Aaron pov

"Ron you got yourself a deal." I say with confidence.

"Very well. Say goodbye to Penelope while you have the chance." Ron laughed and I looked at the girl in front of me.

"Penelope. I need you to let me mark you. Then I can mind link you!" I whisper.

"Oh.. Okay." Penelope looked unsure.

"Ron can you give us a minute?" I ask while hiding a smile.

"Yes of course. 2 minutes." Ron says seriously and leaves.

I sigh and look At Penelope.

"I want you to know that I'll miss you beautiful. Don't let them find out.. The pack. Don't tell them where I am. Say I'm dead. Ron killed me." I explain.

"Why? I don't know your name?" Penelope whispered.

"Aaron. Now I'm sorry princess." I punch Penelope's pressure point and she falls unconscious into my arms.

I quickly mark her by putting my canines into her neck. I knocked her out so she wouldn't scream when I marked her.

"Ron come back!" I call out after putting her hair in the way.

"Why is the knocked out?" Ron asked flabbergasted.

"She annoyed me but I told her to tell my pack I'm dead." I smirk and I'm not lying.

"Good. Trust me Aaron, you will not regret this."

Scarlett pov

When we got to the castle I see the pack worried.

"What's wrong?" I scream.

"Aaron is dead! He's been exiled by the rogue king!" A man yelled.

"What?" Andy and James yelled at the same time.

"I was there. He killed Aaron in front of my eyes." A girl spoke up.

She isn't from our pack. She's beautiful but is all ragged up.

"I'm Penelope. Aaron's mate." She spoke.

"Mate?" I gasp.

"He died in front of my eyes! Gone! Dead!" Penelope cried.

After a few hours we left. We all retreated and went home. I sigh. Aaron is gone now. We couldn't find the witches in charge. This is bad. We lost our beta before the war has begun.

(4 years later..)

Sorry for the time lapse

"Stay away from me you damn witch."I growl.

"I can easily cast my spell on you." The witch cackled.

"Your the last one. We have thousands." I smirk.

"Scarlett.. Die!" Anna the witch screamed.

A werewolf tackled Anna down and stabbed her claw into the throat. After stabbing Anna a few more times and pulling her head off the body, she shifted human.

"Thank you Grace." I smile at my friend.

Grace Eliza. My best friend at the moment. I found her 2 years ago against the battle of the vampires. We destroyed every last vampire and now we just finished off all of the witches. The mermaids actually left us. They gave us the training and power, but in the end, they chickened out and left.

"Great job Luna." Grace smiled.

Me and James are perfect together. I love him and he actually got over that spell. Nothing affects him anymore. He is doing great.

I giggle at Grace and we walk out together.

"James!" I call out to him.

"Scarlett! Grace!" James grinned.

Andy ran over and gave grace a hug! They're mates and are super cute together.

James puts his arms around my waist and kisses me like there is no tomorrow.

I return the kiss and wrap my arms around his neck.

I smile against the kiss and break away.

"How did it go? Injuries? Deaths?" I ask.

"15 injured, 2 dead." James replied.

"Not bad.. But not perfect. We need more Training!" I growl.

Everyone laughed at me and I glare. We cannot have a single injury let alone a death!

I see Penelope standing alone. Poor her. Her mate is dead.

Aaron.. I still can't get over him. He was my brother figure. I couldn't smile without him for months. They executed him. Ron! That idiot. That stupid ugly, old, fat kidnapper!

"Beautiful? What are you thinking about?" James asked me.

"Aaron." I reply.

He frowns and takes a few deep breaths. He was James's best friend too.

"I loved that guy. I wish he was still here with me." James whispered.

"Maybe I'm still around. Your too blind to see it 'Alpha'." I hear a familiar voice.

Aaron stood there smiling. Leaning against a tree but beside him stood Ron.

"Aaron!" We all scream.

"Thanks Penelope. I'm grateful you didn't tell them." Ron smirks.

Penelope froze and screamed.

"Aaron! Come back!" She cried.

"Crying doesn't help. Penelope.. I hate you." Aaron growled.

No! He can't hate his mate. What is wrong with him? They took him that day!

"Aaron don't you get it?" I ask.

"We all need you man." James continued.

"Your the guy we needed for years." Andy trailed off.

"But you weren't there dude. Now you are. Come back." Grace popped in.

"So be a good mate. A good friend or family member. Come home to us." I finish.

"This isn't before Scarlett. You aren't my friend. James is no longer my alpha. How could you guys!" Aaron growled.

"Aaron.." Penelope whispered.

Ron laughed and Aaron stood there blankly.

'Scarlett.' I hear a voice in my head.

'Scarlett help me.'

'Scarlett save me.'

'Your the only one that can help.'

Words rung throughout my head and I stared at Aaron.

His blank state remained.

Aaron needs my help. I'm the only that can help him. He needs me. More than ever.

"Scarlett look here." An angelic voice rung out.

I looked up and saw my ex best friend. Celine.

"Celine!" I exclaim.

"Scarlett. You have to help Aaron. You don't know but I died from Ron, 1 year ago. Just help Aaron, it's hard being in his position. He'll tell you the story, just first kill Ron." Celine explained with power and sorrow in her voice.

"Your dead. I'm sorry I left you. Gosh I'm so dumb. Goodbye Celine." I say on the verge of tears.

Celine shined me a smile and I began to cry softly.

But I stopped right away when I noticed that I was in front of Aaron again.

"Ron.. Your so going to die. Even if it costs my own life." I scream and shift into my wolf.

I charge at Ron and he shifts too. Aaron stood smirking at Ron and motioning him to attack me.

James growled and shifted too. Andy shifted and attacked Aaron.

Penelope stood back with Grace but they were both shocked.

I didn't worry about them. I clawed at Ron and he dodged easily. I see James about to arrive but a random force field showed up. It blocked everyone but me, Aaron, Ron, grace and Penelope out. Andy couldn't make it with James.

I growl and James screamed. He was human again with Andy but was desperate to help me.

"Die!" Penelope screamed.

"Kill him!" Grace yelled.

Aaron stood there watching Penelope. He obviously loves her a lot.

I get knocked back and my back hit the force field. On the other side was James and Andy looking heartbroken and sorrowful.

"James." I croak out.

My wolf was too weak so it shifted back automatically.

"Scarlett! Don't die! Watch out!" James screamed.

The next few moments were a flash.

I was on the ground in pain when I was about to be stabbed. James screamed in fear but Ron was smashed away.

Grace was in her wolf form and stuck her claw into Ron's heart and pulled it out. She threw it aside and Ron began to bleed out.

"Grace.. Thank you so much." I whisper.

Grace smiled and squealed when she noticed Ron get up. He ran to where Penelope stood alone.

"This girl will die. Aaron attack those 2 girls." Ron yelled.

Penelope stiffened and motioned for her to kill us. I look at Penelope in disgust and Grace in fear.

Aaron slowly walked up to us but stopped.

"No.. I will not kill them. Die Ron." Aaron growled.

Ron smirked and sighed.

"You got one last chance. Kill them." Ron laughed.

He's about to die. I feel it. I know it. Aaron shook his head and in a second, Penelope screamed.

"You are the worst mate ever. Go and die! I hate you." Penelope cried and her head got taken off. It was thrown to the ground and he threw Penelope's head off the cliff. The body laid there and he kicked the body off too.

Aaron yelled in pain but endured it. Ron fell to the ground dead.

The force field vanished and I felt James behind me.

"James." I smile weakly.

"Scarlett are you okay?" James asked softly.

"Yeah.. I'm tired though. But I'll try to stay awake." I say with a rough throat.

"James! Will she be okay?" Grace asks concerned.

"Yeah. Thank you grace. You saved her life." James smiled gratefully.

"I'm glad your her mate. She's my best friend and your the perfect mate for Scarlett." Grace smiled.

Everyone seemed happy except for Aaron. He was gone. His face showed no emotion. He was broken.

"Penelope." He whispered.

"I'm so sorry." Andy said hugging him.

Aaron just stayed in his arms.

"It's over. We won." I smile.

"We did princess. We sure did."
