I looked around and Alex was nowhere in sight.
"Maybe she just went to the bathroom," Jamie suggested.
"I would have seen her," I said.
"We should still check,"she pulled me towards the bathroom. We searched both male and female but we still couldn't find her.
"Maybe we're overreacting," she said.
"It's not overreacting," I scoffed, "We're at a party. Alex was looking fucking hot. We don't know anyone here but each other. Not finding her is a big deal."
She sighed, "You're right."
"Don't let go of my hand," I gripped her hand tightly. She nodded and squeezed my hand for comfort. We searched the entire party and we still couldn't find Alex.
"Hey," Gio pulled my arm as I was surfing through the crowd.
"Gio?" I looked at him, "What are you doing here?"
"Dad made us chaperone to make sure everything was okay," he said quickly, "What's the matter?"
"I can't find Alex," I said, worried.
"What do you mean you can't find her?" Gio asked.
"I went to the bathroom and left her with Jamie," I explained, "I came back and Alex was gone."
"This is not good," Grayson said, "We need to go outside now." Gio grabbed my hand and lead us outside.
"Jamie," I rubbed my thumb along her knuckles, "Are you okay?"
"I lost Alex," she whispered frantically, "What am I going to do? How are we going to find her?"
"Everything will be alright Jamie," I hugged her.
"I can't believe I lost her," she buried her face in her hands, "I lost too much already." I comforted her and held her. I didn't know what else I could say to make her feel better.
"Did any of you see a man in a suit?" Grayson asked.
"No," I said, "Why?"
"I just found it strange," Gio started thinking, "Everyone seemed to be dressed up in costumes. It was strange to see someone in a suit. The way he moved, he was here with a purpose."
"You think he took Alex?" Jamie asked.
"I do," Gio nodded.
I laid in bed wide awake. For some reason, there was something keeping me awake. Why was Grayson denying me? What was so bad about the organization? Would they kill him? Something didn't feel right about his reasonings. It felt as though there was more to the story. What was he trying to do? I pondered on these thoughts, trying to figure out the truth. My phone receive a text and I almost dropped it.

If you want your daughter, you will do as I say.
What the fuck? Someone has Alex? I called Grayson.
"Hey," he said. There seemed to be a lot of noise in the background.
"Someone has taken Alex," I cried.
"How do you know that?" He asked.
"I just received a text," I mused, "Why did you ask me how I knew that? You didn't seemed surprised."
"I went to chaperone the party that she went to," he sighed, "She was taken at the party."
"How did she get taken with so many people around?" I asked angrily.
"I don't know," Grayson responded harshly, "We're trying to figure that out right now."
"I'm coming," I got off the bed.
"It's dangerous," he disagreed, "Stay home."
"She's my daughter," I said defiantly, "I'm not going to sit down."
He sighed, "Fine." He hung up the phone and I put on some clothes.
Where was I? I felt heavily sedated. The last thing I remembered was dancing with Jamie. I felt something stick me in the arm and I passed out. I felt a thick band over my eyes. I must be blindfolded. My hands were tied and I was sitting on a chair. I didn't know if I should even try to call out. I felt so alone and scared. Why were all these terrible things happening all of a sudden? I tried my best to listen to see if anything could give me a clue about where I am. Nothing, I sighed. It's like I was in a basement or something. The silence was deafening.
I arrived at the party, and saw Grayson huddled outside with some people.
"Hey," I walked up to them. Gina and Jamie were there as well.
"Ms. Santiago," Jamie hugged me, "I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault," I rubbed her head.
"So where do we start looking?" Gina asked.
"Did you notice anything strange at all?" Grayson asked, "Any strange behaviour? Or were any of you acting strange?"
"We were together most of the time," Jamie responded, "Except when I went for drinks. I went to get drinks for all of us, but by the time I got back to Alex and Gina, the drinks were gone."
"Did you drink them?" The man next to Grayson asked. Who was he?
"I don't remember," Jamie replied confused.

"A memory hole," Grayson said quietly, "You were drugged at some point. The question is, why didn't he drug Gina?"
"He probably didn't get an opportunity," Gina said.
"How long was Gina in the bathroom, Jamie?" The man asked her, "Sorry. I am Giovanni. Gina's brother." He turned to me and smiled.
"Aurora," I nodded.
"It didn't seem long," Jamie recalled, "Like five minutes maybe?"
"Jamie," Gina whispered, "I was gone for almost twenty minutes. Your concept of time is completely warped. What do you remember after I left?"
"I just remember dancing," Jamie sighed, "I remember dancing with Alex."
"Try harder," Gina pressed, "You just be suppressing the memories." Jamie concentrated as hard as she could to remember anything else.
"I felt," she started, "high. All I could feel was the music. Nothing else. It's like I was in my own little bubble and nothing else mattered."
"We need to check the bartender," I cleared my throat.
"Definitely," Giovanni said.
I was extremely thirsty. How long had I been here? I still felt heavily sedated.
"Water," I whispered. I could barely get the word out, "Water."
"No one will bring water for you," a man responded, "It comes when they feel like bringing it."
"Who are you?" I said hoarsely.
"It doesn't matter," he said sadly, "We're never leaving here."
I shut my mouth and sighed I will leave here. Even if it kills me.
"I see that you're awake," another voice said. It sounded strangely familiar.
"Sid?" I coughed.
"In the flesh and blood," he responded.
"Why are you doing this?" I whispered.
"That's a story for another day," he laughed.
"My friends will find me," I argued, "I won't be here long."
"Oh sweetheart," he touched my face, "They definitely won't."
"You girls blend in," I said to them, "Gio and I will handle this."
"What's the plan?" Gio asked as we headed to the bar.
"Just to question him or her," I said casually. The bartender was a woman. Great. Maybe we could charm our way through this.
"Hi," I smiled at her.
"What do you want?" She asked, paying little attention to us.
"We just have some questions," Giovanni jumped in, "Did you serve our friends over there some drinks?" He pointed at the girls.
"I have other things to do," she moved away." I sighed and we retreated to the girls.
"No luck?" Aurora asked and I shook my head.
"Come on girls," Aurora told them, "Follow my lead." They went over to the bar and Aurora climbed on to of the counter and pressed the bartender up against the wall. Gina and Jamie stood on either side of the bartender and pressed their chests against her.
Well fuck.
POV
"Hi there," I twirled the bartender's hair between my fingers, "We have some questions."
"What?" She breathed, clearly turned on.
"Do you remember serving me any drinks?" Jamie batted her eyelashes at her.
"No I -"
"Don't lie," I planted a kiss on her neck, "We won't be nice if you don't tell us what we want to know."
Her eyes flickered to me, then the other girls.
"I gave you the drinks," she pointed to Jamie, "but you finished them before you returned to your friends. You threw the glasses on the floor and continued walking as though you didn't do anything."
"Did anyone put anything in the drinks?" I asked her. She bit her lip, clearly trying not to say anything. Gina passed her hands over her nipple and pinched them hard. The bartender cried out. She honestly didn't know if to enjoy it or be scared.
"I said we wouldn't be nice if you don't co-operate," I stared at her.
She whimpered, "A man in a suit paid me not to say anything. He wanted one of the drinks laced. When she came up to the bar, he was right next to her. He injected her with something."
"You are disgusting," Jamie looked at her, "This is how you treat your fellow women?"
"I'm sorry," she said apologetically, "I needed money and he paid a lot of it."
"What did the man in the suit look like?" Gina asked.
"He had on a mask," she said.
"Isn't there anything you noticed?" Jamie pressed her.
"No, I swear," she looked at us. She wasn't lying.
"We're done here," I climbed back over the counter and walked towards Grayson and Giovanni.
"That's how it's done boys," I smiled at them.
