《LACUNA ✰ BNHA》45: REUNIONS

In which [Name] realizes that the world isn't as beautiful as it used to be.
_____
dusty battlefield, ready to fight the other villains. All Might was preoccupied with Fighting All For One.
Toga was the first to take a swing at [Name]. As she rushed forward, Bakugo and [Name] separated. The [h/c] haired girl successfully evaded Toga's knife slash by a couple centimeters, then proceeded to punch her in the face.
Relishing in her little moment of badass victory, [Name] smirked-but it was too soon. Another villain came rushing at her and kicked her straight in the stomach, sending her flying a couple feet back.
Wincing, the girl got up from the ground as her eyes refocused. Bakugo was in the corner, trying his best to fight while still side eyeing [Name] to make sure she was okay.
Shit... It's two against six... How are we gonna do this? They'll do anything to take us at this point, even if its by force...
Somehow, Bakugo and [Name] found their way back to each other as they threw punches, aimed explosions, and electrocuted plasma at the bodies of their offenders. However, once again back to back, the teens found themselves terribly fatigued and tired.
The villains surrounded them greedily. Bakugo was ready to fight more, but he could tell that the playing field was still heavily outmatched. He had to be smart.
But a sudden and loud explosion distracted him from his thoughts. [Name] tensed and gripped his hand tightly. The two looked above to see a wave of ice in the sky, and what seemed to be like...
"Deku!" [Name] cried as she saw his shaggy, green hair.
"Tch," Bakugo angrily clenched his jaw upon seeing Midoriya, Kirishima, and Iida flying across the sky.
"COME!" Kirishima screamed, holding his hand out.
"That's what she saiAAHHH!!!" [Name] was cut off as Bakugo grabbed her waist and pointed his hand downwards, channeling an explosion that shot them towards their friends.
As Kirishima grabbed Bakugo's hand, they were all sailing towards the air. Midoriya reached out for [Name] and grabbed her securely, feeling relieved to see his best friend back in his grasp again after worrying about her so much.
Bakugo and [Name] alternated in exerting forces of power to propel themselves through the air. Finally, they were safe.

But as [Name] looked back towards the battle zone, she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. All Might looked like he was really struggling.
Am I even worth struggling for though? I have so much blood on my hands...
_______
"YOU DIDN'T RESCUE ME, UNDERSTAND?!" Bakugo yelled angrily. "YOU JUST HAPPENED TO BE THE BEST ESCAPE ROUTE."
"Someone's on their period," [Name] rolled her eyes as she sat on the curb in front of the station.
The city was completely trashed. Midoriya was supposedly talking to Todoroki and Yaoyorozu on the phone. They had escaped as well. People were evacuating, and it was slightly chaotic.
[Name] gently put a hand over her heart. She was miles away from the danger at this point, but she could still feel her heart thumping loudly, her pulse rapid.
Kirishima noticed this and furrowed his eyebrows. He kneeled down in front of [Name] and gently took her hands.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his ruby eyes peering deep into her [e/c] ones. [Name] shuddered gently, her body growing numb to the pain of her physical and mental injuries for a quick moment.
His warm hands guided her back to the present, and she quickly pulled away, cheeks going slightly red.
"I'm fine, just a little battered up." She mumbled. Kirishima looked like he was about to say something, but the large screen in the center of the square displayed something shocking.
"What?"
"What's happening?"
"Why does he look like that?"
[Name] looked up and widened her eyes. On the screen was All Might, beaten and worn, in his weaker form. Now it was public to the whole world. Midoriya's face went pale.
However, after a long and intense fight, All Might ended up victorious. As the crowd was chanting his name, Midoriya started to cry. [Name] gently walked over and put a hand on his shoulder, not saying anything.
The moment felt surreal, but it was time to head back to their normal lives.
_______
"[Name]!"
As soon as the [h/c] haired girl walked onto the UA campus, she was embraced by her father. He held her tightly and protectively, gently running a hand through your hair.
"[Name], I'm so sorry, I'm sorry about everything I said, I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you. I spent so long trying to find you, they wouldn't let me fight for you, I'm so sorry..." He kept muttering quietly, tears threatening to spill over his eyes.

[Name] smiled and breathed in the familiar scent of her father, closing her eyes. It felt nice. She hadn't been able to close her eyes and feel safe for a while.
"I love you dad. Everything I said on the trip... I didn't mean it."
"I know." He said quietly. His voice was cold, but it was familiar and comforting. As he pulled away, [Name] winced as her neck suddenly stabbed with pain.
"You okay?" Aizawa asked, concerned.
"I'm fine," [Name] assured him. "I've just been having this weird, stabbing pain in my neck for a while."
"We'll get the doctors to check it out," Aizawa said. "And I know it may be annoying... But you and Bakugo need to go to the police for some statements and questions. I can come with you if you want."
[Name] glanced over at the blonde. He was very quiet, his eyes steely. He didn't seem sad, or mad... Just... Guilty? Disappointed?
"I think we'll be fine." [Name] whispered quietly.
_______
After answering some questions, [Name] walked out of the office behind Bakugo, whose fists had been clenched the entire time. The blonde was still silent, so [Name] awkwardly kept quiet as well, not wanting to set him off.
The campus was mostly empty by now. A few puffy clouds slowly loomed by as the sky gleamed of alternating scarlet and sakura colored swatches. It seemed peaceful, despite the disorderly day that the world had experienced today.
It's like a sign, that no matter what happens, everything will be okay.
[Name] tried to think of happy thoughts, but as Bakugo walked along ahead of her, she stopped and winced in pain, clutching her neck again.
But nothing's okay. That's the reality.
"Hey." A quiet and firm voice said from behind the [h/c] girl. [Name] jumped slightly and turned around to see Todoroki staring at her with no emotion on his face... As per usual.
"Hey Shoe toe. How ya doing? Thanks for helping save me and Bakugo by the way!" [Name] laughed softly, trying to maintain her usual lighthearted personality.
"You're tired. I can see the bags under your eyes."
"Heh, yeah. I'm pretty tired!" [Name] kept on smiling, but her eyes welled up with tears from the exhaustion and stress she had been put through the past 72 hours.
Todoroki's heart hurt as he watched the girl struggling to keep herself together.
Why does seeing her like this hurt me so much?
"You're hurt. Come on." Todoroki muttered, gently putting a hand on the girl's back. He walked with her to a small clinic just down the street in total silence. It was comfortable silence.
Upon entering the doctor's room, after a general inspection and some casts, bandaids, and clean ups, [Name] was ready to go home.
"Miss Aizawa." The doctor said. "There seems to be a puncture wound behind your head. Let me dress that for you."
"I'll call my father's driver while you do that." Todoroki stated. He stepped outside.
"It feels like there's something in there..." [Name] said.
"Well, if there was, it would have shown up on the scan. It looks like whatever stabbed you there cleanly came out. Come back if its still bothering you after one week." The doctor stated. "Okay, you're good to go."
"Thank you," [Name] greeted. She walked outside to see a fancy sports car.
"Fancy schmancy," The girl muttered tiredly, trudging towards Todoroki, who was holding the door open for her.
Just a few minutes into the ride, [Name] had already fallen asleep on the boy's shoulder.
"[Name]... you're very complicated." He said with a blank face. As he stared at the girl, he instinctively wrapped his arm around her, looking out the window as the street lights and neon signs blurred by.
"I've never met anyone like you."
