Ophelia shot awake at 9:00 that evening. She had just remembered buck Beaks execution.
"Hermione!" Ophelia yelled, pulling a baggy shirt over her sports bra. She glanced over at her crutches and gripped them quickly before running out of the dorm.
"Harry! Ron!" Ophelia yelled, hopping down the stairs with the crutches carrying her. "Bloody hell they're already gone."
It seemed that time was going way quicker, eventhough it wasn't. Just running through the castle with crutches seemed to take forever.
"Your sister is a nut!" Draco yelled at her as he ran by, gripping his nose.
Ophelia shoved Draco as he ran by out of annoyance. He scoffed, but didn't stop. He just kept running with his two goons behind him.
As the dim light from outside hit Ophelias face, she saw Hermione, Harry and Ron standing at the edge of the hill, staring down at Hagrids hut. She raced over to the three and shot her eyes down to the hut. She was too late.
Hermione glanced over at Ophelia and gave her a look of sorrow.
"There was nothing we could have done Ophelia." Hermione said. "Even hagrid knew that."
Ophelia sighed and glanced down at the field.
"Harry!" Ophelia yelled, throwing her crutches to the side and sprinting down the hill. She didn't care how much her knee hurt.
In that moment, Ophelia had just seen a black dog slowly crawling up from the weeping willow. She knew it was Sirius.
"Ophelia are you insane!" Harry yelled. He pushed himself away from Hermione and Ron and sprinted after her, clearly concerned.
The field was large and dim. The dogs eyes were gleaming in the moonlight as they scanned the field.
Ophelia darted over towards the dog. Ron, Hermione and Harry were both yelling behind her, but she didn't care.
Ophelia slowed down as she reached the dog. Her limp became much more evident as she slowly walked closer. The dog growled evidently at somebody behind Ophelia, but she was too focused to care.
"Ophelia!" Hermione pleaded, gripping Harry's arm from running after her.
Ophelia slowly knelt down next to the dog and put her hand out. She smiled as the deep black dog put its head underneath her hand.
"Alright Sirius?" Ophelia whispered, smiling at the dog.
Ophelias eye contact with Sirius was broken by the trio yelling behind them.
"Stay in my pocket bloody stupid rat!" Ron yelled angrily.
Sirius knew Peter was the rat, though nobody else did in the moment. As Ron yelled, Sirius leaped forward, gripping his teeth on Ron's leg and yanking him over to the weeping willow. Within a moment of seconds Ron and Sirius were out of sight.

Ophelia was beyond confused for a moment. Her thoughts were flying as she shot her eyes at the tree that towered in front of them. That's when it hit her, if Sirius could transform, Ophelia was sure Peter Pettigrew could aswell. Peter was the rat.
"You said Peter Pettigrew was missing a finger?" Ophelia asked quietly to Harry, who was standing behind her with Hermione.
"Yeah?" Harry replied, evidently confused.
Ophelia turned to Harry and Hermione and looked up at them. She gripped their hands and squeezed Harry's.
"Do you trust me?" Ophelia asked.
"Yes but-" Hermione began. Harry shot her a glare and nodded.
"Then follow me." Ophelia replied grinning.
She instantly sprinted, dodging several swings from the whomping willows branches. She dove into the hill that Sirius and Ron had gone down. She could hear Hermione and Harry outside, clearly having issues with the tree.
What Ophelia knew was that Sirius would kill Peter if he got the chance. That's the motivation that cause Ophelia to go through the tunnel alone. She knew Harry wouldn't want him to be a killer.
The shrieking shack. That's where they were.
"Ron!" Ophelia yelled when she saw Rons leg. She rushed over to him, kneeling down next to him and analyzing it.
"Ophelia it was a trap." Ron began. "He's here."
Ophelia shot her head around. There he was, in the flesh for the second time. Sirius Black.
Ophelia stood up slowly, opening her arms. She couldn't imagine being wrongly put in Azkaban for 12 years. That rat was proof that he didn't kill all of those people, and now she knew it.
Sirius opened his arms aswell. Ophelia limped over and wrapped her arms around him, hugging the man gently.
"You're a brilliant girl you know?" Sirius whispered, hugging her back.
"Ophelia are you-" Ron stuttered. "You're friends with a killer!"
That's when Hermione and Harry darted into the room. Hermione instantly went to Ron and Harry shot his eyes around the room for Ophelia. The room went silent when they all saw Ophelia standing with Sirius.
"Ophelia!" Hermione yelled finally. "Get away from him he's a killer!"
Sirius chuckled angrily and shot his glance to Harry.
"You believe Ophelia don't you boy?" Sirius asked, keeping eye contact with Harry. "If you don't. I've gotten your proof."
Sirius pointed his finger directly at Ron, who was holding his rat in his scratched up hands.
"Peter Pettigrew is right here!" Sirius belted, making the room shake slightly.
"Oh he's nuts." Ron pouted. "It's not bloody me."
Both Ophelia and Sirius scoffed at that. Ron was so clueless sometimes.

"Not you!" Sirius yelled. "Your rat!"
The room was silent for a moment. Nobody knew what was happening. Harry wasn't sure whether to believe the whole world or Ophelia and Sirius. They were the only two saying he was innocent, but could they be right.
Ophelia saw the confusion on Harry's face and decided to make him see the truth.
"Ron. Give him your rat." Ophelia demanded softly, walking towards Ron.
"You're bloody crazy Ophelia!" Ron exclaimed. "Not a chance!"
For a moment, Ophelia and Ron just stared at each other. Ophelia held her hand out for Ron to put the rat in, but he didnt.
"How do we know this isn't a trick." Harry asked, still unsure. "You're the reason my parents are dead."
Sirius was clearly hurt by that.
"Your father was my bestfriend Harry-" Sirius began. Harry interrupted him, growing frustrated.
"And you betrayed him!" Harry yelled, pulling his wand from his pocket.
"Harry no!" Ophelia yelped, twisting herself around to see Harry jumping at Sirius.
The two were on the ground now, harrys wand to sirius's neck. Their eyes were locked on one another's and it seemed that time froze. Ophelia went to pull her wand, but Hermione gripped her arm. Hermione really didn't realize how wrong she was.
"Expelliarmus!" Came a voice from the doorway.
Harry's wand shot into the air as Remus Lupin stepped into the room. Harry stumbled backwards and Ophelia gripped his hand gently. He glanced down at her and gave her a worried look, but Ophelia just sent a "it'll be alright" look back.
"I trusted you!" Hermione cried out. Remus and Sirius both pulled out of their hug and glanced at her. "I trusted you and this whole time, you were his friend! I even kept your secret!"
This part Ophelia did not know of. She knew Sirius and Lupin were friends in school, but not of this secret.
"What secret?" Ophelia asked, completely baffled.
"He's a werewolf Ophelia." Hermione replied, standing up from Ron's side.
Ophelia shot her eyes to Lupin. He seemed quite impressed by Hermiones knowledge. Who wouldn't be at this point.
"How long have you known?" He asked.
"Since Snapes werewolf essay." Hermione replied with an angry expression.
When Lupin went to reply, Sirius yelled and got everybody's attention.
"Less chit chat!" Sirius yelled. He directed his wand to Ron's rat and shot a spell, causing Ron to roll out of the way and for the rat the fly across the room in panic.
Ophelia pulled out her wand and handed Harry his from the ground. Luckily in time aswell. Second later, Snape came darting in with his wand pointed directly at Sirius.
"Expelliarmus!" Harry and Ophelia yelled in unison.
Snape went flying backwards and was knocked unconscious within seconds. Both Ophelia and Harry were shocked.
"You attacked a teacher!" Hermione cried out.
"Harry killed one in his first year." Ophelia giggled. "Keep up Hermione."
As she turned her head, she saw him. There he was, standing there. Peter Pettigrew.
"Now do you believe me?" Ophelia whispered to Harry.
"I should've from the beginning." He replied in a whisper.
Hermione and Ron were both shocked by this. They had no idea this was what was really going to happen.
Finally, after 12 years in Azkaban, Sirius would be proven innocent.
~
As the group carried Snape out of the whomping willow, they chatted briefly. Both Ron and Ophelia were limping, but Ophelia at least had a knee brace on.
Harry was standing next to Ophelia and Sirius, talking in a whisper as they walked across the moonlit field.
The moonlit field.
Ophelia shot around; Sirius was clearly thinking the same thing because they were both staring at Lupin.
"Lupin my friend did you take your potion?" Sirius questioned, gripping the stunned Lupin in his arms.
Ophelia couldn't hear her thoughts over all the chaos. Within that next minute, there was a werewolf standing tall in front of the group; Sirius was transformed into a dog and Peter Pettigrew was now standing with a wand to his head.
"Expelliarmus!" Hermione yelled. The wand in Peters hand went flying, but moments too late. He was already turned to a rat.
"Ophelia watch out!" Harry yelled. She whipped around to see the werewolf darting at her. Luckily, Sirius jumped in front, knocking Lupin sideways.
Without thinking, Ophelia trailed after the rat. All the screams behind her didn't matter. She needed to get Peter, or Sirius wouldn't be proven innocent.
She shot sparks in the grass after the rat, until he was out of view. She had let him get away. Sirius didn't deserve this.
Ever.
Not only did Ophelia let Sirius down, she also let Harry down.
She couldn't save him.
Ok uh, let's pretend this chapter wasn't a mess. It was really rushed and I kinda didn't like writing it.
Anyways, we're done with poa now:) that means gof! I promise the writing in gof is going to be much more interesting and perfected compared to how it was so far. I was messy, I apologize.
