Giovanni's POV
As I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Gianna. She smiled brightly but there were tears in her eyes.
"Oh Gio," she sniffled.
"I'm fine," I smiled. I winced a little. My shoulder felt pretty sore and I felt extremely weak.
"Hey man," Grayson came out behind her.
"Hey," I smiled once more, "You guys came." I looked around at the amount of people that came to see me. I felt truly loved honestly.
"Gio," Gina said quietly, "Thank you for everything." Gina wasn't ome for emotions, but I know these past couple of days made a huge impact on her. It was messy, out of her control and downright eye opening.
"Anything for you," I looked at her, "You are my one and only sister. I will protect you with my life." Tears welled up in her eyes and she didn't know what to say. I held out my hand and she quickly grabbed it.
"Where is my son?" A man asked loudly down the hallway.
"Sir," it sounded like a doctor, "he has the maximum amount of visiors."
"I don't care," his voice got closer. Everyone in the room parted as he peered into the room. His eyes narrowed at the sight of me and he entered.
"Father," I said.
"Giovanni," he looked at me in contempt, "What is the meaning of this?"
"I got shot," I said simply.
"Doing what?" He asked impatiently.
"Alex was kidnapped," I started, "Along with the real Leonardo."
His eyes immediately widened in surprise. He looked around the room and found the one person that he looked like.
"What is this?" He walked up to Leonardo but Aurora blocked his path.
"Drop the act," Gianna said, "We know the story."
"Who are you really?" Gina asked quietly.

"I am your father," he scoffed at her, "I may look like someone else, but the both of you are still my children."
"Why would you do something like that?" Alex spoke up, "Why would you steal someone's life?"
"He isn't a saint," my father complained.
"Barely anyone in this room is," Aurora looked at him harshly, "Try another lie."
"This is not a conversation for the hospital," my father stated, "When Giovanni is released, we will speak at my home. Does this mean Gina knows about the company?"
"I do," Gina responded.
"Have you made a decision?" He looked at her.
"When Giovanni is released, we will speak at your home," she mocked him and I couldn't help but smile. He gave her a cold stare and left immediately.
"What is your decision, Gina?" I looked at her.
"I don't want to do it," Gina looked at her hands.
"That will be challenging," I said, "but worth it." I looked at Gianna with nothing but love for her. It was the most nerve wracking experience that I've ever had in my life.
"I don't want to kill anyone or put the people I love in danger," Gina continued, "I just want to be happy."
"So do I," I held on to Gianna's hand, "I'm ready to put this life behind me."
Alex's POV
Jamie and I went home to give Gina some time with her family. She told us to come get her closer to night time.
"What should we do?" I looked at Jamie.
"We could probably get something to eat," she suggested. My belly grumbled in response.
"Food it is," I said.
We arrived at Mc Donald's and I ordered my favourite combo, Big Mac.
"I'll have a quarter pounder please," she said to the cashier. He couldn't help but stare and all I could do was chuckle. Jamie wasn't giving him the time of day, and he was trying so hard. I paid him and we walked off smiling.

"Why do you look so goofy?" She looked at me confused.
"Didn't you notice the cashier checking you out?" I nudged her.
"What?" She looked back at him surprised, "Why didn't you tell me? We could have gotten a free meal!" I couldn't help but laugh.
"It's fine," I smiled, "It didn't cost that much."
"So do you think Gina will change her mind?" Jamie asked as we sat down at a table.
"I think we shouldn't assume," I looked at her, "Her family might cut her off. Gio probably has enough money to survive without ever finding a job. Gina hasn't really started anything yet, so money is definitely an issue. As much as money doesn't matter to people, you don't want to live struggling either. You want to be able to provide for yourself and the people that you love."
"I'll provide for us," Jamie said, "I have enough money to never get a job."
I smiled, "True, but we're not even in a relationship Jamie. I don't know if we can even get legally married. I don't think we should make monetary decisions so soon in a relationship."
"Ugh," Jamie looked at me, "that basement has changed you."
I sighed, "It has a little. It gave me a lot to think about. If Gina does decide to follow in her family footsteps, I don't know what I'd do."
"Me either," Jamie replied, "I've grown so attached to the both of you."
"Same over here," I laughed.
"What about your virginity?" Jamie asked quietly.
"What do you mean?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Wouldn't you want to experience being with a guy?" She suggested.
"Why would I wanna do that?" I looked at her extremely confused, "I would barely know him. I'm fine never experiencing it. When it's time, it'll happen. Doesn't matter if it's a fake one."
Jamie smiled widely at me and that emotion came stirring inside of me once more. I wondered who would be the first to pop the question? She stood up to collect our order, and I could see her flirting with the guy. She whispered something in his ear, and I saw him add some chicken nuggets to our order.
"Free of charge?" I grinned as she sat down.
"Free of charge!" She said happily.
Gianna's POV
"When will he be fine to leave?" I asked the doctor.
"He can actually leave tomorrow," she said, "We just needed to observe him for a day to ensure that everything is well. He just needs to regain his strength, so he needs a lot of rest."
"Sure," I nodded.
"Gina," Gio called out to her.
"I'm here," she moved to his side.
"When we speak to father tomorrow, I'll be on your side," he said to her with sincerity.
"I appreciate it," she said gratefully.
"You have an inheritance now that you're eighteen," he explained, "If he decides to kick you out, know that the inheritance is yours. It's a fail safe plan that mom put in order for us to survive even though we don't want to be part of the business. I suggest you start your own company, so that it would provide income for you."
"How do you know all this?" I looked at Gio.
"Mom talks a lot," he smiled, "and I spend a lot more time with her than Gina does. They really weren't there for her."
"I have you," Gina said firmly, "That's enough."
