Driven on the Imola circuit, Y/N was putting all the pressure on his teammate Max Verstappen, fighting for the win, but Y/N couldn't get passed his more experienced teammate. Everdeen retired after losing the car going into Villeneuve chicane.

Top 3:

1. Max Verstappen (Porsche F1)

2. Y/N Y/L/N (Porsche F1)

3. Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari)

Portimao was the host of the Portugese Grand Prix.

Y/N was caught up in a mass collision, sending him

into the second DNF (did not finish) of the season. Everdeen reached his first podium by finishing P3 after Carlos Sainz hadn't got sufficient fuel in the car for the FIA to check everything.

Top 3:

1. Charles Leclerc

2. Lewis Hamilton

3. Tyler Everdeen

The track located in Sakhir was the host for an uneventful Grand Prix. Everdeen damaged his nose in turn 1 and essentially lost his race there already, Y/N was in a hard fought duel with Carlos Sainz for P2 and ended up ahead of the second Ferrari driver

Top 3:

1. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes AMG PETRONAS)

2. Y/N Y/L/N (Porsche F1)

3. Carlos Sainz (Scuderia Ferrari)

Back on the track where we had pre-season testing, I had managed to put it on the front row of the grid and I was once again busy chasing a car, I was behind Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari and I was much quicker then him. The whole weekend we've been quick and now I'm catching up to lead a grand prix.

Each corner I came a little closer, putting Leclerc under more and more pressure.

I moved to the inside, hoping it would distract the Monegasque, but he didn't care about it.

Okay then I'll have to get him before the braking zone I thought.

I never been this close, I'm essentially in his gearbox right now, going into sector 3. I then realized I took too much entry speed into the final corner, which left me understeering towards the outside more and more.

On the outside was a huge sausage curb.

I went over it with my left wheels and felt the car lose it's grip.

The car was grinding over the curb like a skateboard and before I knew it, I spun off into the gravel.

I tried to gently get out of the gravel trap, but the car was already beached.

FUCK, I'M SO SORRY GUYS. I screamed over the radio.

Turn off the engine Y/N. Said Jeff.

I did... I undid my seatbelts, disconnected my team radio wire, removed the headrest, threw out the steering wheel and climbed out.

Once out the car I picked up the steering wheel again and put it back.

I walked to the tire barrier and gave it a hard kick.

What a fucking disaster...

Y/N... The young driver, fueled with anger walked back to the pitlane, helmet still on with the visor closed.

That's a horrible feeling, he knows he's done it all himself. Said the commentator.

A camera man followed him up through the pitlane and it was clear he was definitely not in the mood for a camera in his face.

He walked to his team, face down and the camera filmed Y/N going into the garage, he threw his gloves against the wall and walked out off the shot.

The replay shows the onboard of Y/N going off and also his eager to get out.

Then a slow mo shot of Y/N going into the gravel...

That was gut wrenching to see.

They then broadcasted his team radio, the scream hit me right through the spine.

Normally Y/N would have texted me already, perhaps he just wants to cut himself off from any contact... I thought.

Just at that moment, as if it was planned I got a text from Y/N.

Mads, can I facetime you? He asked

Sure thing. I texted back

A few moments later, we were on the phone.

So how are you? I asked

Exhausted, disappointed, frustrated... But that's not what I wanted to talk about, I actually wanted to just shut the racing off for tonight, just being a normal teenager. He said, quite cheered up.

That's totally cool, I'm more then happy to just act like we're regular teens. I responded. I was kinda surprised, the normally so focused and analytical handsome lad was for once completely out of the racing mind.

Well one thing racing related, I got a plane tomorrow to catch. He began

And? What's the catch? I asked.

Well it's to Los Angeles. He said smirking.

My heartbeat shot up.

You're coming to LA, but for what? I asked.

The next race is in Long Beach silly, how could you forget? He asked mocking me.

Shut up bozo. I said.

No you. He said

Have you gotten a hotel already? I asked.

Nah, I was obviously calling to ask you for a good hotel. He said sarcastic.

Nope, I was wondering if I could stay at your place, if you're cool with that. He continued.

If you keep mocking me I'll redirect you to a hotel. I said.

He smirked, he played along.

Hmmm, okay, if you decline the offer, I'll stay in a hotel, but then a VIP ticket for in the pit box I had for you in store will go to a random fan. He said smirking.

WHAT?! I said

No way I could decline this one.

That's what I thought. He said

Obviously, you'd get that ticket anyway, even if you send me to sleep in a hotel. He continued.

Nah nah, you can stay, I got nothing planned. I said, smiling out of joy.

Awwww, look at you, all soft and stuff. He teased.

Ohh you stop it. I responded.

You know, you look really cute with that soft smile. He said.

And you're a completely different person when not in the racing mind. I said.

I'm aware and I'm glad that's the case. He said.

You in race mode definitely seem like the type of guy to road rage in traffic.

Hmmm, you're not far off, I do get annoyed super easily, that's why I like to let others drive me to the circuits. He said.

Smart lad, say what time and day will you arrive at the airport? I asked.

Well I get up quite early tomorrow and since I'm not traveling with the team as the race has one weekend in between, I can make use of my private jet, but It'll still take 13 hours or sum. Take off is around 11 AM. So I should land around 6PM in LA, that is without delays. He said.

Alright, do you want me to pick you up or you get a cab? I asked.

If you could pick me up, that'd be great, we could even take a bite somewhere. He said

That's cool to me, I guess you should get some sleep then to avoid sleeping through your alarm. I said.

Got experience? He asked smirking.

Plenty, we'll be through the whole night if I'd tell you all the times it happened. I said.

Hmmm, good point, it's around 10PM here, luckily I packed up everything, I gotta get up at 6 AM. He said while yawning.

Well then, have a good sleep handsome, we still talked about racing. I said

I know, but I genuinely enjoyed this convo a lot, seeing you so cheered up cheered me up as well. He said.

Hmmm, now go to sleep. I said.

I will, goodnight mommy. He said smirking.

Goodnight as I blew him a kiss.

Holy fuck, am I catching feelings again? I genuinely thought it was impossible. I thought.

I caught myself staring at her contact...

I put my Spotify playlist on shuffle and the first song that popped up is Teenager in love...

Oh come on, stop playing with me Spotify.

After the song was done playing, the next song was...

Can't help falling in love, by Elvis Presley... I could not believe it.

I went to lay in bed, still thinking about her...

I genuinely thought that it would stick to some innocent flirting...

Now I'm catching feelings again for someone, while I don't even know if she feels the same way...

With Ava it was so much easier... I dunno, we'll see where this ship wrecks...
