《Me and You: The Beginning》6.

My jaw dropped to the floor after Gina walked off on me. What does she mean by that? Trying to gather my thoughts when she's around is impossible because I only think of her.
Am I obsessed with her? Maybe I'm crazy. She seems to be interested in me though.
I stood up, suddenly remembering I have to find Jamie. I looked everywhere and I found her in the bathroom. She just stood there staring at the mirror.
"Jamie?" I called out to her. Her eyes shifted to mine and then she stood upright, facing me completely.
"Yes, Alex?" She stared into my eyes.
"Are you okay?" I started coming closer to her. What was up with her lately? She's been acting strange since we got to school.
"Do I look okay?" She rolled her eyes.
"No, you don't ass," I rolled my eyes as well, "that's why I'm asking."
She smiled and then walked towards me, and kissed me.

Fucking
Bestfriend
Just
Kissed
Me.
What the fuck? What is with all these women coming on to me?
"Do you get it now?" She stepped back. She looked at me for a reaction but all I could do was just stand there.
"What does this mean?" I stuttered.
"It means I'm in love with you Alex," she said quietly, "I've been in love with you for some time now. I just didn't know how to come out and say it. Seeing you with Gina made me realize that if I don't come out and say it, I might miss the opportunity for us to have something."
"Jamie," I whispered, "I don't know what to say. You know I don't feel that way about girls."
"Do I know that? Cause you've practically drooling over Gina all day," she eyed me. Her words stung a bit and I have a feeling they were meant to.

"That's not true," I denied.
"Look Alex," she raised a hand, "save it. That girl may have made you realize that you actually feel something for girls but I've been your bestfriend forever. You can try me, or pick some bitch you don't know. At least if you decide you don't like girls and this isn't for you, we can remain friends because at least you tried. I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything in the world but I also love you more than a friend. This is my stance. Think about it."
I was shocked. I had no words at all for Jamie. She took a breath then walked out of the bathroom. My head was spinning.
Two girls in one fucking day? Some guys can't even get a girl and here I am forced to choose between my bestfriend and someone else. What the actual fuck.
I left the bathroom only to realize lunch was practically over. I headed to my next class only to see Gina and Jamie sitting at two separate desks. I sighed and made my way to Jamie to sit next to her. Jamie didn't speak to ms for the entire class and I hoped that she wasn't upset.
What was I supposed to do? Two girls claim they have feelings for me and I'm just supposed to choose? I don't even know what it's like to be with a girl. Do I experiment with my bestfriend? Or do I pick the new girl and potentially lose my bestfriend for good. I know that I feel something that's undeniable for Gina but is it just lust? I glanced at her and my heart began to beat faster. All that just for a glance? Sigh. I also owe it to myself to try with my bestfriend. I'm so confused!

The day went by quickly and soon it was time to head home. I looked in the parking lot for Jamie's car but it was nowhere to be found. I gave her a call because we were supposed to be going home together.
"Hey, Jamie," I said when she answered, "where are you?"
"Oh sorry!" She exclaimed, "I forgot to tell you that I have to meet my mom at work today. I'm so sorry."
"It's fine," I said. Her apology seemed genuine, "I'll call my mom."
She said okay and hung up the phone. Is it going to be like this with Jamie from now on? Tense? I looked at the time and there was no way my mom was picking me up from school. Just then, I felt someone pulling me towards a car. I looked up and saw that it was Gina.
"Do you need a ride?" She looked at me, letting go my hand.
"Umm," I nodded, "but it's fine. I can walk."
"Girl," she rolled her eyes, "get in. Let's go for a ride."
