super awesome
Once all of the emotions had simmered down, it was then the time for action. The newly bonded group huddled back inside to discuss their options. Monica trailed next to Morrigan; her eyes were on her belt. She was hypnotised yet again by the wonders the Queen possessed.
Inside the Rambeau household, Maria led everyone back to the dining table and placed Carol's box nicely on the floor. The two alien women sat next to each other at the table while everyone else sprawled out. They were devising some sort of plan to find the coordinates for Mar—Vell's laboratory.
It didn't take long before Carol and Maria connected on some telepathic wave length and realised the laboratory was in orbit and there were no coordinates. Morrigan beamed proudly as Talos nagged on at his Skrull friend that they couldn't have realised that too. It was a rather amusing moment.
The transport to the orbiting station would be the jet they stole from that secret governmental structure in the middle of the desert. Combining Skrull and Valyriaten technology, the jet could be modified to manage in the high atmospheric pressure and space environment.
Once the plan was settled, everyone ventured outside. Carol had landed the jet a while away, and most tools that could prove useful were under Maria's shelter. Danvers quickly moved the jet closed to the house. Morrigan and the Skrulls propelled themselves into getting the jet ready for space as the others hung about and prepared for the journey.
Morrigan linked her transmitter through to the jet's communications and controls to make them efficient and easier to handle in space. The Skrulls quickly modified the exterior of the jet to be stronger as they would ascend upwards. Morrigan slightly meddled with the blasters, giving the weapon system a little different. She silently hoped they'd have to use the blasters, just to show off what'd she did whilst the Skrulls bickered over which code to put into the acceleration of the jet.
Inside the house, Fury was slicing up a nice sandwich because he was peckish. Carol and the Rambeau's were sitting in the lounge. Danvers was trying to persuade Maria to come along for the mission because she'd be a valuable asset— and that's true!

The main reason why Maria reluctantly agreed to go in outer space was that her daughter used the parental example card. When Maria gave in, she said she had to call her neighbour to look after Monica while they were gone on a little girls trip (with Fury and Skrulls, to space).
Monica waited for her mother to leave the room so she could pester Carol about Morrigan. "Okay, I know you are some super-soldier with fire fists but, what about Morrigan? Mom and I got to like the Skrulls history, even Nick's. What about her? Are you guys, like friends and stuff?" Carol sat there, looking across at this young girl, completely loving the moment. "Oh my — did I say her name wrong? Would she like stab me with her belt?"
Danvers sat up, scoffing at the sudden thought Monica had. "Oh no! She would never stab you with her belt, maybe her sword." She gave the young girl a cheeky look to be playful, but Monica couldn't really decipher if she was serious or not. "I'm kidding — but um, she is super awesome, though."
"I knew it," Monica interjected, making Carol grin. "How many powers does she have? How many powers do you have?"
"Me? I have a few, but compared to her, gosh, she takes the icing and the cake." She enjoyed joking about the fact Morrigan had these secret strengths that no Kree has ever seen before. Sure, they've heard the tales but nothing with the naked eye.
"Do you have a favourite one?" Monica asked, implying one of Carol's favourite powers.
She bit her lip, thinking about this answer. "Apart from the sword thing, I really like when she looks at anyone, I mean anyone any thing and inserts this fear in them. It's like controlling with fear, no telepathy, hypnosis or mind games. Just simple fear. I think that's pretty cool." That's one of three powers Morrigan has let Carol be witness to. The rest, no one knows.
Monica chuckled softly. "I meant yours, but that sounds spooky and exciting." The deep colour of red fills Carol's cheeks. She didn't know Monica asked about her, not Morrigan. To make it up, Carol stuck her fists up and heated them. "I get that one; it's my favourite of yours too." The girl observed as Carol's eyes deviated from the conversation. They lingered as if they were replaying the sight of Morrigan's powers. Wanting to know more, Monica thought of something else. "So, what else do you know about her? Is this like the first time you've done a mission with her?"

"You really want to know about her, don't you?" Slightly embarrassed, Monica didn't look her in the eyes. "Don't worry, me too. Umm, what I do know is that she is like the ruler of this planet — Valyriate; gorgeous place —"
"She's a Queen?" Monica literally had a heart attack. So she knew an immortal extraterrestrial Queen from a gorgeous planet called Valyriate. "No, King, I'm guessing? Not like she'd need one."
"Hmm, hmm. She's even the General of her military." Carol was severely impressed to know Morrigan commanded her own military and strategised all operations on the planet.
"Do they speak English or the Kree language?" It was a unique question to ask.
"Oh, no. They speak this ancient language called Valyrian. I had a squad mate go to Valyriate once, and when he came back, he said they all spoke so elegantly and vibrantly. I've never heard proper Valyrian, and I'm too scared to ask her." She didn't want Morrigan to curse her.
Monica wanted to get out a notebook and start jotting things down. "Does she have any family?"
Carol saw the sparkle in her eye. "Pretty sure she has a daughter — Omisha. And yes, that'd make her a Princess, but they call her an Heiress back there. I think it's because she's the Heir to the Throne." Monica rejoiced. She loved knowing she could become friends with an alien princess.
"You know all this stuff. You guys must be really close then." Carol's train of thought faltered a bit. She did know all this stuff and more. She'd only met the Queen a few times regarding Starforce and those said times was mainly Yon—Rogg kissing ass. Although, being close was false. "I think you guys are really powerful together. When those bad guys come, they'll shit —."
Monica almost bit her tongue when she finally noticed the figure standing in the doorway of the lounge. "Language." She was frozen. All her mind could think about was how long Morrigan standing there? Had she heard all the embarrassing questions she was blabbering about? "Your mom asked me to tell you to pack some clothes." Monica curtly nodded and got up to walk out. As she walked past the Queen, she looked up realised that Morrigan had beautiful eyes. "I also have these cool things called zaldrīzoti." She purposely said it in Valyrian so Monica could fester about what she meant.
When Monica left to go pack, Morrigan's eyes drifted back to Carol. Leaning against the doorframe, her eyes traced the waves of her hair and how the curls clung to her face. "She was just asking me about you."
"I know. I heard." Carol's heart dropped, and her breathing hitched. How much did she hear? "You made me sound less evil than what I actually am, and I appreciate that a lot."
"Ah — I just told her what I thought." She was trying to be vague with her answers so Morrigan could somehow drop the subject. It didn't work.
"I know." The sound of a car pulling up caught both of their attentions. Morrigan was going to leave, but something held her back. "Just so you know, my favourite strength of yours is your heart — I think it's super awesome ." Carol smiled, knowing now Morrigan was standing there for a while. "But if I had to pick another, it'd be those hands." Carol's eyes fluttered to her hands that she saw different for a moment. Something spawned in that moment, which was ruined quickly by the creator herself. "Go get dressed. We leave soon."
