《LACUNA ✰ BNHA》37: IT BE YA OWN FATHER.

In which [Name] tries to make remedial classes not so shitty, and realizes... It really do be ya own father. Alexa, play Moonlight, uh-
_______
she was not the happiest person on Earth. In fact, Kirishima literally had to drag her screaming to the classroom where remedial classes were being held.
"Welcome, class. Now, all of you have something in common." Aizawa started, also annoyed with the fact that he had to be awake teaching dumb fucks at this ungodly hour.
"Wait, y'all like shoving jellybean bags up your asses too? D-"
"[Name], please." Aizawa grunted as Kaminari tried to snort dust off the desks like cocaine.
"Now, we will start by writing an essay on why you think you failed the exam, where you can improve, and what you would like to work on. It doesn't have to be too long."
Everybody groaned in response, the three loudest being Sero, Kaminari, and Mina.
[Name] stared at her paper for about 20 minutes. When she finally snapped out of her trance, she realized that everyone else who was taking the remedial classes had written something, and Aizawa was already collecting them.
Oh shid oh shid, The female thought as she frantically wrote whatever useless junk surfaced in her mind.
"Kirishima. Why don't you read your essay up front?" Aizawa said. The redheaded boy nodded and walked to the front of the room.
"I think I failed the exam because I need to be more confident with my quirk so I can do more things with it. I hesitated a lot, and that caused my downfall. I think I can improve on learning new moves with my quirk and being strong and confident with everything I do. I should probably work on using my quirk in different ways."
Everyone clapped and the redheaded boy blushed before heading back to his seat next to his favorite girl, [Name].
"Alright, [Name]... You're next."
Maybe it was the absolutely beauty of Kirishima's speech or how terrifyingly sad and depressing her speech was going to be, but either way, [Name]'s eyes were filled with tears as she stood up and walked to the front of the room.
"I just wanted to say, when I lost, I thought of my Idol, X. He always kept me sane in times of utter chaos, so of course I had to tribute this essay to him." She said.

Silence.
"Is that it?" Aizawa sighed, massaging his forehead.
"No wait, one more thing. Ahem! Spotlight, uh, Moonlight uh-"
"[Name] go sit down right now. Mina, please hand me the adderall."
_______
"Bakugo, you will plunge your hands into boiling water to expand your sweat glands, and then create large explosions."
"Bruh," Todoroki whispered to himself, looking like a traumatized, drowned cat.
Meanwhile, [Name] snorted too loud by accident and started choking on her own saliva.
As everyone split up, [Name] couldn't help but notice how hot the two boys looked. Bakugo, with his look of intense concentration and fiery yelling, and Todoroki, with his gorgeous muscles out for everyone to see. He smacked the platform he was on and it erupted in ice.
"Smack me like that half n half creamer," [Name] smirked. Ochaco, who was nearby, widened her eyes.
"[Name], do you like Todoroki? Or do you just want to be impaled with an icicle, because me too!" The brunette said excitedly.
"Oh honey."
"Well, it's back to work for me." Ochaco said sadly, climbing into a plastic ball and hurling herself off a cliff. (Yes, this is canon bitches.)
"You too, [Name]." Aizawa said sternly. "I thought we should do something different... So you're going to fight me."
The girl immediately stood up straight, widening her eyes.
"W-What?!" She squeaked?
"Starting.. NOW!"
The black haired man quickly released his bandages. [Name] widened her eyes, surprised that it was happening so quickly. She had no time to jump away, and Aizawa's bandages wrapped around her ankle tightly.
The female protagonist widened her eyes as she was suddenly flung into the air. The bandages let go of her, and she was basically yeeted through the atmosphere.
"Not cool, we live in a society," [Name] glared at the dot below that resembled Aizawa. She fought against the wind pressure and pushed her hands in front of her, generating plasma on her palms. As she flew down to the ground again, she blasted up a bit so she wouldn't slam into the Earth and landed safely.
Aizawa barely wasted any time. He ran closer to her, and the two engaged in hand to hand combat. He swept his leg under [Name]'s, and the girl fell into the hard Earth.

By now, most of class 1-A and B were watching attentively, wondering how this match between father and daughter was going to turn out.
"It be like that," [Name] mumbled into the ground as she stood up quickly. Facing Aizawa again, she smirked as plasma encased her fist. Launching it towards Aizawa's face, the girl smirked with satisfaction as she got a hit, although she made sure it didn't cause too much damage.
Aizawa grabbed her arm, but she yanked it away and punched his chest as she felt adrenaline run through her veins. Everything was going in her favor, until she suddenly saw a flash of red, and the plasma covering her body whisked away in the air like smoke.
"He.. Erased her quirk!" [Name] heard someone whisper. She gritted her teeth as she blocked against punches, kicks, blows, hits, from her father.
"You're weak." He glared down at her.
"Calm down!!" [Name] hissed, getting frustrated. He didn't expect her to win against him full power, right? Yet here he was, acting like Shaggy or some shit and going at her with every bit of his strength.
"No. You're weak and you're lazy."
Another punch to her cheek.
"You expect everything to go right for you, yet don't want to do the work."
A kick, right to her stomach.
"You don't care about being a hero. You might as well back out now."
A slam to her chest.
"You were lucky enough to come here when you could have easily been left to die. Now start being serious about what you do." Aizawa said in a cold, unfamiliar voice.
A sickening crack as she was uppercut in the jaw. The girl widened her eyes and staggered backwards, collapsing into the dirt. Anger rushed through her veins, and everyone was deathly silent as she picked herself up.
"Fuck you," She hissed venomously, as she stormed off to the cabins with tears pouring out of her eyes, trying desperately to hide how much his words hurt her. Aizawa merely shook his head with an unreadable emotion on his face. He had to do it. She had to get serious about being a hero, or it would only lead to her getting hurt.
And it was better that she got hurt now, rather than later.
_______
"Hey [Name], please come out! You need to treat your injuries!" Midoriya's soft voice said from outside the door. He got no response and took a deep breath.
[Name] had locked herself in her room 3 hours ago. Midoriya had rushed to her room right as she stormed off, but she refused to open the door. He eventually backed off and gave her some space. Bakugo, Kirishima, Kaminari, and even Todoroki had tried to visit, but she wouldn't open the door for them either.
The green haired boy couldn't bear it. If she was sad, he felt it too. It was only normal for him to feel that way, since the two had known each other for so long and had basically been raised next to each other. Besides, he was worried to death that she was suffering the pain of her injuries.
He picked the lock and opened the door.
The cabin was clean, and the large window sparkled as the afternoon sun rays trickled into the cabin, warming it up. The blades of grass in the area sparkled with a glimmering glaze of dew, and besides a couple birds chirping, the scene was completely quiet.
[Name] lay on her bed, staring emotionlessly out the window. Her eyes were red and puffy, but no sobs echoed from her mouth. In fact, she was completely quiet.
"[Name]." Midoriya whispered, sitting next to the female. He bit his lip, unsure of what to say to her. After trying to find something to say, and finding nothing- the boy simply reached a hand out and started to play with the girl's hair.
With the comforting feeling and the presence of Midoriya next to her, [Name] suddenly felt alive again.
But she did nothing except keep staring and thinking about how everything that was said... Was true. And denying it would mean she was lying to herself.
Eventually, she turned around and faced Midoriya's chest. He radiated warmth and comfort, and although her body ached and her heart hurt, she fell asleep in his arms, feeling okay for just one second.

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P

Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.

Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
