Percy slowly awoke from her slumber. Rudy was laying beside the demigod in her bed.

The sea green eyed girl pushed the blankets off of her. She gently scratched the fur behind the puppy's floppy ears.

His adorable brown eyes looked up at her. He rolled on his back. "Aw, do you want your tummy rubbed?"

He let out a small bark, as if assuring her that he did.

Percy rubbed his tummy. "Do you wanna go get breakfast?"

Rudy happily jumped up. His tail wagged excitedly as the demigod got out of the bed.

He leapt off the bed and rushed to the door of the room. The dog glanced back at her, waiting for them to walk down to the kitchen.

She laughed a bit and opened the door. The duo walked down the steps.

When they entered the kitchen, Percy picked up his dish and filled it with dog food. She also refilled his bowl of water.

As Rudy ate his breakfast, the demigod checked her phone. Rebekah sent her a text, informing her that they hadn't seen anyone else from the other side. So, there was a chance that Bonnie used her magic to send them back.

Hm.

The raven haired beauty quickly typed back a response. She looked up from her phone, to see Rudy finished his food.

Percy walked toward the door, Rudy following close behind. They went outside and the daughter of the sea watched as Rudy explored the yard.

Her phone rang, causing her to pull the device out of her pocket. Percy smiled softly when she saw Paul was calling her. She hadn't talked to her family in a while.

She answered it. "Hi! What's up?"

Paul was silent for a moment, before he responded. "Hey, Percy," his tone didn't share her excitement. His voice sounded rough with worry and exhaustion.

"Is everything okay?" She suddenly became serious.

"I-" He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath. "Sally and I were in a car accident."

Percy felt waves of worry hit her. "Is everyone okay? What happened? Is mom-"

"I only got a small injury on my arm. And thankfully Estelle was with a babysitter at the time, but," He made a sound that told Percy he was crying. "Sally looked much worse. The doctors are with her right now, and I can't see her."

He took a shaky breath. "I'm so scared."

The sea green eyed girl closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She was worried too.

Nodding, she responded softly, "I know. I'll be there as soon as I can, okay?"

"Okay. I'll send you the address of the hospital." His voice still sounded nervous.

"Alright. I'll see you soon. And Paul?"

Her stepdad spoke, "Yeah?"

"Mom is really strong. Remember that."

Paul took in her words. "She is," he whispered.

"Bye, Paul."

"Bye, Percy."

When the call ended, the demigod realized that Rudy was sitting right in front of her, looking up at her with his cute eyes. It was like he knew something was wrong.

The raven haired beauty dropped to her knees, not caring if she got the legs of her pants dirty. She wrapped her arms around the dog, like a hug. His head rested on her shoulder.

Percy stood back up, after pulling away. She and Rudy walked back inside the house. The demigod quickly began packing a bag. She packed things for both her and Rudy.

Glancing back at the dog, she spoke, "We're gonna go on an adventure. Okay?"

Rudy licked her hand.

Aw.

The demigod pulled her phone out from her pocket to call Apollo. The sun god, however, did not respond.

Really? Of all times, this is when he doesn't answer.

She left him a voicemail and a text informing him of the situation.

The sea green eyed girl picked up her duffle bag and placed the strap on her shoulder. Then, she picked up Rudy in one of her arms.

Percy figured she should say bye to the Mikaelsons. Hazel had already gone back home, and Rebekah and Annabeth were going on a short trip together.

The daughter of the sea vapor traveled to the Mikaelson mansion.

——-

Klaus and Kol were arguing.

The bat-loving original commented, "Nik, you've gotten soft. What happened to your villain side?"

"Kol, I suggest you shut up, unless you'd like to be daggered in a box again."

Kol shook his head with a smirk. "No, brother. See, that threat doesn't work anymore, because Percy doesn't want me daggered, and we both know you follow her like a lost puppy. You'd do whatever she says."

The hybrid's eyes narrowed at him furiously.

"Am I wrong?" Kol teased. "You care. You care a lot. Just admit it."

Klaus shook his head.

"Just admit it." Kol pestered him. "If I remember correctly, many years ago, you were the one preaching about how love is a vampire's greatest weakness."

The hybrid's fists clenched.

A wide smirk appeared on the Kol's face as he continued. "Yet, here you are, being head over heels for Percy. Just admit that you care."

"I am Klaus Mikaelson! I care for no one!"

The statement was a lie. But, the hybrid didn't like showing his vulnerable side. He did care and he did have a big heart, despite the cold exterior.

Only after the words came out of the hybrid's mouth did Kol notice the demigod was in the room.

Kol's face changed into one of worry and regret for not realizing she was there sooner.

Klaus noticed his expression and turned to see what Kol was looking at. His face fell when he saw Percy. A pained look crossed his face. "Percy-"

The sea green eyed girl shook her head slightly. "There's been a family emergency. I have to leave town."

The hybrid was shocked by her words and tried to move forward. "Love-"

She held her hand up in a 'stop' motion. Percy glanced at Kol. "Tell your siblings I said goodbye."

Before either of the two originals could react, the sea green eyed girl vapor traveled away.

Klaus felt like his heart was ripped out of his chest. When she left, it was like his heart left with her.

She's gone.

The thought filled him with pain.

He used his vampire speed to rush to her house. When she wasn't there, he sped to the grill.

She wasn't there either.

The realization that she was really gone hit him. He didn't know where she went. He didn't know if she was okay.

Klaus desperately sped back to his house, clinging to the small hope that she came back.

The demigod, however, was no where to be found.

The original hybrid pulled his phone out and clicked on her contact. His hands were shaking, but it wasn't out of rage; it was out of worry.

Klaus felt himself break down.

The call went straight to voicemail.

He tried calling her a second time. Once again, she didn't answer the call.

Kol stood to the side, not knowing what to do.

Elijah entered the room. "What's going on?"

"She left. She's gone, Elijah!" The hybrid said, worry creeping into his voice.

The original questioned, "Who?"

"Percy," Kol answered quietly.

Klaus stared at his phone. "She's not returning my calls."

His distress was obvious.

Elijah raised an eyebrow. "And what, brother, did you do to cause her to leave so abruptly?"

The hybrid's eyes started tearing up. "I said things I didn't mean."

He looked around the room. "And now, she's gone! She's gone, Elijah!"

The brown eyed original grasped Klaus' shoulder.

"We'll find her."

A tear fell from the hybrid's eye. He immediately stepped back and wiped it away roughly. "I need her back. I need to know if she's okay."

Elijah nodded.

Klaus was panicking. He did care for her. But now, she was gone.

——-

Percy and Rudy arrived in New York City. The demigod powered her phone off, stopping anyone from contacting her.

She had vapor traveled to her mom's apartment. Percy was going to walk to the hospital with Rudy.

The sea green eyed girl put a harness and leash on Rudy, to make sure he didn't run off into the busy New York streets. He was well-trained, and typically stayed attached to her side, but she still wanted to be safe.

Surprisingly, she didn't feel that tired after vapor traveling such a large distance. Although, it might have been because of the adrenaline pumping through her veins, that stopped her from feeling tired.

The pair walked down the sidewalk of the city. Percy had the address of the hospital memorized and she knew the city well.

The raven haired beauty didn't know how long her and Rudy walked for. She was so lost in her worried thoughts about her mom, that the journey to the hospital felt like mere seconds. Percy's feet had carried her to the entrance of the building.

With Rudy still walking beside her, the demigod ventured inside. She manipulated the mist to stop onlookers from seeing the puppy. Percy didn't think dogs were allowed in hospitals, unless they were service dogs.

She made her way towards the front desk. The lady sitting behind the desk sent her a warm smile. "Hello, what brings you in today?"

Percy sent her a small smile as well. "Hi, I'm here to see my mom. Sally Blofis."

The woman nodded and looked at her computer. Her fingers typed on the keyboard in front of her.

The lady looked back at Percy. "She's in room 312."

The sea green eyed girl sent her another small smile. "Thank you."

Percy and Rudy walked into an elevator located near the front desk.

They went up to the third floor and ventured down the hallway of the hospital. Looking at the small room numbers outside of each door, Percy tried to find room 312.

She spotted Paul sitting on a bench in the hallway. The demigod and puppy walked up to him. "Hi."

Paul's head snapped up to look at her. He was thankful that she was here. He immediately rose from his seat to pull her in for a hug.

The daughter of the sea wrapped her arms around him.

"Your mom is in surgery right now. The doctor said none of the injuries are fatal, so she should be okay."

Thank the gods.

"Okay, that's good." Percy replied.

Her stepdad pulled away from the hug. Paul noticed the adorable puppy seated beside her. "This must be Rudy." A small smile appeared on his face.

The demigod had already told Paul and her mom about the dog. Paul gently ruffled Rudy's fur. He sat back down on the bench and held his hand out. "Hi, I'm Paul."

The puppy placed his paw in Paul's hand.

Aww.

Paul gently shook his paw. "It's very nice to meet you."

Percy smiled softly.

She moved to sit down beside Paul on the bench. As Paul continued petting Rudy, he spoke to the green eyed girl. "The doctor said she has whiplash, a few broken ribs, and soft tissue damage. She also said that Sally has a distal radius fracture in her wrist, which is a fancy way of saying she broke her wrist. The wrist injury is what she's in surgery for now."

The demigod became a bit worried again. "That sounds like a lot of stuff."

"I know, but the doctor said it could've been much worse."

Percy looked at Paul. She could tell he was immensely worried, but he was trying to act strong.

Deciding to change the subject, the demigod asked, "Where's Estelle?"

"She's still with the babysitter. We have to pick her up in about an hour." Paul informed her.

The sea green eyed girl nodded. "Okay. I can get Estelle and you can stay with mom, alright?"

Paul nodded. "Okay."
