"Babe?" Ryujin sighed. "Baby, are you even listening to me?" She asked as she tapped your hand, trying to get your attention.

"Hm, what?" You mumbled as you turned to look at her.

"I've been talking to you." She chuckled. "It seems like you're not even listening."

Her voice was soft, just as her eyes were as she looked at you.

Sitting across from her in the restaurant where you're sharing a nice lunch date together, you seem so distracted by your phone that it feels like you're barely paying attention to Ryujin.

She's talking to you about her week and the activities that she and the girls are busy with but it feels like her every word is going in one of your ears and out the other.

"What are you up to?"

"Nothing." You said. "I'm sorry, I was zoned out a bit. I'm listening."

She didn't exactly believe you because you stared back down at your phone, staring at your screen.

She sighed before getting up from her seat and scooting into yours.

She put her cheek on your shoulder and curiously looked at your screen.

What she saw was not what she expected to see.

A photo.

One you took together this morning.

Curled up in bed together, you took a selfie with her a few minutes after you woke up.

Ryujin was kissing your cheek and your smile was bright. You were in her arms, head on her shoulder as you basked in the warmth and happiness you always feel when she holds you.

Her heart fluttered and the annoyance she once felt faded.

She stared at you adoringly and brushed a lock of hair behind your ear before kissing your neck softly.

"That's cute."

You looked at her, a smile on your face despite your cheeks flushing a little due to feeling slightly embarrassed.

"Staring at the photo we took together this morning is not what I expected. But it's sweet. You're sweet."

"I can't help it. I think it's my favorite we've ever taken. I love it and I love you."

"I love you too, sweet girl."

You shared a sweet kiss before she put her arms around you and you laid your head on hers, feeling inexpressibly happy when you're with her.
