Gunner Ardent discovers that his Luna is none other than Mindy Rivers. Granddaughter to one of the most ruthless fighters the Cobalt Nation has ever seen. Mindy, however, is a whole different story. She is shy, thin, and very breakable. He's been taught all his life that appearances do not matter, that his Luna will flourish once she becomes of age. But it is the stale scent that she carries that kills all hope withing Gunner. He could care less that she is terribly shy or too skinny, but he cannot overlook this specific problem. Mindy Rivers cannot be crowned Luna for she will be unable to provide the Nation with security and promise that the bloodline will continue.
