Taehyung ended up in the parking lot of Graycen's job at eight at the night and he spent must of his time in his car, pondering. Looking around, the vacant parking lot he noticed nobody was there but he saw Graycen's car and just as he saw her car, she was walking towards it. He took that time to hop out of his car and go over there.
Once Graycen noticed him, her eyes widened and she immediately started shaking her head. "No, not today, I don't wanna fight with you."
"We don't have to do any of that," he assured her with a reaching hand. Graycen just ignored it to say, "It's late, cold, and I don't know why you're here but you should get home. So should I."
Taehyung wanted to shout at her so she would hear him out but he knew it wasn't going to work like that, he had to be the bigger person. It was 43 degrees outside, the sounds of crickets were annoying, and now them staring into each other's eyes added into the tense atmosphere.
"Graycen, I just wanna talk, I seriously just want to talk." Taehyung said calmly, looking at her eyes then looking her stomach with his eyes, briefly. "I just need to talk you, I need to say something and I need you to hear me, please?" Her hand slipped off of the car handle slightly before taking a long sigh and nodding her head, "Fine."
"Alright," he took a deep breath before rubbing his hands together, "so I've been going over the paperwork. You know the paperwork—"
"I don't need this right now—"
"At first glance it was really frustrating," Taehyung continued before sucking in a long breath, "it was really frustrating because it was really fair. It was written by two people who really loved each other, who cared for each other. We really wanted to protect each other and wanted what was best for each other. Honestly, I don't know where those two people went and I think time can fix us. I just don't like it, I don't like who I'm turning into. I don't wanna treat you badly or have to pretend that we're okay when we're not at our baby shower.

The person that wrote and signed that contract was your bestfriend. I was your best friend, Graycen, you were my favorite person. I feel like that's who I should be dealing with. I just want us to treat each other the way we did when we signed the paperwork."
Taehyung took a deep breath after he was finished and watched as Graycen walked over to him. "I'm sorry about going to Australia and I know sorry will never be enough. I was selfish, I was inconsiderate, and I will respect your decision of the divorce." That's when Taehyung pulled her into a hug, nothing felt better than this right now. "Thank you, Graycen."
When she pulled back he thought he did something wrong, but her hands automatically went to her stomach. "I'm—, what the hell?"
"What happened?"
"Give me your hand," Graycen told him as he reluctantly reached his hand out, "do you want to feel something totally weird, but awesome?" She didn't give him to answer before she placed his hand on the side of her stomach.
"Woah," Taehyung gasped before letting out a breathless laugh, "is that a kick?!"
"Yep!"
"He's kicking," Taehyung spoke softly, focusing on her stomach.
"Or she's kicking," Graycen hummed before she felt Taehyung's hand on top of hers, "you look really happy." Happy was an understatement, Taehyung's eye crinkles came out along with his boxy smile.
"This baby can kick." Which he said barely audible, his eyes starting to fill with water. This moment was like a breath of fresh air to him. He couldn't believe any of this. He never got the privilege to feel his first baby kick.
"Our baby can kick." Graycen chuckled before bringing Taehyung into another hug. "We're going to be great parents."
"You think so?"
Graycen nodded against his chest as she let out a hum, "I know so."
Standing next to Taehyung without any tension or petty arguments felt unreal. We stood outside of the backyard of my parents' house with our families. The great thing was that our families got along so it was nice to see. "Hello everyone!" My sister basically shouted into the microphone. "It's your girl, Taylor! Make some noise!"

Everyone and also I cheered for my extra ass sister holding the microphone with a huge smile. "I helped plan this event for my sister, Graycen and Taehyung. I just want to say that it's a miracle and blessing to be able to be having a child. Does everyone agree, right?!" Everybody cheered once again and in the middle of Taylor's speech, Taehyung turned to me. "We should probably announce that we got our divorce."
"Forreal?" It took me by surprise because the only people he didn't really know was his parents. I was a bit scared but the look on his face showed me he didn't cared. "Is that something you're willing to do? It might ruin your family's night?"
"Graycen," Taehyung said with all seriousness, "I think it's time we say something. It's just not right to pretend we're still married, right?"
"Right." I nodded and we both got up and took the microphone from Taylor once she was done. As soon as I raised the microphone to my mouth, cheers came out from everyone. "Thank you, thank you. I just want to say thank you for joining us, really."
"You're welcome baby!"
I heard from my father which made me chuckle and then I looked over to Taehyung. I was wondering how I was going to break the news but he whispered in my ear that it'd be fine. "Okay so everyone, we have something to tell you." My eyes were mainly looking at Taehyung's parents, my stomach was turning like crazy. "As you guys may know, Taehyung and I met in high school and we kicked it off. Taehyung and his family were amazing to me and my own family. For that, I'd like to say thank you."
I felt myself getting emotional and Taehyung's hand on my shoulder to ease my nerves. "Um wow, I know this is going to be a lot to take in but Taehyung and I are no longer together." The silence in the room was tight and that made me worst. Taehyung's hand squeezed my shoulder and I continued on.
"I would always love Taehyung but we were no longer happy together. We are on good terms obviously and we hope that none of this affects anything. Like I said before I still love Taehyung, his family, he was my first love and husband. His parents will always be my in laws in spirit, thank you for everything, the Kims. Thanks for every single memory, Taehyung." I looked over to him and noticed that he was crying too. "Thank you for everything and we're going to be amazing parents, regardless."
I didn't expect a bunch of claps from our families but that's what we got. Taehyung and I gave each other a small hug and that was when Taylor joined us, teary eyed. "I love you both so much and I respect your decision. Is it hard to take in? Yes, but y'all happiness comes first. Am I right, guys?"
A few claps and comments came from our families. They were very silent and I couldn't really blame them. It's a hard pill to swallow. "We have bigger things to worry about and that's the baby! So I came up with a unique way to figure the gender out. Jimin, pass the silly string cans!"
Silly string? I was so confused but I took a white can from Jimin and so did Taehyung. We were the only ones with the cans and when I looked at everyone else, phones and cameras were out recording. "Okay," Taylor sung in a high pitched voice, "Taehyung and Graycen, on my count of three, silly string each other!"
"1...
...2
...3!"
Taehyung ended up shooting the silly string and I was too stuck after three. My fingers weren't cooperating. The string was pink, the string was a bright pink. Taehyung dropped his can and started jumping up and down with his family. We were having a girl, oh my goodness. We were having a girl and I was too excited.
I didn't even notice I was in my parents' arms until I saw my dad crying in front of me. I was having a baby girl, Taehyung and I were having a baby girl.
