《SEA GREEN MEETS GOLD (N.M. & P.J.)》Chapter 36: Don't Disrespect My Son

Percy and Klaus sat in the office of the Lockwood mansion with Tyler.
The demigod was seated in a chair with wheels. Rudy was laying across her lap.
She played with his floppy ears. The two guys in the room were having some boring argument. Klaus had arranged for some of his hybrids to watch over Tyler.
The sea green eyed girl happily kept her focus on the puppy.
Her hand pushed off of a shelf next to her, which caused the chair to start spinning.
She held Rudy, and continued spinning them in circles. "Weeeeeeee."
The sound of a phone ringing caught her attention. Her and Rudy raised their heads in sync to find the source of the sound. The chair stopped spinning.
Klaus picked up Tyler's phone off the table. The original leaned back in a fancy leather seat behind a desk. Answering the call with a smirk, he spoke, "Hello, Damon."
The hybrid put the device on speaker phone, so Percy could hear.
Damon sounded only mildly annoyed. "Klaus, where's Tyler?"
The hybrid propped his feet up on the desk in front of him.
The demigod grinned in amusement.
Klaus replied, "Tyler's otherwise occupied. Is there anything I can do?"
"I'm going after the vampire hunter, so if he'd like to join-"
Oh boy, a new vampire hunter. Whoopie. How exciting.
The hybrid cut him off. "He wouldn't. I, however..."
Percy stared at him as he trailed off. "You forgot to finish your sentence." She said helpfully. It happened to her all the time.
He smiled. "I did that for dramatic effect, love. It gave the impression that I would be joining."
The raven haired beauty chuckled. "You do a lot of things for dramatic effect."
The corners of his lips rose.
Klaus stood up from his seat and set the phone down on the table. He looked at the demigod who had started spinning in the chair again.
The hybrid chuckled. "Would you like to come with, love?"
Percy held her hand out in a 'wait' gesture. She made the chair spin a few more times.
The demigod stopped the chair and picked up Rudy, before standing up. "Okay, I'm ready."
The dog licked her hand in appreciation. She carried him everywhere, despite the fact that he never payed her money for being his personal chauffeur.
Rudy did however, give her kisses and looked adorable at all times, so her hard work was worth it.
The iconic duo walked out of the room. Oh, and Klaus too.
➳➳➳
They arrived at Mystic Falls hospital. Apparently, hospitals are the new hot place for vampire-hunter meet ups.
Rudy, Percy, Klaus, and Damon were in the supply room.
The vampire hunter walked in. Percy and Klaus stood off to the side with the puppy.
"Is the hospital really the best place for a germaphobe?" The hunter asked.
Damon stepped forward. "Did I say that I was a germaphobe? Pfft. Sorry. I meant vampire."
Understandable. The words are very similar.
Connor swiftly pointed a gun at Damon, but the traps that were set up attacked the guy before he could pull the trigger. An arrow shot out from the wall, attached to a cord that held it in place. His gun fell from his grasp.
The vampire hunter grunted and kneeled to the ground. Another arrow shot out.
He groaned in pain.
"Oh. Stings, doesn't it?" Damon commented.
He reached for the gun, but Klaus revealed himself and kicked it out of the way.
The sea green eyed girl moved forward too and kicked it again.

Soccer with a gun.
Rudy was still relaxing in her arms.
"Keep it up, buddy." The Salvatore challenged. "We'll be scraping you off the ceiling."
The hunter retorted, "You're gonna kill me anyway."
"Well, let's not be too hasty." The hybrid responded. "I feel like we're just starting to get to know each other."
Percy lightly scratched the puppy's fur, as Damon began talking.
"Start with the basics. Where are you from? What do you know? Maybe you can cue me in on this greater evil, because I've fought this guy," he gestured to the hybrid, "and there's nothing more evil than that."
Percy shook her head. "What about when Thanos did the snap and Peter Parker turned to dust?"
Klaus chuckled at her comment, despite having no idea what she was talking about. He looked back at the hunter, "Truth be told, I'm as evil as it gets."
But...Peter Parker.
"I'm not telling you anything." Connor replied. "You think if you kill me, it's gonna be over? There's another waiting to take my place."
The blue eyed Salvatore looked up at the ceiling gratefully.
As he should. The ceiling deserves love too.
"See, this is what I like to hear—vague threats, ominous prophecies, disappearing tattoos."
Percy felt like the sentence summarized her life. Threats, prophecies, tattoos.
Klaus seemed to be thinking about something else. His face dropped. "What do you mean 'tattoos'?"
"Don't bother. You can't see the damn thing." Damon replied.
The original moved his face closer to the hunter's. "There's more to you than meets the eye, isn't there?"
The hunter swiftly tried to attack him with a wooden stake. Klaus easily stopped him. "Nice try, but I'm faster than your average vampire."
Okay, Lightning McQueen. Zoom zoom.
Klaus twisted the vampire hunter's arm, and removed the thin stake from his grip. He examined it. There was a cute symbol on the stake.
"That's so cute. He does arts and crafts with the stakes!" Percy commented happily. She looked at the hunter. "He doesn't seem that bad."
Klaus shook his head in disagreement. He seemed to recognize the symbol. "You're one of the five."
"The what?" Damon questioned.
The vampire hunter's hand landed on the cord that connected to the arrow inside of him. "I'm faster than your average hunter." He swiftly pulled on the cord.
Percy wrapped her arms around the puppy protectively and vapor traveled outside of the hospital. A large explosion emitted from the room.
Klaus grabbed the hunter and sped him out. Damon rushed out of the room too, just barely missing the explosion.
⇿
Percy, Rudy, and Klaus walked into the Salvatore house. The puppy stayed attached to the demigod's side when she walked.
Elena was lying on a bed, looking sick. Stefan rose from his spot on the bed when the trio entered the room. "You came."
"I did." Klaus responded. "And for future reference, one voicemail is just as effective as 9."
Elena took a shaky breath, causing Klaus to turn his attention to her. Mockingly, he asked, "What's wrong, love?"
"She has werewolf venom in her system." Stefan informed them.
A small smug smile appeared on Klaus' face. Stefan saw the expression. "You know you're the only one that can help her. Klaus, please."
"And what would you have done if I were no longer here? Hm? If you and your friends had succeeded in ridding the world of me?" The original taunted.

Percy's fist clenched as she thought back to the recent events. Klaus gently brushed his hand against her own, in a small way of comforting her. He continued speaking to Stefan. "Let's play that game for a moment, shall we?"
"Whatever you want from me-"Stefan began.
Klaus cut him off. "I don't want anything from you," he seethed.
Rudy barked in support of the hybrid.
The original took a step back and wandered over to Elena. "Her, on the other hand," he approached the bed, "If you had told me a few hours ago, I wouldn't have cared a lick about her dying."
"But as it turns out," the hybrid bit into his wrist, "you may be of use to me after all." He brought his arm to her mouth, and Elena immediately drank from it.
"There we go," he encouraged.
⇀⇀⇀
Klaus and Percy walked back to an RV that the hybrid had placed Connor in.
The original had already summarized what he knew about the hunter with the raven haired beauty.
Rudy was back in the demigod's arms.
The hunter got up from his seat when he spotted the hybrid. Klaus swiftly pushed him back.
Connor glanced at the original with distrust. "You saved me."
"Congratulations. You've just become worth more to me alive than dead." The blond commented.
He looked back and forth between Percy and Klaus. "What—what do you mean?"
Oh gods. Justin Bieber.
The hunter continued, "What did you mean when you said I was one of the five?"
The hybrid's face turned serious. "You don't know your own history?"
Connor stayed silent. Klaus spoke, "Well, let's just say it's made you the most well protected vampire in town."
⇠⇠⇠⇠
The hybrid, demigod, and puppy walked into a room at the mansion containing the hunter.
Connor was strapped to a wall. There was a metal bar above his head, which connected to the cuffs wrapped around his wrists.
He was shirtless, which revealed his muscles.
"Okay, this is so kinky." Percy commented. She glanced at the hybrid, "You are so lucky our son doesn't understand what's happening."
Klaus looked over at her, but it seemed he didn't know how to reply to her words. A small smile still appeared on his face.
Connor looked back and forth between the two beings with furrowed brows. "Vampires can't have children."
Percy was incredibly offended. She kneeled down and covered Rudy's ears. "Don't listen to him, baby. He's a meanie."
The sea green eyed girl looked back up at the hunter with a death stare. "Okay, adoption is a thing, you cruel villain. And don't disrespect my son like that again. Especially, when he's in front of you."
Connor looked at her like she was crazy. "You're talking about the dog?"
"Obviously." She shook her head in disbelief. "Duh."
She glanced back at the hybrid. "Can you believe this guy?" She gestured at Connor. "Absolute meanie."
Klaus chuckled at her words. He tauntingly looked at the hunter with a smirk.
Stefan appeared in the room.
"Looks like I'll have to beef up the hybrid security detail." Klaus commented.
The Salvatore replied, "I was going to take him, but I figured you went through such trouble to truss him up in your red room of pain."
Ooo. Fifty Shades of Mikaelson.
Klaus looked flattered by the vampire's statement. "It's from the inquisition. I thought it was a nice touch."
"Very nice touch." Percy smiled in amusement.
Stefan looked back and forth between the two. "What'd you get out of him?"
"Not enough." The original responded simply. "He's mum about the council fire and he's not saying anything about this greater evil, we're all supposed to be shivering over."
Klaus glanced back at Stefan. "What brings you snooping?"
"Well, I can't say it in front of him." He looked briefly at the hunter. "As I'm sure you've figured out, our friend here can't be compelled."
The original turned his focus on Connor again. "You're full of mysteries, aren't you?"
"I told you, I don't know anything." The vampire hunter replied.
"Thankfully, I know plenty." He walked over to the doorway. "Shall we?" Klaus held his hand out to the demigod. She moved forward and accepted it, once she made sure Rudy was following.
Stefan followed after them. Once they left the room, the hybrid closed the doors, giving them space from the hunter.
Percy found a plastic bone and sat down on the floor to play with the dog. They played tug-of-war with it.
Turning back to the Salvatore, Klaus questioned, "So what's with the home invasion?"
"Damon said you knew something about this guy. I should have figured you were up to something when you healed Elena from the werewolf poison, without asking for anything in return."
Klaus looked at the demigod fondly. "I was feeling benevolent."
"You're never benevolent." Stefan retorted.
"That's not true." Percy argued as she threw the dog toy. Rudy ran over happily to fetch it.
Stefan shook his head at Percy. "Who is this guy? What's the five?"
"So many questions, Stefano." The green eyed girl commented. Rudy dropped the toy in her hand. A grin spread on her face. "Good boy!"
The puppy's tail wagged in excitement.
Stefan glanced over at her in confusion. "I only asked two questions," he pointed out.
"That's two too many." The raven haired beauty sassed with a playful smile. She stuck her tongue out at the Salvatore.
Klaus laughed.
Stefan resisted the urge to retort back to Percy and sent her a fake smile. "It's a good thing I have nothing to do today, except get answers out of you." The Salvatore wandered over to a chair and sat down.
Klaus relented. "Fine."
The raven haired beauty played tug-of-war with the puppy again, as the hybrid recounted information about the hunter. "The brotherhood of the five was a group of highly skilled vampire hunters. We crossed paths with them in the twelfth century, Italy. My siblings and I had followed the Normans as they conquered the South. Feeding, turning people as we went. But with the bloodshed came exposure."
Percy let Rudy win the game of tug-and-war. His tail wagged happily.
She held her hand out and he dropped it. Once again, she threw it across the room for him to run after.
"So these hunters, have been around for 900 years?" Stefan questioned.
"Apparently." Klaus watched Rudy run back to Percy. His run had a bit of a jump to it, so he moved up and down. It was adorable.
The hybrid continued, "Well, our friend in the other room is the first I've seen since then."
"They must be really good at Hide-and-Seek." Percy commented.
The corners of the original's lips went up, as he looked at her. "Kind of makes you wonder what they've been up to all these years."
A really long game of Hide-and-Seek is the only logical answer.
Stefan raised an eyebrow, "And Rebekah had a thing with one of them?"
"Oh, she didn't just have a thing. She fell in love with him."
Poor Bex.
The demigod was glad Rebekah and Annabeth were getting along well.
"He told her all his secrets," Klaus continued. "Which I will gladly share with you...once you go fetch Rebekah. She been distracted with high school matters and of course, Annabeth."
Percy smiled softly. Annabekah for the win.
Stefan rose from his seat.
The hybrid continued, "Oh, and Stefan...trust me when I say this—that hunter in there— holds the answer to all your prayers."
The demigod smiled knowingly, since Klaus already told her about what he knew.
✧✧✧
Percy, Klaus, and Rudy were back in the room with the hunter.
"You feeling alright, mate?" The original asked tauntingly. "Are the shackles getting too tight?"
The demigod couldn't stop herself from chuckling.
Footsteps were heard as Rebekah entered the room with Stefan. "Welcome home, sister." Klaus greeted.
The blonde looked at Connor. "This is a trick? How do you know he's one of the five? Where's his bloody tattoo?"
Haha. Bloody.
"Oh, the tattoos aren't visible on this lot like they were on the last." Klaus explained. He strided over to Percy with a smile. "Let's eat."
Pure excitement radiated off of the sea green eyed girl.
Yay! Food!
➳➳
Klaus, Rebekah, Percy, and Stefan were gathered at the dining room table.
Rudy laid on his fancy dog bed, beside the demigod's chair.
"I could kiss the council for burning up all the vervain in town." The hybrid said with a devilish smirk. "They made my life so much easier."
Percy found herself looking at him when he said the word, 'kiss'. She focused back on her food and stuffed a bite in her mouth.
Stefan looked over at Klaus. "Okay. Now, why don't you tell me about Rebekah's hunter?"
An amused grin appeared on the original's face. "Right. Alexander. Nice chap, forgoing the obvious issues. He was looking for creatures of the night, which is why we felt quite safe around him wearing our daylight rings."
Klaus continued recounting a memory about the vampire hunter. Alexander was talking about an ultimate weapon that no vampire could survive.
"So, that's what this is about?" Stefan questioned. "A weapon?"
Rebekah replied, "Not just any weapon."
"Rebekah, love, don't get ahead of the story." Klaus scolded.
The Salvatore was confused. "How is a weapon the answer to all of my prayers?"
Percy continued eating the food on her plate.
Rebekah and Klaus shared a look.
Stefan noticed their interaction. He leaned back in his chair. "Okay, why don't we just skip with the theatrics and get right to the point?"
"Not quite yet." The original hybrid replied. "Because in order to find this weapon, we need to solve the puzzle, which seems to have disappeared."
"What puzzle?" Stefan asked curiously.
Klaus raised his eyebrows pointedly, waiting for the Salvatore to reach the conclusion by himself.
"The tattoo." Stefan realized. "What is it?"
Percy piped up, "A map."
The corners of the hybrid's lips rose up as he looked at the demigod. He added to her response, "Leading us to it's treasure."
"Fat load of good a tattoo's going to do if we can't see it." Rebekah pointed out.
"We can't, but someone else can." Klaus turned to one of his hybrids who was standing at the edge of the room. "You can bring him in now."
The hybrid had talked with the demigod about Jeremy's ability to see the tattoos. Klaus agreed to her terms of not harming the kid.
Klaus looked at Rebekah and Stefan. "You see, the hunter was so eager to get to the bottom of his mystery tattoos that he mentioned there was only one other person who could see them."
The hybrid minion walked in with Jeremy.
Stefan rushed at the Gilbert, but Klaus sped in front of Jeremy before he could reach him. "I wouldn't. Lucky for us, young Jeremy here is a bit of an artist."
Jeremy looked at the original. "I'm not helping you with anything."
Klaus' hybrid swiftly removed the Gilbert's ring from his finger and tossed it to the original.
"I'm afraid you are." Klaus spoke.
Percy got up from her seat and stood next to Klaus. She gave him a pointed look. He looked into her eyes, "I'll keep my word, love."
Good.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
