The door opened, and there stood the man Sid. Gio had shown me pictures of what he would look like. He did look strangely familiar seeing him face to face, but I ignored the nostalgic feeling.

"Gianna," he whispered.

"In the flesh," I chuckled nervously. His eyes looked over me as though I was a ghost.

"Come in," he stepped aside. I walked in and observed as much as I could, observing each detail.

"This place won't look familiar to you," he said, "We didn't live here."

"Oh," I said quietly.

"What has made Giovanni agree to this?" His eyebrows raised suspiciously. I needed to answer carefully or he'll figure out that we're up to something.

"I convinced him," I said plainly, "These are innocent lives at stake and they mean a lot to my family. I don't see the harm in seeing if there's a connection between the both of us."

"What if there is?" He stared even harder.

"I don't know," I looked away, "I haven't thought that far ahead. My only decision was to come here and see what's possible." This was all a lie of course. I knew exactly what I was going to do.

"Do you remember anything?" He sat in the living room.

"You look familiar," I admitted, "but that's quite about it. There are no memories attached to that feeling."

"I'm hoping that something jobs your memory," he smiled.

"So what's going to happen to Alex and Leonardo?" I joined him in the living room.

"I'm not going to let them out just because you walked in," he smirked, "This could be a trap for all I know."

"You're right," I nodded, "I didn't expect you to do that. I don't expect you to let them out at all."

"I'm wounded that you think that of me," he placed a hand over his heart, "I am a man of my word. I will release them, but not within a day."

"I understand," I said softly, "So, tell me our love story."

Giovanni's POV

Listening to her was making me sick. I knew she was just playing the part, but it broke my heart each time she spoke to him.

"Gio," Gina placed an arm on my shoulder, "She's going to be fine."

"I know," I sighed, "It's just hard to hear." Gina, Jamie and I were in the house exactly opposite to Sid's own. Grayson and Aurora were in the house next to Sid's own. The houses were abandoned and it provided the perfect place for a stakeout. Gina and Jamie were playing the role of my younger sisters. Aurora and Grayson were playing the role of newlyweds. Except, there was a twist. Everyone looked extremely different we used special masks to change the look of our faces. Gina and Jamie look drastically different with blonde hair and blue eyes. I have blonde hair and blue eyes as well.

Aurora was made to look slightly younger, and Grayson was made to look a little bit older than her. Our faces were unrecognizable and this is so that we could walk out openly in front of the house to spy and gain information. First up, was Aurora and Grayson. I peeked at them through the window of the house with binoculars. They were supposedly going out for a jog around the neighborhood.

Nice.

Grayson's POV

Aurora and I were now Janet and Peter. We stepped outside to head for a jog. She wore a sports bra and leggings along with sneakers. The way the leggings gripped her, she looked so fucking sexy. She raised an eyebrow at me when she caught me staring.

"See something you like?" She smiled.

"Well you're mine to look at and appreciate," I laughed and she blushed. It's so strange. Our age difference is small, but she has so much maturity. I guess having a child does that to you.

"I have a question," she asked as we started jogging.

"Sure," I glanced at the house as we passed it. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

"Did you know about this?" She asked quietly, "About Sid and Jhonny? Even Leonardo?"

I sighed and nodded. It was out in the open and I couldn't keep it a secret anymore.

"Well," she gave me a small smile, "Since I found out, can we start dating? There are no secrets left to keep."

I looked at her in shock. I was sure that she would hate me knowing that I kept something like that from her.

"Janet -" I started.

"The nature of this job is special," she cut me off, "I honestly understand what you had to do. I know you can't promise that it won't happen again, but I don't care. Nothing can be worse than this."

I stopped jogging and tugged her arm. We were both sweaty from the jogging and my eyes searched her face to see if she was lying. She looked at me with only love in her eyes. I could tell that she cared for me a lot and wanted this to work.

"Oh Aurora," I whispered against her lips. I pulled her into me and she tip toed to kiss me. My arms instantly wrapped around her waist, and hers wrapped around my neck. I didn't care that we were in the middle of the streets, all I wanted was her.

"Who are you?" A man asked us. I pulled away from Aurora and my eyes narrowed at him. He was one of Sid's goons, but we had to play it cool.

"We just moved in to that apartment," I pointed towards our house.

"What are your names?" His eyes flickered between both of us.

"I'm Janet," Aurora replied, "and he's Peter."

"When did you move here?" He questioned further.

"We're newlyweds," I responded, "My parents organized this place for us during our honeymoon. They thought it would be a great place for a family." I tried to breathe. This had to sound natural, not like a learnt script.

"I see," his eyes lingered over Aurora a little too long, "Welcome to the neighbourhood."

"Thank you," Aurora smiled at him sweetly. I rolled my eyes. She was being such a flirt. The man walked off and I glanced at Aurora. I desperately wanted her and I hoped she wanted me too.

"Can we go back home?" She asked as we started jogging once more.

"Why?" I asked.

"I want to fuck," she said simply and I laughed.

"So do I," I agreed, "but it would look weird if we only jogged halfway down the street and went back home. Especially after that guy bombarded us."

"Fine," she pouted.

Alex's POV

"Do you think anyone will save us?" I asked Leonardo.

"I've been here for years," he said softly, "I lost hope a long time ago."

"I think my mom is doing everything she can," I tried to give him some encouragement.

"I'm sure she is," he surprisingly agreed, "She's always been a very tenacious person."

"You're going to get out of here," I told him, "will leave this place."

"At some point," Sid said coming down the stairs. There was someone behind him.

"This is Gianna," he introduced her. Giovanni's wife? Did he give her away for me?

"Why did you come?" I asked her.

"It was the only choice," she responded quietly.

"Who told you to speak to her?" Sid looked at me.

"You're fucking sick," I spat at him.

"This isn't a hotel stay," he warned, "If you act like a bitch, you will be treated as such."

"So what's the plan now that you've got the girl?" Leonardo looked at him wearily.

"We're leaving," Sid said.

"What?" Gianna looked at him surprised. Well it looks like he never told her that plan.

"I'm carrying you somewhere to jog your memory," he explained, "My men will guard you. Jhonny will also be here."

"Gianna don't do this," I called out to her, "It's not worth it."

"If you speak out of turn one more time," he threatened, "My men will torture you. Be quiet."

"Listen," she pleaded with me. I closed my mouth. I wasn't scared of being tortured, but I know Gianna risked a lot for me. Her being here is proof of that.

"We leave in the morning," Sid told her, "Go gather some clothing. Say your goodbyes to your husband."
