Scarlett pov
Nick, Cato and James stood ahead of me. Little frowns on their faces.
"James what happened to your mate... Cassy?" I ask confused.
They were in love!
"She left me... She used me for alpha power." He said heartbroken.
"I'm sorry." I say sadly.
Nicholas completely was smashed without me, apparently.
And Cato just stood there with a little bit of hope.
"I have come today to claim something. I will pick who I truly would love you spend the rest of my life with. I want you to stand at 3 different houses. I'll see one of you in 1 hour. If I'm not there that means I didn't come for you." I say blankly.
They all get up and scurry away. I look into the distance and I feel a wet tear roll down my cheek.
"Scarlett?" I hear a familiar voice ask.
"Caleb? Stormy? Oh my gosh my daughter!" I exclaim.
How could I forget! The baby Maya I left at there care 16 years ago because of the war!
"Maya.. I'm sorry." I apologize weakly.
"It's okay but if you don't mind.. I know your my mom but... Caleb and Story took care of me and.. I'm sorry but-" I cut maya off.
"Caleb, stormy, could you keep Maya with you. Can you be her guardian?" I ask.
A huge smile breaks onto all of their faces and they have a family hug.
I look at the time and notice I have 30 minutes left.
But who..
Who was I meant to be with?
And why?
Couldn't I just have had one mate?
James... If only he accepted me. Everything would be different.
If life was sucky.. I could be happy.
I love you.. You know who I'm talking about.. No?
I'm so so so so so so so sorry it's this short but I have a good reason. I want to make 3 alternate endings for this book. The truth is, I do have a real one I will post last.
Cato, James and Nicholas will all have one. But the true story is from the last ending I post.

8 394Technically Sentient
Technically Sentient is the uncomfortable answer to the Fermi Paradox: bureaucratic inertia. There's also a shark cop in there too. And a human meat tank and a bunch of greys down on their luck and a viral bioengineered killing machine and a T-posing AI and a cat. But they're not important, in the grand scheme of things.
8 182Divik: Companion Two in the Orak'Thune Series
A city built on honour. A downfall built on lies. Divik is a cesspool. Left too long to its own devices, it is a city ruled by degenerate barons, unique in that on the surface, they’re part of the shiny ruling class. Enter the terrorists. Having decided on vulnerable Divik for their plans long ago, it is an easy corridor of which to get a foothold on the otherwise impenetrable, ultra-patriotic Orak’thune nation; and they have a message for its Fire Queen. The countdown to their demise has been set, the players on the board unwittingly outmatched. The innocent residents will be victims in the crossfire if the last good knight, Colonel Rabb, can’t clear them out of the way in time. Living Fire: Book Four in the Orak'Thune Series tells the tale of how King River and Hanna get embroiled in the coup, and how Queen Nyssa and Jara get them back from the clutches of a sociopathic terrorist and out of an imploding city. But what really happened inside Divik that it fell so quickly? How did Malta and his underling Krug, even get this close at all?
