Graycen woke up in a surprisingly calm matter. When she first opened her eyes, she noticed Taehyung with his head drawn back. Graycen shifted into a more comfortable position in the bed causing Taehyung's head to shot up. Graycen looked down at her stomach then to Taehyung, who now was standing by the side of the bed.
"Did they remove the baby yet?" Graycen asked with her voice in a groggy matter. "I fell asleep."
"You were freaking out," Taehyung said, "you didn't lose the baby, but they're keeping you overnight."
"We didn't lose the baby?!" Graycen asked with her eyes wide. "Oh my god, I thought we lost her."
Taehyung gave her a weak smile, he was tired, "No, we didn't lose our baby. Other than the ultrasound, they wrapped up your feet and removed the shards of glass from you. They'll be keeping you for eight more hours to monitor the baby." Graycen wordlessly nodded, feeling her eyes water in relief. "Graycen, I'm so sorry."
Graycen frowned slightly when she saw the tiredness displayed on Taehyung's face, "For what?"
"The nursery room," he sighed with his eyes on the floor, "it was irresponsible for me to leave it trashed. I've been too busy and just too distracted to clean it up."
Graycen hummed, "Or maybe you're not ready to just clean up?"
"Huh?"
"You're probably not ready to look at the nursery room," Graycen assumed, "I mean it doesn't seem far fetched." Taehyung didn't say anything, just looked up with bewilderment on his face. "It's okay, Taehyung, I can help clean it up."
"Absolutely not." Taehyung sternly said, his voice rising slightly. "I don't need you getting hurt again."
Graycen rolled her eyes, "Fine, but I want to help set it up. This is our baby, right? We deserve to set up the room together."
Taehyung agreed with a small smile, "Yeah, you're right. We could do the shopping tomorrow and call the boys over to help as well."
"Yeah," Graycen grinned, "I would love that. I would also like pickles and mac and cheese."
Graycen giggled at Taehyung's expression, "Don't give me that face it's so good."
"You're forgetting that you forced me to eat it when you were pregnant with Drew," Taehyung chuckled as Nichole lightly swatted his arm, "it's nasty."
"You just have no taste," Graycen said dismissively. "Our baby and I love it."
Taehyung said in amusement as he gave her a faux disgusted expression, "You're a mess sometimes."
"And so are you."
It was a beat of silence for a while until Taehyung cleared his throat, "I want you to live with me." Graycen blinked with a blank expression.
"What?"
"I want you to stay with me, Graycen," Taehyung said with much more confidence now. "Your sister has a demanding job and we need to start preparing for the baby."
Graycen bit on her lower lip, "Only until she's born, okay?"
"Yeah, of course." Taehyung nodded as he tapped on the side of the bed to move away. "I'll go get the nurses and tell them your awake. I want to get out of here."
"Alright."
-
When the nurses cleared Graycen to go home, Taehyung drove them straight to her sister's house. Taylor and her boyfriend were standing outside when Graycen and Taehyung arrived. Taylor hurried to help her sister out the car so she can wrap her arms tightly around her neck.

"Why love and affection, Tay?" Graycen asked with amusement in her voice.
"Because you're moving out."
Graycen pulled herself from her sister's hold to chortle, "Only temporarily, anyway, let me go pack up."
Graycen turned to look at Taehyung and somehow he understood that she was ready to just pack and go. "I'll follow you into your room to help you pack." He told her and Graycen nodded then hurried to her room. Graycen stood in front of her closet with a blank expression, pondering about how she and Taehyung would live together.
"Will Taehyung and I get along? What if I'm unhappy there? Will things get even more awkward?" Graycen thought to herself as she started to pick up many of her clothes and tossed them on her bed. Graycen scrummaged through dressers to pull out undergarments, socks, and many personal things.
As Graycen was folding her shirts and pants, there was a light knock on the door. Graycen turned her head to see her sister with a medium-sized suitcase in his arms. "Thought you would need this."
Graycen gave her sister a grateful smile, "Thank you, Taylor."
"I'll take overpacking for you," Taylor said suggestively, "go in the car and I will bring your suitcase to you." Graycen breathed through her nose as she slowly stood up from the floor, "Don't forget to pack everything for me. I would hate if I lost anything, y' know?"
Taylor nodded, "I know I got this, sis." Graycen giggled at her sister's exaggerations before she pecked her cheek and left the room. Graycen ignored her sister's boyfriend to go outside and into the backseat of Taehyung's car. Taehyung flinched and clutched his chest silence sound of his car door opening and closing.
"Dammit, you scared me."
Graycen hummed before put on her seatbelt, "I hope this isn't a mistake."
It took a few seconds before Taehyung answered with a sigh, "Yeah, me too. I just want everything to go well because I feel like we deserve this."
Graycen smiled softly, "Yeah, I know. You always wanted a baby and now you're having one. I understand that you want all to go well, I do too."
"Yeah."
After that nothing was said, Graycen and Taehyung sat in silence until Taylor knocked on Taehyung's side of the car window. Taehyung hopped out and took the suitcase from Taylor to put it in the trunk. Graycen rolled her window down to say her final goodbyes to her sister. Taylor blew several kisses and waved a couple of times to Graycen and Taehyung. Taylor even spewed out a few warnings to Taehyung.
"Take care of her or I'll kill you!"
Taehyung chuckled and nodded in understanding, "I won't hurt your sister, Taylor."
Surprisingly, Graycen remained awake throughout the ride to Taehyung's apartment. Taehyung helped Graycen out the car before he retrieved her suitcase from the trunk. "Thank you for doing this, I don't think I thanked you yet."
Taehyung led them into his apartment and gave her a tight-lipped smile, "You don't have to think me, I just want to make sure our baby is alright."
"Yeah," Graycen hummed, "I'm going to clean up and then go to sleep I think."
"Okay, let me take you to the room."
Graycen just chuckled and said in a sarcastic tone, "No need for a tour around, I used to live here." Taehyung ignored her sarcasm and carried her suitcase to the guest room. "Do you need help with anything?"

Graycen shook her head, "Nope, everything else I'm sure I know. You should go to sleep, you had a long day."
"I did have one," Taehyung agreed but then quickly assured, "my day wasn't anything compared to yours."
"I saw the look on your face," Graycen said casually before opening her suitcase, "you're exhausted, that's not good for a surgeon. I can take care of myself, go to sleep." Taehyung was about to protest, but Graycen spoke before he could say anything. "Taehyung, I'm serious. I promise if I need anything that I will call you."
"Okay, have a good night sleep."
"I wish the same for you," Graycen said as Taehyung walked out and closed the bedroom door lightly.
-
Graycen was up earlier than Taehyung the next day. After Graycen took her shower and brushed her teeth, she was munching on croissants that she found on top of the counter. Scrolling through her Facebook feed was tiring, but she still did to catch up on everything. Right as she was going to comment on a distant cousin's post, her phone vibrated in her hand.
It was Reece calling her and enthusiastically, Graycen answered. Reece was a family friend of hers.
"Hello?"
"Haven't heard from you in a while, momma cow," Reece said over the phone then chuckled. "I miss us hanging out together, you know?"
Graycen giggled at the name then huffed, "I miss that, too. How are you doing though, is life treating you well?"
"Yeah, Texas is nice. Is life treating you kind?"
Graycen took a moment to respond, "No, not at all. I just- I'm so stressed out and almost everything is falling to pieces."
"Why?"
Graycen told Reece everything from her shop getting trashed to her having to move back in with Taehyung.
"So, you're back in the house with him?"
Graycen sighed, "Yes, last night was my first night back. I couldn't sleep at all and I just felt so lonely."
"Damn, I bet."
"I wish things weren't this way, I mean- I did move on, though."
Reece clicked his tongue, "Moved on?"
"The divorce doesn't really hurt me anymore," Graycen said which was kinda true. Graycen came to terms that Taehyung didn't want to be in the marriage any more and she was fine with that. "Before I was a crying mess, I mean even after we made up I was still sad. Don't get me wrong though; I often reminisce."
"Which is normal."
Graycen played with the loose thread on her grey leggings, "I know, I know."
Graycen and Reece talked more about how Reece was going to get his Ph.D. and how Texas was. They didn't stay on the phone for too long because Reece had to go which was fine to Graycen. As Graycen hung up, she heard three knocks on the door and loud chatter from behind the door.
Graycen reluctantly went to the door after she stared at it, "Who is it?"
"Who do you think?!"
Graycen automatically recognized the familiar voice and unlocked the door to open it. There stood six guys who were Taehyung's best friends. "Graycen?!" Jungkook was the main one, shocked.
Yoongi yawned, "Well, are you going to invite us in?" Graycen stepped aside and allowed them all to come in. Graycen closed and locked the door as the six made their selves at home.
"Graycen, come sit with us."
Graycen sat in between Namjoon and Jimin. They all talked about Jimin's new dance studio in Brooklyn, Namjoon's new girlfriend, and Seokjin becoming a CEO for a business firm. Graycen fit right into the conversations and laughed to all jokes.
They must've laughed way too hard because Taehyung came out of his room with his shirt off and his sweatpants hanging low.
"Look at the baby," Seokjin said with his eyes on Taehyung, "I'm guessing you just woke up?"
Taehyung rubbed his eyes tiredly and asked groggily, "What are you guys doing here? I didn't need your help until one."
"It's eleven-thirty," Jimin smiled, "we just wanted to get done by one then we can hang out."
"Why?!" Taehyung groaned, walking to his kitchen. "How long have you guys been here?"
Namjoon answered, "Maybe for thirty minutes now. We're just going to get started and you can just try to wake up."
"I am up!"
Yoongi snorted, "Barely, we're just going to get started."
Graycen stood up with the other guys and as she tried to walk into the nursery room, she felt an arm hold her back. Graycen turned her head to see Taehyung looking sternly at her, "What are you doing?"
"Going to help?"
Taehyung shook his head, "No, you're not even supposed to stay on your feet for so long. You need to relax."
Graycen frowned and felt herself being challenged, "It's my baby, too! I want to help!"
Taehyung noticeably took a deep breath before responding, "I never said that our baby wasn't your baby either. I didn't once say that your foot is injured, Graycen. Just sit down and wait, we're supposed to go shopping for the nursery anyway."
Graycen groaned and shook his hand off of her arm and stormed off into her guest room, upset and tired. As soon as she laid down onto the bed, she closed her eyes to sleep.
*
Graycen woke up to Taehyung lightly tapping her and with him checking her bandage. "You know we have to change this bandage, right?" Graycen huffed and sat up, moving her foot away from Taehyung.
"I can take care of myself."
Taehyung closed his eyes for a few seconds before looking back at Graycen, "Graycen, I understand we aren't together anymore. I understand that and I know you can take care of yourself. However, I care about our baby. I care about our baby, so I need you to allow me to take care of our baby."
Graycen looked down at her stomach than at Taehyung, "The baby isn't born yet, you're not taking care of our baby. You're taking care of me."
"Maybe because I care about you, Graycen." Graycen felt her body get shivers and her eyes get watery. Graycen avoided all eye contact with Taehyung. "We're finally having a baby, this was always a miracle we wanted. Hell, we needed this. Us not being together is not going to change that for me, shouldn't change for you, either. Our baby shouldn't have to suffer and our baby won't."
Graycen opened her mouth then closed it, "Okay."
"So, are we coming to an agreement that you'll allow me to take care of you and the baby?"
"Yes."
Taehyung hummed before speaking again, "I need you to look at me."
Graycen huffed but nonetheless looked at him. "Okay, I'll allow it."
"Good, now let's change this bandage."

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
