for the latter to get the signal. "Taka, baby,I am not going anywhere, not now,not ever. I was just downstairs preparing some breakfast for you. I promise I'll never leave" the guitarist tried to assure his soulmate while cupping his large palms around the other's wet cheeks. "C'mon let's go okay?" Toru whispered kissing Taka's forehead, shooting him a radiant smile.

Down in the living room, Toru motioned Taka onto the couch stating that he'll make an exception and bring him the food there. Though Taka intended to pull himself together and stop pressuring his lover, he started whining some time after Toru disappeared; it was too cold for the little clothing he was wearing. With a groan, he was once again on the frosty floor, yet, Toru ordering him to sit back again stopped him from mounting the stares.
Some minutes passed and Toru appeared in front of Taka again. Holding the silky blanket with the Gachapin print,in other words,Taka's favourite. Toru placed the food on the table and slumped on the couch cross-legged, pulling Taka into the gap. The Gachapin blanket was wrapped tightly around Taka who leaned into Toru's hug. "I'm going to spoil you rotten today. Here." the younger man uttered bringing a spoon of Taka's favourite soup to his plump lips. The vocalist savoured every drop of what Toru was feeding him, noting that Toru did a pretty great effort seeing that he rarely steps into the cooking world.
Although the food was done, neither of the two wanted to budge, they just sat there snuggled together into the warmth of their love. "Taka?" "Hm?" Toru felt relieved knowing his other half didn't fall asleep and continued "let's go buy matching earings" At the sound of that, Taka sprang from his relaxed position, joy clearly carving its route into his facial muscles. Considering that as a reply, Toru hoisted the shorter man into his arms guiding him to their shared room.
Some time later, the young couple stood in front of the earrings' stand at a jewellery store. While Toru was trying to satisfy his difficult taste, Taka strayed away observing the place intently. The vocalist's eyes landed on a particular table, the one stuffed with small boxes having shiny rings popping at the world.

The guitarist glanced at his lover and spotted the sadness squirming in his eyes. He steadily strolled towards him, wrapping his muscled arms around Taka's slender waist. "I'll find a way to buy an engagement ring for you. I promise." Toru mumbled as he rested his chin on Taka's head. "I'll wait,as long as it means that I'll be yours" Taka said hugging the arms around him. Confusion infused itself into Toru's features, directly followed by a devious smirk "what do you mean huh? You're already mine. I'm pretty conservative towards what belongs to me" The guitarist murmured kissing Taka's neck, earning an adorable giggle from the latter.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
