《Captain Marvel》Chapter 12: Smaller Relations

In the middle of space, there was a small space ship which was the first line of defense for the space station that Kl'rt was in. It was peaceful, no movement on the premises. They were located near a moon which made it a hard place to hide.
"Any news from Kl'rt?" The Skrull general asked his soldier.
"None, sir. The Kree has been relatively quiet the past few days."
"They must be stocking up. If any news on the Kree arrives, alert Kl'rt first, not me." The general said before taking a seat. "That will be all."
The whole deck continued to watch outer space, waiting for anything to come out. An attack, news, or a defense. There was almost no activity. No meteors. No ships. Just plain space.
The general was about to drift off into sleep until a small beeping sound was heard on the tracker. A soldier walked to it to check it out and there was only one.
"There's a small ship to the east side, sir."
"Don't mind it." The general sighed and tried to drift off to sleep again.
After a few moments, the ship shook heavily and everyone fell to the floor. And then another one happened. The general ordered them to activate the shields so they would stop shaking. Once they pressed it, they re-assessed the situation.
On the market, there were dozens of dots located on their west side. They started to fly all around the ship, trying to destroy the ships shield.
Outside of the ship, Carol Danvers was flying around to find a good spot to strike. The whole ship was being flown around by the Kree.
"I ran out of places to hit. Everyone has a spot they're focusing on." Carol said on the comms.

"But you don't have a entrance." Korath said as he aligned his ship with the landing pad of the space station. "Once we destroy the shields, I'll open the landing bay and you go in."
"Sounds like a plan." Carol said, flying towards Korath.
The Kree attack ships found a small opening at the bottom of the space station. They shot their rockets and it lowered the station's shield. Korath shot multiple rockets to the sides of the landing bay door. It opened a little but just enough for Carol to get in.
"I'm in." Carol told the whole Kree force. "I'll move into the deck and open the landing bay."
Carol met soldiers as she entered. They were fixing their ships but they noticed she was there. They raised their weapons up to her and started firing.
She gathered the energy that was being fired at her and she released all of it in a energy explosion. Everyone was sent back and knocked unconscious near the walls. She continued on her quest to the main deck.
"How's the landing bay?" Mar-Vell asked. He was focusing on the main deck but apparently it was running on another source of shield. "It seemed like some energy bursted out."
"Just met some friendly people. They greeted me real nice." Carol joked, knocking out two guards with ease in a hallway. "I'm passing by the armoury."
Two guards appeared out of nowhere with missile launchers on their hand. They were quick and they were able to knock Carol back a few inches. She dropped to the floor and was hurt. One of them shot another rocket which missed Carol's head by a few centimetres. She grabbed the missile in the middle of the air and threw it at them. It created a hole in the wall which started sucking in any metal object.

"Guys! A little bit of help in the east side? There's a blown wall." Carol called out to the comms.
"I'm on the way." Nenora answered, arriving at the wall in less than thirty seconds. She covered the wall with ice that was installed in the ships.
"Thanks for the assist." Carol sighed heavily as she made her way up and walking through the hallways again.
Besides from the multiple guards she met on the way to the deck, it was smooth sailing for her. There were four guards positioned at the door of the deck which she blasted with energy.
"Who is the general of this ship?" Carol asked, entering the main deck.
There was no one on the deck. It was empty and they left behind their guns. Carol took this as surrender so she walked over to the shield to deactivate it.
"I haven't used a space station before so can anyone provide me with some pointers?" Carol asked.
"Just press the one that looks like it might deactivate the shield." Korath said.
"Is it the one with a laser pointing up to a semi-circle?"
"No, that's for a large missile. The one that has the semi-circle broken into lines."
"That's a lot of help." Carol sarcastically said, looking for the button on her own. She saw a button which looked similar to a shield closing. Just before she pressed it, a large Skrull knocked her back to the other side of the room.
She looked up to see a Skrull that was part-ice. His left hand had a ice shield and the other had a spear with ice. His legs were also made out of ice.
"Interesting." Carol muttered. "Didn't read you in the handbook."
When Carol charged at the Skrull, every punch she landed was useless. He was regenerating his limbs back with ice quickly. She couldn't think of a good strategy. She was just getting beat down by the Skrull. Suddenly she got an idea.
She broke one of the limbs into pieces and grabbed the sharpest piece of ice. She stabbed it to the side of the Skrull and blasted him with energy.
She finally closed the shield and everyone landed in the landing bay. Now that the Kree took down the Skrull's first defense, they were going for the big one.
"Super-Skrull..." Carol muttered to herself while she sat down to rest, "you're next."

A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
