《Captain Marvel》Chapter 2: Awaken

Carol woke up to the bright light that was shining in her face. It almost blindsided her but she fought herself to sit up straight. There was medicine, tools and cabinets around her. She was inside a hospital. Before she could stand up, a nurse entered the room.
"Please, sit down, Ms. Danvers." The nurse walked over to her, "Rest, please."
"Where... what happened?" Carol asked, standing up and looking around in a hospital gown.
"You have been in a coma for two weeks. The police fished you out of the sea after an incident."
"But-" Carol wanted to know more but someone opened the door. It was a man and he was dressed in a nice suit.
"Ma'am. I'll take it from here." The man smiled and the nurse excused herself from the room. The man walked over to Carol and lowered his glasses, "My name is Agent Phil Coulson. I am a worker in the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division. We're still working on the name."
Carol looked confused for a second as she stared at him. If she was in a incident, she would have been injured.
"I want to know what really happened."
"That's complicated, Ms. Danvers. There's no use in lying to you but you may be very confused and scared if you would know how you ended up here."
"Just..." Carol sighed, "tell me everything."
"You collided with a ship from space. It was crashing to Earth with the speed of light and a crash like that would have killed any living being. After that, your friend called the police and we fished you out of the sea," Coulson sighed, "But you didn't break any bone. Not a single scratch, Ms. Danvers."

"Are you sure? How long have I been here?" Carol asked but didn't get any response. "How long?!"
"Six hours, Ms. Danvers. We were lying about the two weeks. We thought it might calm you down." Coulson bit his lip, "I think you may want to see this."
Carol stood up and she felt no pain in her body. She followed Coulson through the hospital where it was mostly empty. It would be probably because she was the only one who was involved in the incident. But then she entered private territory. It was a quarantine zone and there were Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division soldiers roaming around the halls. They ended up in a room with a glass window overlooking a recovery room.
"What am I looking at?" Carol asked and looked inside the window. There was a man lying down on a bed, sleeping, "Who is he?"
"That, Ms. Danvers, is the only other person who is involved in the incident." Coulson explained, "He too, didn't get injured. Minor scratches but nothing too serious."
"Is this a lucky day for me?"
"No, it is actually not. We speculated that this man is not a human. But he is actually from old stories. They called his species Kree. They were alien creatures who had the appearance of a human. They are more invulnerable and can take up more pain."
"So I'm a Kree?"
"With the situation you are in now, you are half-Kree. It's because his wiring was open and it collided with the surface of your ship. You both share the same powers now." Coulson turned around to Carol, "But you're powers are more advanced than his."
"Why do you think that is?" Carol asked but the door in their room opened.

"Because your system and his powers combined, creates a whole other being." The man said who was in a dark suit, "I'm the Director of the Strategic Homela-"
"I get it." Carol smirked a little but focused again, "Name?"
"I'm afraid that's classified." The man maintained a straight face, "You may think that this is only a once-in-a-lifetime event but no it isn't. This will stay for the rest of your life."
"Depending on your name, I thought you would have that covered." Carol joked.
"Is this funny?" The Director asked, "Because when I look at that man," He pointed at the man who was lying in the recovery room, "I don't see sorrow. I see war. From what I can tell, he just started a war between the Kree and Earth."
"But he randomly appeared on Earth. How is that a declaration of war?" Carol argued.
"Because he's already at war with another race and bringing him here means that his kind, the Kree kind, will be searching for him. We need him, Danvers, so we could understand him."
"How do we even know I have powers?" Carol asked while laughing.
"Punch the table." Coulson suggested, looking at her with a smile. She gladly punched it and it created a big dent that was facing downwards, "Looks like we found out."
Carol looked at the Director and he was nodding.
"Have you ever heard the tale of Captain America?"
"Yeah? Greatest soldier and America's first hero."
"Good. Because you Ms. Danvers, are becoming Earth's first defender." The Director turned around, "I want none of them to leave this quarantine area. And call Danvers's family!"
Hours had past after the remaining refugees of the Skrull attack happened. Even though hundreds of civilians returned to their planet, they still couldn't locate Mar-Vell. Some say that he died during the attack to the hands of Kl'rt but some said that he escaped. The council was making a decision if they should declare him dead, or use resources on him to track Mar-Vell.
"How should we act, Supreme Intelligence?" The Kree leader asked.
"Do you have a lead on Mar-Vell?" The Supreme Intelligence asked.
"His status is unknown. But he was last seen on the rescue ship that was attacked by the Skrulls."
"Report this to the Head of Defense. Now!"
"Right away, Supreme Intelligence." The Kree leader bowed and boarded on the ship which was on the way to the armoury.
The Kree were a peaceful race but when they have to be included in warfare, they become the most fearsome warriors the galaxy has ever seen. Since the beginning of time, the Kree and the Skrulls have been fighting for domination. To this day, the Kree have been winning most battles. But with the current situation with Mar-Vell, it seems like the Skrulls might win the war.
The Kree leader quickly gathered himself and started running towards the armoury main. Many soldiers greeted him on the way there to show some respect. Once he made it, the Head of Defense was sitting down on the big chair.
"Master, you must have heard the news on Captain Mar-Vell?"
"Yes, I have."
"How should we act upon this matter?"
"Prepare the armies." Ronan the Accuser stood up and face the leader, "Send ships into space. Track his coordinates using the Universal Ray. I want him to be found."
"Will do." The Kree leader nodded.

Another world? Some weird magic? Sure.
Writing my last novel, I realized that before you start, an ending should be there in your mind. So I wrote this as an atonement to my first novel. This is a typical story about someone who gets stranded in another world with OP powers. But this is not about just the MC, but also some people around him who directly/indirectly had their lives changed. I've written this as a collection of short stories where some may be bigger and more intense than the others. Note: I've finished writing all the chapters, but will upload on my own discretion.
