Ryujin took a deep breath before slipping the surprise she had for you into the pocket of her sweats before she got up from the edge of the bed and walked to the bathroom, leaning against the doorway to watch you with a smile on her face.

You placed the toothbrush back in the holder before you began to rinse out your mouth. When you reached for the towel to dry your mouth, that's when you noticed your sweet girlfriend standing there.

"Hey, baby," You grinned.

"Hi, my love."

"So, what did you have planned for today? You said you had something special in mind."

"Yeah, well, that's all up to you."

You furrowed your eyebrows and gazed into her bright brown eyes as you waited for her to explain more.

"Name whatever it is you want to do. Doesn't matter where it is or how much it costs, just name it and we'll do it."

"Are you serious?"

"So serious, my love. I will say yes to whatever it is, just say it."

She nodded and you thought about it for a second before a few ideas came to mind.

"Can we go out for dinner at that new spot in the city tonight?"

"Yes." She replied.

"Can we go bike riding?"

"Yes, absolutely." She smiled as you squealed in excitement.

"Can we build a fort tonight and binge-watch Netflix?"

"Yes."

"Can we go out for ice cream?"

"Absolutely, baby."

You threw your arms around her in excitement and it made her heart melt, a big smile tugging at her lips as she put her arms around you.

"Now it's my turn to ask you some questions."

"Okay!"

"Alright. So, tomorrow, can we go for a picnic date?"

"Yes." You happily agreed.

"Can we go see a movie?"

"Yes!"

"Will you marry me?"

You were halfway through the word 'yes' when the question sank in.

"Ryujin, are you serious?"

She stuck her hand in her pocket before pulling out the ring.

Instantly, a soft gasp fell from your lips in surprise as she got down on one knee in front of you.

"I'm so, so in love with you, my girl." She softly whispered as she stared into your eyes, watching tears fill them. "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to marry you; I want that more than I've ever wanted anything else. So, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" You sniffled. "A thousand times yes, baby. Marrying you is all I want, too."

She stood up and instantly put her lips on yours for a sweet kiss as a tear slipped down your cheek. She was quick to wipe it away before she took your hand into hers and brought it to her lips for a kiss, her eyes locked with yours the entire time her lips brushed against your knuckles.

When she pulled away, she slid the ring on your finger and you teared up once more as you took in how incredibly beautiful it was.

"That's the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It's perfect, Ryujin." You sniffled as you put your arms around her neck.

"Good. It's what you deserve, baby girl. A perfect ring for my perfect girl."

You giggled happily and pulled her in for another kiss and as it sank in that you were engaged, soon to be her wife so you can spend the rest of your lives together, she couldn't help but cry a little, too.

"I've never been so happy." She whispered as she brushed a lock of hair behind your ear.

"Same here." You said, pulling her in for another kiss. "I love you so much, my soon-to-be wife."

"I love you more, my love." She smiled against your lips. "Come on, we have to go tell everyone that we're getting married!"

She took your hand and rushed into the bedroom with you, reaching for her phone to call everyone to share the exciting news.
