Percy and Klaus stood outside the apartment building.

The demigod had picked up a few small items from her house before they left.

Klaus was holding his duffel bag and a bouquet of flowers for Percy's mother.

She led them to the front door of the building and they walked in.

When they made it to the floor of the apartment and found the door, Percy glanced at Klaus. "You ready?" She spoke with a small smile.

He nodded in response. Then his eyes widened as if remembering something. "Wait. What's your stepdad's name again?"

"Blofis," the sea green eyed girl responded. "Why?"

He looked back at the door. "I guess you'll just have to see, love."

She playfully rolled her eyes. The demigod inserted her key into the lock and unlocked the door. Pushing the door open, the pair was immediately greeted by an excited puppy.

Percy set the items she had in her hands down, to greet the dog. "Hi, Rudy!"

She moved past the doorway and kneeled down to pet him. The raven haired beauty looked back at the hybrid, who was still standing outside the doorway.

Oops.

"You can come in," Percy said with a grin.

He stepped into the apartment.

Rudy's tail wagged happily as he walked up to Klaus. The original set his duffel bag down to pet him with his free hand.

"Hello," Paul spoke from the other side of the room. He began walking towards them.

Rudy wandered back over to the demigod. She continued petting the adorable puppy.

Percy sent a small smile to her stepdad.

I hope this doesn't get awkward.

She had already informed Paul and her mom that she was bringing someone back with her.

Klaus stepped toward Paul and held out his hand. "I'm Klaus. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Blofis."

Percy wanted to laugh.

That's why he wanted to know.

Paul smiled and shook his hand with a strong grip. "You can call me Paul."

That's a good sign! I think.

The daughter of the sea continued running her fingers through Rudy's fur.

Cutie.

Percy and Klaus sat on the couch in the living room of the apartment. The demigod was holding Estelle in her arms.

Rudy was laying next to the hybrid on the couch.

"Hi, cutie." The raven haired beauty spoke to the baby.

Estelle replied with a smile, "Hi, Pewcy."

"Can you say Nikkie?"

The two-year-old got a little shy and looked away slightly.

Percy sent her a smile. "Nikkie."

Estelle brought her gaze to the hybrid.

Her cute baby eyes stared at him.

"He's cute, isn't he?" The demigod grinned.

The two-year-old giggled. She shook her head and pointed to herself. "No, me."

"You're cute?" Percy asked in amusement.

Estelle grinned cutely. "Yeah."

The sea green eyed girl laughed. She glanced at Klaus. "Do you wanna hold her?"

He looked at the baby in awe. "Am I allowed to?"

Aw.

Percy chuckled. "Of course, you can."

She moved closer to him and held out Estelle. The hybrid gently held her up. She was in a standing position on his lap and she was facing him.

"Hi!" Estelle smiled widely.

Klaus' face softened. "Hi, Little Star."

She giggled, causing the hybrid's dimples to appear on his cheeks.

Oh my gods, they're so cute.

Estelle's tiny baby hand moved to gently pat his cheek. She kept her hand over his dimple.

She grinned and pulled her hand away to sit. "Nikkie," she repeated his name.

"Good job!" Percy exclaimed happily.

Estelle wrapped her hand around Klaus' pointer finger.

"I think she likes you," Percy commented as she watched the pair.

The original glanced over at her with a soft happy expression. "Really, love?" A bit of hope dripped into his voice.

The demigod nodded.

Klaus smiled at the two-year-old.

The hybrid and demigod sat next to each other at the kitchen table. Rudy stood in between them.

The kitchen table was covered with old news papers. Pieces of paper and paint was set on top of the table too. The paint was safe for babies, and was edible in case Estelle tried to eat any.

Estelle was in a standing position on the chair Percy was seated in. The sea green eyed girl gently held the two-year-old to help her keep her balance.

Estelle dipped her finger into a dollop of blue paint. She started moving her finger across the blank piece of paper.

The hybrid was going to use a paintbrush for his picture, but Estelle insisted he did finger painting as well.

Percy watched as the pair each painted a picture.

Estelle made a jumble of squiggly blue lines.

Klaus made little trees on his painting.

The raven haired beauty pointed to the blob of blue paint. "What color is that?" She quizzed the baby.

Estelle looked at the color Percy pointed to. "Blue!"

The demigod cheered. "Yes! Good job!" She held out her hand for Estelle.

The two-year-old smiled proudly and gently high fived her.

Percy realized she got paint on her hand from the high five and laughed.

Estelle tugged on the demigod's hand to get her attention. "Smile face."

"Do you want me to draw a smiley face?" Percy questioned. She had been trying to teach Estelle how to make smiley faces.

The demigod dipped her finger into the paint and drew a smiley face on the paper.

Estelle pointed to the smiley face and mirrored the expression on her face. "Happy."

Aw.

Estelle glanced at the hybrid. "Happy!" She exclaimed as she pointed to the smiley face again happily.

Klaus looked at her fondly. His dimples appeared on his cheeks. "Happy," he repeated the word.

Her grin widened in success.

"Happy," she mumbled to herself, as she looked at her picture one last time.

She tried to pick it up with her tiny hands.

"Do you wanna paint a new picture?" Percy asked.

The demigod moved Estelle's artwork to the side and moved a blank piece of paper in front of the two-year-old.

Estelle clapped and smiled cutely.

She proceeded to submerge her entire hand into the glob of blue paint.

Estelle left little handprints across the paper.

Percy smiled softly and looked at her little sister. "It's beautiful," she commented.

Estelle grinned.

She moved her hands together getting both hands covered in blue paint.

She giggled as she began to turn into a smurf.

Oh my gods, she's so cute.

Klaus looked over at the two-year-old with a smile adoring his features.

Estelle looked up at him cutely and pointed to his painting. "Smile face."

The hybrid gestured to the picture. "You want me to paint a smiley face?"

The original didn't typically add smiley faces to his work.

"Smile face," she grinned. Her adorable eyes made it impossible to say no.

Klaus chuckled. "Okay, I'll paint a smiley face."

He dipped his finger in one of the paints and drew a happy face on one of the trees.

After completing the 'smile face,' he showed it to Estelle for approval. "Is the smile face okay, little Star?"

The girl grinned. "Pretty."

Klaus sent an arrogant smirk at Percy. "My artwork is pretty."

The demigod laughed. "Yeah, it is."

After doing art with Estelle, Klaus and Percy left the apartment and wandered around the streets of New York.

At one point, they entered an art museum. Their hands stayed intertwined as they explored the rooms filled with art.

They walked through a corridor filled with paintings.

The museum wasn't busy and they were the only ones in the hallway.

The demigod pointed at one of the paintings and laughed. "Look, that one kinda looks like you."

The hybrid's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He realized there was a puppy in the painting. He tried to give her a cold stare, but ended up laughing.

"Thanks, love. How incredibly kind of you." Klaus commented with an amused smile.

Percy grinned at him. "I'm embracing your were-puppy side."

"Oh, is that what this is?" Klaus couldn't stop the growing smile on his lips.

"Duh," the raven haired beauty replied. "Obviously."

He grinned and smoothly pulled her in close. Their lips met.

Smiling into the kiss, Percy looked up at him, "Can we go get ice cream?"

Klaus chuckled. "We're kissing and you're thinking about icecream?"

"I'm always thinking about ice cream," the corners of her lips rose as she loosely wrapped her arms around the back of his neck.

He brought his lips back to hers and kissed her softly.

When the kiss ended, Percy added to her previous statement. "And sometimes I think about you."

Klaus smiled happily. "I think about you quite a lot, love."

The demigod momentarily looked away in an effort to contain the butterflies that filled her stomach. Looking back at him with a grin, she gently brushed her hand over his cheek.

When his dimples appeared, Percy gently poked on of them. "Boop."

She giggled as his grin widened. Poking his dimple again, the sea green eyed girl leaned forward to kiss his cheek.

The pair made their way down the busy sidewalks of New York City. Their hands remained intertwined.

They found an ice cream place and each left the store with a small cup of ice cream.

There were small tables set up outside the shop. Klaus and Percy sat down next to each other.

"Did you know unicorns are real?" The demigod questioned.

Klaus' eyes widened. "What?"

"I've seen them at the Roman camp." The green eyed being informed him.

The hybrid was fascinated by the information. His eyes locked with hers. "You're not messing with me, right?"

"Nah." Percy ate a spoonful of her strawberry ice cream. "Pegasi exist too. I have one. His name is Blackjack."

Klaus looked at her in awe. "You have a pegasus? Can I meet him?"

The original had an appreciation for horses. So discovering the existence of unicorns and Pegasi excited him.

Percy laughed. "Yeah, probably. You've been able to see through the mist before."

Klaus' eyebrows furrowed slightly as he thought of different questions. "What do you feed a pegasus?"

The raven haired beauty shrugged, "Blackjack likes donuts."

"Donuts?" He seemed a bit taken aback. "Fascinating."

Percy laughed softly.

The pair continued wandering around the city. They began walking through a park.

The sky had turned dark, but New York always had bright lights that shined even in the latest parts of the night.

A slight breeze blew by.

"Nik, do you believe in soulmates?" The raven haired beauty questioned curiously. Her tone was soft.

The hybrid replied, "Yes."

The pair had stopped walking. Percy's eyes scanned over his features, while his own eyes looked across the trees around them.

"I'll be honest with you, love. If you had asked me that question a few years ago I would've said no. In my thousand years, I have yet to see long lasting relationships with true love when it comes to supernatural beings. And I definitely haven't experienced it." He gently tugged her arm so that she was facing him.

Taking a small step towards her, he continued, "But based on recent discoveries," he chose his words carefully and kept his eyes looking elsewhere. "I'd like to imagine that there could be a possibility in which people could truly love and be loved; A world where two people spend an eternity together."

Percy leaned forward and lightly kiss his cheek. Whispering, she responded, "Me too."

When the two beings finally made it back to the apartment building, they didn't immediately go inside.

Percy loosely wrapped her arm around the back of Klaus' neck and pulled him closer.

"Nik, you're great, but you've been taking such a long time to do things.-"

Before she could continue, the hybrid's face turned into one of worry. "This doesn't sound like a good conversation, love. Are you breaking up with me?"

She shook her head quickly. "What? No. Why would you even-?"

"You started the conversation with, 'you're great, but.' How could that not lead to a bad conversation?"

Good point.

She shook her head again. "What I'm trying to say, is..."

"Would you like to be my boyfriend? Like officially?"

Her adorable eyes looked up at him, waiting for an answer.

He leaned in and their lips melted together.

Klaus leaned his forehead against hers. "I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed, love."

Oh gods. Is he the one breaking up with me?

"See, I had this whole thing planned, places I wanted to take you to, cute romantic gestures and everything, because I wanted to be the one to ask you to be my girlfriend and-"

Percy pulled him in close again to press her lips back against his. The hybrid couldn't help but pull her in closer.

"Sorry, babe," She spoke with a playful smile.

Klaus' grip tightened on her after hearing the name. Their faces were really close, which caused Percy's heart to skip a beat.

"If it makes you feel any better, you can still totally do all the things you had planned. I'll probably still be surprised and everything." She admitted.

A small smile spread on his face. "Really, love?" He asked hopefully.

She nodded.

He kissed her deeply. "You're a wonderful girlfriend."

The raven haired beauty giggled and kissed his lips again. "And you are such a great boyfriend."

His smile widened, showing off his dimples.

Percy pulled out a birthday kazoo from her pocket and blew it in his face.

The corner of his mouth went up. "Where did you get that?"

She blew the kazoo again. "I found it in my old room."

The kazoo made a soft sound when she blew into it.

"Do you want one? I think I have more somewhere."

The hybrid chuckled, "No, love. That's okay."

She blew into the kazoo again. "Your loss."

there are many i still haven't used, and i do have plans for them!!
