Klaus awoke from his slumber to see the raven haired beauty beside him. He looked at her adoringly. Leaning forward, he lightly kissed the top of her head. "Good morning, love."

Her eyes remained closed. "Good morning," she mumbled sleepily. One of her hands moved to rub her eye, "Last night was fun, but I feel exhausted."

The hybrid smiled slightly and leaned forward to gently kiss her cheek. A soft smile appeared on her lips. She moved closer and cuddled into his chest. She was currently wearing his shirt.

"I'm sleepy," she mumbled. Klaus' hand gently caressed her shoulder. The movement seemed to bring her closer to falling asleep again. She added to her words, "And hungry."

The hybrid turned his head to look at her. Pressing another gentle kiss on her forehead, he spoke, "I can go get you breakfast, love."

Her eyes remained closed as she sleepily responded. "I don't have any food in the house because I haven't been here in a while."

He nodded. "Well, there's a lot of shops nearby where I could pick you up some food," Klaus offered softly.

Her arm held him tighter. "If you're getting up I'm going with you."

His face softened. "Sweetheart, you can barely keep your eyes open." Klaus kissed her forehead. "I'll be back in a few minutes. You can go back to sleep, my love."

Percy nodded and cuddled back into the blankets.

"I love you," Klaus spoke as he kissed her cheek.

The sea green eyed being replied. "I love you too."

The demigod drifted back to sleep, his kiss leaving a lingering warmth on her cheek.

Percy was in a darkened area. There were sharp pieces of glass across the floor. Red clouds passed by overhead, and it hurt to breathe.

She felt like she was being watched. They were after her. Monsters surrounded her on all sides.

There was no one else around her. There were only monsters.

Shit.

Unknown to the demigod who was held captive by her nightmare, a storm had started.

The skies had darkened outside, despite the sun already rising. Harsh waves crashed against the shore roughly, as winds picked up.

Percy was thrashing around in her sleep, dreams of tartarus filling her head.

The ground began shaking beneath the bed she laid on, reflecting her distress.

The door to the bedroom flew open as the hybrid rushed in. He entered to find the sea green eyed being was having a nightmare.

He set the brown paper bag he was holding onto the counter and sped to her side. She would be upset if he didn't make sure the food was okay.

Klaus tried to wrap his arms around her thrashing form. He attempted to enter her mind, but found he still couldn't.

The large window on the side of the room revealed how badly the storm was growing. The water in the ocean was moving harshly, rising and falling quickly. Winds were loud, and they could easily be heard through the closed window.

Percy continued moving her limbs around frantically, her heartbeat skyrocketing.

The glass from the large window shattered, the shards littering the floor in front of the window. Strong winds blew into the room, causing the curtain to move wildly in the air. The storm seemed to worsen outside.

"Percy!" He tried to lightly shake her arms but it wasn't working. "Percy, wake up!"

Suddenly, he was flipped onto his back.

The demigod's eyes glowed a dark green as she regarded him with a murderous glare. Her hand clutched at the neck of his shirt.

Despite her eyes opening, she didn't seem to recognize what was going on.

She didn't recognize him.

"Love, it's me."

She leaned in a bit. "Who are you?" The words came out cold.

"Nik. Love, it's me. Klaus Mikaelson." He gently tried to reach out towards her. His arm was immediately shoved down into the bed roughly. Her eyes seemed to glow brighter.

"Percy!" He called out, trying to bring her back to reality. He didn't feel any fear, just concern for her well-being.

The cold winds blew in mixed with mist from the storm forming outside. She twisted the fabric of his shirt tighter.

"Persephone!" His eyes glowed gold.

The demigod abruptly threw herself backwards off of him. She ended up on the corner of the bed, farthest away from him. She looked terrified. Her breathing was shallow as she blankly gazed at a fixed point on the blankets.

Her knees were pulled into her chest.

The ground had stopped shaking and the strong winds had died down. The storm still continued though.

"Love?" Klaus looked at her worriedly. The hybrid stood up from the bed. He took small steps towards her, not wanting to alarm her.

When he got closer, he sat in front of her on the bed. Klaus gently reached out to touch her hand. She instantly jumped and held her hand close to herself.

"Percy? Love, it's okay."

She shook her head back and forth. Her sea green irises resembled the eyes of a person who suffered a thousand years worth of pain.

"I was there again. It felt so real." The demigod mumbled, her eyes still trained on a fixed point.

Klaus was confused. "You were where?"

"Tartarus," she replied simply.

He was more confused.

"Love, talk to me." He gently reached out to hold her hand. This time, she didn't flinch away. Slowly, her head turned to look at him.

Her eyebrows were furrowed, but her face softened upon seeing his.

"What do you mean, 'tartarus?'" He was somewhat familiar with Greek mythology, and he was pretty sure tartarus was...hell.

Percy shrugged slightly. She looked away again, avoiding his gaze, which in turn, caused her to see the destruction around her. It was utter chaos.

She had been so transfixed on her nightmare, she somehow failed to notice the storm outside. Winds still blew into the room, but they had become less harsh once she came to her senses. Her face scrunched up in worry. A small part of her knew she caused it, but she didn't want to believe it.

"Nik, what's going on?" Her voice was soft. A part of the demigod just wanted to break down into tears, while the other part felt kind of numb.

Percy was someone who seemed so joyful, goofy, and laid back. But, she still had trauma. Sometimes the painful memories would overwhelm her and she would be stuck in grief.

Pain had a way of twisting around people like a vine. It wrapped around the victim tighter and tighter until they were unable to cope, leaving them feeling lifeless. And despite what she was capable of, sometimes Percy felt lifeless, and unable to cope. Sometimes, she felt broken.

When he began speaking again, his voice stayed soft. "You caused a storm in your sleep. I believe it stemmed from your nightmare."

She looked at him in confusion. "What?"

Her head turned towards the window again to see a small hurricane had formed in the water. Drops of water flew everywhere as harsh winds picked up.

There's a saying from Shakespeare that states, 'the eyes are the window to the soul.' And right now, Percy's sea green ones, were shards of stained glass, broken and dull.

Her heartbeat sped up slightly. "I caused this?" The storm seemed to worsen as fear wrapped around her.

If I could cause this when I was asleep, what else was I capable of?

His blue eyes stayed trained on her face as he softly responded. "Unless it was a coincidence that it began during your nightmare. The ground was shaking as well, but it stopped."

Her eyes looked around the room. Percy saw the destruction she caused. Her face scrunched up as she slowly got off the bed.

Things had fallen to the ground and broke from when the floors shook. Paintings on the wall and items that were on tables littered the ground. The pieces of glass from the window were left on the floor in front of it.

Klaus stood up as well and stayed close to her.

The raven haired beauty's eyes filled with worry, as she quickly looked back into his blue ones.

"Are you okay though? Did I hurt you?" She asked, her voice soft, and vulnerable.

He shook his head and moved closer to her again. He kissed her forehead. "It's okay, love. You didn't hurt me."

Her face contorted into pain. "Did I try to?"

He shook his head. "No, no. All you did was straddle me, pin my arms down, and grip the neck of my shirt as you looked like you wanted to murder me. And your eyes glowed, but that was it."

"I looked like I wanted to murder you?" It seemed his response still left her feeling guilty.

In an attempt to lighten the mood, he joked. "It's not anything to worry about, love. People try to kill me all the time, and usually do so after knowing me for much less time. I'd say you're a record breaker for not looking at me that way sooner." He sent her a lighthearted smile.

Percy was more bothered by the situation than he was. She looked around the room, her eyes full of tears, before brining her sad gaze back to him. "Nik, I'm so sorry."

He stepped closer to her again, and his hand moved to rest on the small of her back. "Don't apologize." His eyes looked deep into her own. "You didn't do anything wrong. You were asleep."

His words still didn't dismiss her guilt. She felt horrible.

The hybrid leaned in to kiss her cheek. Her sea green eyes looked up at him sadly. He moved his hand up to softly brush her cheek. "It's okay." His voice was gentle, like a whisper.

She kept her eyes locked on his. Percy was clinging to his dark blue eyes like they were a lifeline. It was like he was a safety boat in the harsh waters of pain, known as life. He made her feel protected; he made her feel like she was at home. He was her safety. And safe was something Percy Jackson wasn't used to feeling.

Klaus sent her a small comforting smile. "I still got you a small breakfast."

A small, barely there smile appeared on her face. "Thank you."

The hybrid nodded and his hands found their way to her waist. Lifting her up, Percy's legs automatically wrapped around his torso. He lightly pressed another kiss on her cheek, before walking back over to the counter to pick up the brown paper bag containing food.

With her still in his arms, he sat down on the couch in the room. The sea green eyed being was seated on his lap.

The hybrid looked up at her. When he spoke, his voice sounded like a comforting hug. "Close your eyes and think about the storm outside."

Soft winds were still blowing into the room. "Okay." Percy closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"I want you to imagine the sky clearing back up and the water calming down." He was helping her find a sense of control. She concentrated on the harsh waters.

The sky began to clear and the hurricane dissipated back into the ocean. The waves began to slow back down into calmer waters.

Her eyes opened and her glowing irises were revealed momentarily before fading back to the normal sea green color. She glanced back at the window. A small happy smile spread on her face. "I did it."

"Yes, you did." The hybrid regarded her lovingly.

Percy turned her attention back to him. The corners of her mouth pulled upwards slightly as she leaned in to press her lips against his. He instantly kissed back.

She looked back up at him with a happy grin. The raven haired beauty's eyes landed on the brown paper bag resting on the cushion beside them. "What'd you get?" She questioned softly.

"It's nothing big. It's just muffins and orange juice. I was going to get more food, but the storm started and I had a feeling that you weren't okay, so I rushed back."

Before he could continue, she excitedly kissed his cheek. "It's perfect. Thank you." She smiled at him. Percy moved to grab the bag.

The sea green eyed being picked up the small bottle of orange juice and took a sip. She retwisted the cap back on, before reaching into the bag to pick up a muffin. The demigod removed the wrapper from it and took a bite.

Her eyes lit up. "It's really good!" She commented after she swallowed the bite.

He smiled a bit in amusement. "Is that so, love?"

"Yeah!" She picked off a piece of the muffin and held it out towards his mouth. "Do you want some?"

Klaus chuckled and allowed her to give him the piece of the muffin. "It is a good muffin," he admitted.

A soft smile stayed on her face as she continued eating it. In between bites, she began asking questions. "Did I say anything in my sleep?"

Klaus shook his head and began speaking, "At one point it seemed like you woke up, but you weren't processing anything around you. You didn't recognize me and you seemed slightly murderous, but that was about it."

Percy bit her lip. She looked down, not meeting his gaze. "Tartarus was..." Her sentence trailed off. She shook her head, "That place can make me more...defensive."

"What do you mean, love?"

She shrugged slightly. "A few years ago, Annabeth and I fell into tartarus. We were falling for several days and when we finally reached the bottom, we entered a place filled with monsters." She shook her head. "I was paranoid all the time."

Klaus was shocked. "You were in actual hell?"

She nodded. "We were there for a while too. As you could probably guess, it wasn't very cozy. The air suffocated us, and blisters formed on our skin. Tartarus is a place of suffering for mortals, gods, and others. It's designed to hurt them with acidic air, water of sadness, and the ground is made of broken glass. It's gray and there's red clouds that resemble the color of blood."

The raven haired beauty didn't think there was a way to truly describe what tartarus was like with just words. Yet, she still tried to describe it to him.

"I wouldn't have made it out if Annabeth wasn't with me." Percy felt her best friend was the only thing keeping her going when they were stuck down there.

Klaus reached out to softly hold her hand. Feeling the warmth of his hand in hers made her feel considerably better. The hybrid questioned gently, "How did you make it out?"

She answered, "We had some help. We befriended a titan. His name was Bob."

"Bob?"

"Well, his real name was Iapetus, but we called him Bob." Percy clarified.

The demigod continued telling him about tartarus. "Tartarus is the darkest and deepest part of the Underworld. It's a place where the gods send their enemies. When Annabeth and I fell in, we only survived because we fell into the River Cocytus. The river is also known as the River of Wailing, because once one is submerged in the river, it fills the person's thoughts with immense sadness, and takes away a person's will to live. It's also freezing cold and filled with heartbroken voices, which is totally not very cash money of it."

"Chile anyways, Annabeth was able to drag me out of the sad water, since I was unable to get myself out, after all the misery attacked me." She was describing the situation like it was no big deal, even though it was actually a very horrible experience.

"Then, we followed some empousi, which for clarification, are knock off vampires with hairy legs, but then we were attacked by them. The reason we were following them in the first place was because they were on their way to the Doors of Death. The Doors of Death are the personal gateways used by Thanatos, the death god, to enter and leave Hades' Realm, aka the Underworld."

"At the time, the Doors of Death were being controlled by Gaea. I call her Dirt Face, but you might know her as Mother Earth. She was responsible for a lot of crap that my friends and I had to deal with such at the Second Giant War. But that's a whole other story, that we can go into on another day."

"Anyways, when we got attacked by the knock off vampire monsters, Bob, also know as Iapetus, saved us. Bob is actually a really cool titan."

Klaus was receiving an overwhelming amount of information and was trying to process all of it. "So Bob isn't a monster then? If he was helping you..."

"Bob didn't have his memories at first. He lost them temporarily after I, um, killed him. And even when he got his memories back, he ultimately still helped us. Bob was really nice, and I still miss him. But, technically, yes, titans are still monsters, but not all monsters are bad."

She took a sip of her orange juice. "Alright, back to the story. I'm gonna skip some stuff since I think there's too much to go into right now. But one important thing to include is that Bob adopted a creature called a spartoi, which is the singular form of spartus. He named him Small Bob. Small Bob is kinda similar to a kitten and a tiger. Anyways, he was very cute."

She felt it was important to mention Small Bob because he was very cute, and he also fought alongside Bob to help them. In Percy's eyes, Small Bob was iconic.

"Once we arrived at the Doors of Death, there was many more difficulties we encountered with monsters and other stuff. But Small Bob helped Bob fight off Tartarus so Annabeth and I could escape."

"Before we left, Annabeth shattered the chains keeping the doors in Tartarus, and Hazel severed the chains on the other side, causing the monsters to lose their control on the Doors of Death, along with taking away their easy way of escaping Tartarus."

Percy took another sip of her orange juice. She looked sad as she continued, "Bob had to stay behind so that we could escape. His parting statement to us was, 'Tell the sun and stars hello for me.'"

The raven haired beauty's eyes teared up again. She kept her gaze down, not meeting the hybrid's eyes.

Percy took a deep breath. "So, um, I don't really know what to say now. I used a lot of words and uh, I don't know where to go from here, so..."

The original nodded a bit. "Thank you for telling me. All of that was a tad overwhelming to take in, but thank you, love."

She looked up at him and sent him a small smile.

Klaus gestured to the brown paper bag. "Now we can just focus on eating muffins." His dimples appeared as he smiled at her.

The sea green eyed being grinned, and leant forward to kiss his cheek. "I like the way you think."
