Percy sat on a chair with Estelle on her lap. The two year old held a small container filled with original cheerios. She picked up a piece of the cereal one by one before bringing them to her mouth.

The demigod adored her little sister and loved watching her do basic things.

Sally was laying on a hospital bed. Paul was standing over her, trying to make sure she was okay. "Do you want any water? I can get some more."

Percy's mom smiled softly. "I'm fine, dear. I think we have enough water." She gestured to a nearby table covered with water bottles and other snacks.

"Can I get you anything else?" He offered.

Sally made a sound of amusement. "No, I'm alright." The doctors had her on pain medication.

The sea green eyed girl had already used water to heal the soft tissue damage her mom had, but fixing broken ribs and whiplash was harder to take care of. The doctor recommended that she get lots of rest, since there wasn't a medical procedure for broken ribs.

Estelle handed her empty container to Percy. "All gone."

Percy took the container and set it down on a small table beside them.

"Tank you," Estelle said with a cute smile. Sometimes, she still struggled with the 'th' sound.

Aw.

Rudy walked up to the pair. Estelle clapped and giggled. "Doggy!" She held out her tiny baby hand and gently pat the puppy's head.

Rudy's tail wagged. He was very gentle around the young girl.

Cuties.

The next two days passed by. Sally got a lot of rest and Percy got to spend a lot of time playing with Estelle.

It was late at night. The daughter of the sea was standing outside of their apartment building, feeling the cool wind blow by.

Sally had already been discharged from the hospital, and was instructed to get plenty of rest.

Her family was trying to sleep inside, but the demigod didn't feel like sleeping.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket. After hesitating for a moment, she turned on the device.

The phone screen lit up, revealing countless missed calls, texts, and voicemails.

Percy pressed her lips together in a thin line.

Dang.

Annabeth and the Mikaelson siblings had attempted to reach out to her multiple times. The raven haired beauty noticed the name that appeared the most was one original in particular.

Klaus sent many texts and left numerous voicemails.

She skimmed through a few of the text messages. Percy then decided to click on one of the voicemails. Turning the volume up on her phone, she held the device up to her ear.

She heard the hybrid's British accent. "If you didn't want to murder me before, you probably do now. I'm pretty sure I've left over forty voicemails."

"It's just that this is the closest thing I have of actually talking to you. And it seems I can't function without you." He took a deep breath. "I understand if you hate me."

"But, love, I need you to know that I'm sorry. And I need you know that I do care for you."

The voicemail ended. Percy pulled the phone away from her ear and clicked on another voicemail. She couldn't help it.

Although she wouldn't admit it, she missed his voice.

"You'd think I'd learn how short these voicemail recordings last by this point. But I don't. I would try to talk faster, but I'm not really the rapper type."

Percy almost smiled at the last statement.

He continued, "I miss you. In case it wasn't obvious."

"Can you please call me back? Or just let me know that you're safe. I'm not sure if family emergency refers to your mom or your dad's side, which would mean some dangerous demigod activity. I know I don't deserve it, but I- I miss you so much."

There was a muffled sound in the background.

The hybrid spoke, "Go away, Rebekah."

Another fumbling sound was heard before the voicemail ended.

Once again, the demigod clicked on another voicemail.

"Hello, love. I found a safer location where Rebekah won't disturb me." He paused for a moment. "Sometimes I wait for you to respond, despite knowing it's a voicemail. Anyways, can you delete the first and eleventh voicemail I left you and never listen to them? Both of them just include me crying and I honestly don't want anyone hearing that."

He cried?

Percy felt her heart drop at the thought. For a brief second, she considered looking for the voicemail, but she immediately shut that thought down.

The voicemail ended and Percy started the next. "Can we pretend that I didn't admit any of that in the previous voicemail?" The raven haired beauty mentally agreed to delete the two voicemails without listening to them.

"The truth is, love, I care for you more than you could even imagine. And I really am sorry."

The sea green eyed girl watched as yet another voicemail ended. Her finger hovered over his contact in her phone.

She typed out a text to him. 'hey, are you okay?'

She hesitated to send it.

Percy vapor traveled back to her bedroom.

Rudy was fast asleep in his dog bed and Estelle was sleeping in her crib.

The raven haired beauty laid down. She pulled out her phone and sent the text to the hybrid. When she didn't receive a response within a millisecond of sending it, she placed her phone face down on the table beside her. And with that, Percy drifted off to sleep.

When Percy awoke the next day, she picked up Estelle from her crib. "Good morning, sunshine!"

The baby smiled. "Hi, Pewcy."

The corners of the demigod's lips went up at her cuteness. "Let's go see mama."

The sea green eyed girl carried Estelle to Sally and Paul's bedroom. Rudy happily walked beside them.

Percy lightly knocked on the door even though it was open. Sally was laying in bed and Paul wasn't in the room.

The raven haired beauty walked into the room. "Hey, mom. How are you feeling?"

"I'm doing okay, sweetie."

The daughter of the sea asked, "Where's Paul?"

"I sent him to the store to give him something to do," Sally laughed.

Percy chuckled and sat down on the edge of the bed, with Estelle still in her arms.

The two year old played with the demigod's hair in her tiny baby hands.

Rudy rested his head on Percy's knee as he watched Estelle.

"How's Mystic Falls? Anything new?" Her mom questioned.

The demigod simply shrugged.

"Did something happen before you left, sweetie?"

Percy replied, while keeping her eyes on Estelle, "I kinda left on not so great terms with someone."

Sally nodded slightly. "And have you talked to this person since you left?"

"No, not exactly."

"Hmm," Sally hummed. "Do you want to know what I think?"

Percy looked up into her kind and gentle eyes. She nodded in response, "Yeah."

Her mom spoke, "I'm not sure what 'not so great terms' entails , but if this person was important to you, I think maybe you should talk to them. It might bring you closure or it might help you make up with that person. But, no matter what, it's your decision and I fully support you." Sally smiled at her daughter.

"Thanks, mom." Percy said with a small smile as she thought about her mom's words.

"Anytime, Perce." Her mom gave her another warm smile.

"Oh, and, mom?"

Sally answered, "Yes, sweetie?"

"I love you." The demigod's eyes watered slightly as she said the words.

Her mother opened up her arms. "Oh, come here."

Percy set Estelle down on the middle of the bed and got up to hug her mom.

"Gentle hug," Sally reminded her.

The raven haired beauty laughed softly as she gently hugged her mom.

"I love you too," Sally responded.

The demigod decided to make a short visit to Mystic Falls.

Percy left Estelle and Rudy with Paul.

She told her parents that she would be back in about thirty minutes.

The daughter of the sea got changed and brushed her hair before vapor traveling back to the small town in Virginia.

Percy pulled out her phone and called Rebekah. When the original answered, the demigod greeted, "Hey, Bex."

Rebekah immediately replied. "Hey, Percy. Are you okay?"

The sea green eyed girl nodded. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay." Percy looked around. "Would it be okay if I dropped by for a quick visit?"

The blonde shook her head in disbelief. "Percy, you can always visit. There's no need to ask."

Percy smiled a bit. "Thanks, Bex."

The demigod vapor traveled to the Mikaelson mansion. She knocked on the door.

The female original opened the door and immediately pulled her friend in for a hug.

Percy laughed a bit. "Hi, Bex."

"I missed you," Rebekah admitted.

"Yeah, I missed you too."

The blonde pulled away. "Good," she said with a grin. The smile slowly fell again as she spoke, "Nik's not home right now. He's trying to track down someone, who's name rhymes with Hershey. If you would like to see him, I could have him come back in seconds. And if you want to kick his a**, I can totally help."

I never realized Percy kind of rhymes with Hershey. That's cool.

Percy laughed. "Thanks, Bex. But I don't think I'll be kicking his a**."

They both knew that Percy would never hurt him. And in all honesty, the demigod just wanted to make sure he was okay.

"Would you like to come in?" The blonde asked with a smile.

The daughter of the sea nodded and entered the house. Glancing back at the original, she spoke, "Could you try to get the guy whose name rhymes with Lick or Mouse to come back? I feel like I should talk to him."

Rebekah smiled a bit. "Yeah." She pulled out her phone to contact her sibling. "I'm just going to tell him to come home, I'm not going to tell him why."

Oop.

—-

Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, and Percy were talking in the living room of the house. The demigod told them about what happened with her mom.

Annabeth wasn't at the house at the moment either.

The conversation paused when the hybrid walked in. His hair was messy and his eyes looked tired. Klaus started speaking without looking up, "So, there's a chance she might be in New York and maybe we could-"

His words cut off when he saw the demigod was in the room. He looked at her like she was the only person in the universe, or at least the only one who mattered.

"Percy?" Her name fell from his lips so delicately.

Elijah guided his other siblings out of the room.

"But we wanna watch," Kol complained.

The brown eyed original shook his head. "Too bad. You can watch from afar."

The three siblings left the room. Kol and Rebekah peaked out from the doorway of the room. Elijah simply listened in to the conversation.

Klaus and Percy were still in their own little world.

"Hi," the demigod greeted softly.

His eyes teared up as he took steps toward her. She didn't step back or hold her hand up to stop him this time.

"You're here." His hands gently held her arms as if assuring himself that she was real and not a figment of his imagination. His face still held a look of shock and awe that she was in front of him. "I thought," his voice trailed off. The hybrid thought he wouldn't see her again. And it terrified him. He shook his head. "Love, I'm so sorry."

He dropped to his knees in front of her.

Is he proposing or praying to me?

Klaus Mikaelson wasn't the type to kneel before people. But his principles and pride didn't matter when the situation concerned Percy.

She was someone who he was always willing to make exceptions for. Kneeling in front of her signified his love for her. He would put her needs before his own, and this was a symbol of that.

His hands gently held hers. "I'm so sorry, Percy," his eyes didn't leave hers. "I do care for you. I care for you more than I could've imagined prior to meeting you. I care so much it frightens me, and I'm sorry I made you think otherwise."

"I shouldn't have said it." He kissed her hand. "Because I definitely didn't mean it."

He placed another kiss on her hand. "I will spend the rest of eternity showing you how much I care."

Oh my gods, he's such a dork.

Percy shrugged. "Kk."

The hybrid didn't seem discouraged by her answer. "Does that mean we're okay?" He looked back and forth between both of her eyes.

The demigod shrugged.

Klaus was silent for a moment as he tried to think of more things to say. Before he could continue, Percy spoke, "Get up."

He stood back up instantly.

The raven haired beauty pulled him in for a hug. "You're the worst," she mumbled into his chest.

Klaus' arms immediately encircled around her, holding her tight. "I know," he whispered.

"And this hug means nothing." Percy added.

The hybrid nodded. "Of course, love." He gently kissed the top of her head.

Her words didn't deter him in the slightest, because having her in his arms suddenly made everything okay again. And maybe, just maybe, they would be okay.
