"We know what happened," I said, "but we still don't know what happened to her."

"I'll call dad," Gio said and I nodded.

"Let's head back outside," I told them, "Hold hands tightly." I gripped Aurora's hand and she squeezed it gently. I sighed. The things I would risk for this woman.

"Dad sent traffic camera footage," Gio came up to us. It showed that Alex willingly got into a car with a gentleman and they drove off. That's weird. Even if she was sedated, she still would have struggled. She must have known the person.

"It's Sid," I told Gio.

"How is that possible?" He looked at me confused.

"That had to be someone she knew," I explained, "He didn't even bother to restrain her at any point. Even though she was heavily sedated, he was sure she wouldn't do him anything."

"We need to call the police,"Gio pulled out his phone.

"Why would Sid take her?" Gina asked confused, "He's our friend."

"I don't think he is Gina," Jamie denied, "He's been acting strange these past couple of days."

I sighed, relieved that Gio and I would have to blow our cover.

"Hey," Aurora touched my arm, "Thank you for helping."

"It's not a problem," I smiled.

"So how do you two know each other?" Gina came towards us.

I glanced at Aurora, "This is the person I told you about."

Gina smiled widely, "Whoa! I didn't see that coming. Good for you Grayson!" She laughed and I chuckled. Gina was so full of passion, it warmed my heart. Despite Alex being taken, she's trying to remain a rock for everyone.

"The last traffic camera is around this area here," Gio called us. He pulled up a map on his phone.

"I know where that is," Aurora said, "Let's go."

"Could I please have some water?" I asked him.

"Sure," he said. I felt a cup come to my lips and I drank the water.

"Why Sid?" I whispered sadly, "I thought we were friends."

"I guess it's time for a story," he said, "Your mother joined an assassination organization."

"What? That can't be -" I started.

"Don't cut me off," he said sternly, "Your mom joined an assassination organization responsible for killing Tom and Danielle. Our organization and hers are rivals. We needed to send a message to them that they need to stop being so sloppy and killing people recklessly."

"You're lying," I felt myself shaking.

"Oh this is very true Alex," he said, "Your mother has no idea what she's gotten herself into."

"Who is the other person here?" I asked.

"That's not important," he stated, "What's important is that the Romano's need to make a trade."

"What do you mean the Romano's?" I asked confused.

"Gina's parents are the owners of the next assasinatoon organization," he said sinisterly.

Grayson decided to ride with me and I was pretty surprised.

"Grayson?" I called.

"Hmm?" He looked out the window.

"I'm sorry for giving you a hard time," I said quietly.

He sighed, "You're not giving me a hard time Aurora. I'm giving myself a hard time trying not to love you."

I smiled, "Then don't."

"I told you it's not that simple Aurora," he looked at me, "There's a lot you don't know, and when you do find out, you'd hate me for keeping it from you."

"Then tell me," I said gently.

"I can't," he looked away.

"Then I don't care Grayson," I said defiantly, "I don't care what I can't know. Just be with me." He looked at me with sad eyes, then my phone made a noise.

Turn back now, or else your daughter will be dead.

"What the fuck?" Grayson looked at the message, "There's a picture of Alex." She was tied to a chair, her eyes blindfolded.

"Oh my God," I cried, "What are we going to do?"

"I think they're bluffing," he said, "There's no way they would harm her. They want something from us."

"I'm not sure if I can take that chance," i whispered.

"Trust me," he looked at me.

Gina's POV

The ride was silent as we followed Ms. Santiago's car. I didn't know what to say to Jamie and I'm sure she didn't know what to say to me. Gio drove us because he said it would be easier.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

"It's not your fault," I consoled her.

"I should have been more responsible," she scolded herself.

"Stop tormenting yourself Jamie," I said, "We were out to have fun. We didn't expect this."

"She's right," Gio agreed with me. Aurora's car pulled to the side and we parked right behind her. We got out and went towards their car.

"What's the matter?" Gio asked Grayson.

"We're close," Aurora said, "we need to continue on foot."

"What are we looking for?" Jamie asked, taking off her heels.

"An abandoned building," Aurora explained, "Or somewhere looking like it has a basement."

"That's a little to go on," Giovanni said, "We should split up. Grayson and Aurora can take this side of the street. Jamie, Gina and I can take the other side. Grayson will keep you safe."

The countdown was on to find Alex. Why did I have such a bad feeling though?

I had no idea what to do. What if they don't find me? How long will I be here? Are they even looking? I stopped myself. Of course Gina and Jamie would have noticed I'm gone by now. They're probably doing everything they can to get me out.

"Sid," I called out. I wasn't sure if he heard me.

"He's not here," the man in the room with me replied.

"I wish you'd tell me who you are," I said.

"It doesn't matter," he stated, "I don't know you, you don't know me. I can't see you and you probably can't see me."

"Do those things matter?" I countered, "When my friends come, they'll most likely save you as well."

"You're so hopeful," he muttered, "I've been in here for years. I lost track of how many. No one is coming for me."

I sighed. It's only natural that he would lose hope. He probably wouldn't recognize where we are if he saw it. How could I help them find me?

Aurora's POV

Grayson and I searched everywhere until we came to an abandoned warehouse.

"This has to be it," I whispered to him.

"Maybe," his eyes narrowed, "It seems too much of an obvious place."

"Where else are you thinking?" I looked at him exasperated. I wanted to find Alex quickly.

"Let's go meet with Gio," he suggested, "I think I know where she is." I nodded. We met up with Giovanni and the girls and they said that they hadn't seen anywhere that Alex would be.

"Tell me something," Grayson looked at Gina and Jamie, "Does Sid live around here?" Jamie glanced around. I'm sure it was difficult in to tell, but she still did it.

"Yes!" She exclaimed, "He actually doesn't live too far from here!" That explains why I knew this area.

She darted off and we tried to keep up with her.

"Its over here," she pointed. We all huddled and looked to see if there were any clues. The place looked empty and all the lights were off as though no one was home.

"Follow me," Giovanni whispered, "Stay extremely quiet."

Giovanni crept up to the door and we followed behind him. He picked the lock and we all crept inside. As soon as everyone was inside, he closed back the door behind us.

"The basement," he whispered to Jamie. He took her hand and they walked side by side. I guess he didn't want her to walk in first, just incase someone was lurking in the shadows. We walked down the stairs in complete darkness, and the boards creaked under our weight. Giovanni toggled the doorknob, but it was locked.

He picked it and we entered the room.

"Alex!" I cried out seeing her strapped to the chair. Grayson pulled me back as I was unaware of several other men in the room.

"Well," Sid clapped his hands, "I underestimated you."

"Mom!" Alex cried out.

"Don't move," Sid said threateningly, "Or we will shoot."

"What do you want?" I stared at him angrily.

"I want back my wife," Sid said angrily.

"Your wife?," Jamie looked at him, "How old are you? And aren't you gay?"

"I am much older than you three," he started, "She was taken from me. Brainwashed."

"Who is she?" Grayson asked.

"Gianna," Sid's eyes shot daggers at Giovanni.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Giovanni looked at him confused, "Gianna and I have been married for several years. She never mentioned being married before."

"Your father took her from me," he said angrily, "Before she met you, she was my wife. Both of our organizations were doing well, but Gianna had a knack for helping people. She met your father at a charity event, and he coerced her into joining his organization. Except, she didn't know that it was for assassins. He told her that he was just a business owner looking for a business partner. He took her and tampered with her memories. He is an imposter!"

"What the fuck are you going on about?" Grayson asked, "How is that possible?"

"Oh he has millions," Sid said disgusted, "He can make anything possible with the latest tech. All he has to do is wave around his money."

"What do you mean imposter?" Gina asked quietly.

"Maybe this might jog someone's memory," Sid stepped to the side and revealed a man strapped to chair. He was blindfolded and he looked as though he had been there for years.

No. I refused to believe this.
