《LACUNA ✰ BNHA》13: EXPOSED

In which [Name] gets exposed. Badly.
_______
you could literally make anyone do anything! Not in a bad way of course..."
Shinsou and [Name] walked down the street towards her house. He was mainly silent while [Name], who had a big fat mouth, kept chattering on. Shinsou mostly just glanced at her emotionlessly here and there. He was slightly amused by how she went from talking about General Studies to her favorite Roblox Murder Mystery game. Surprisingly, Shinsou was enjoying her company, although he contributed nothing to the coversation-even though he would have loved to talk about Roblox anyday. He would die before making a friend in the Hero Course.
All I have to do is walk her home, then thot begone! The lavender haired boy thought with relief.
PLUNK.
"Shit, it's raining. Let's run," [Name] said, but Shinsou suddenly grabbed her arm and observed her. [Name] was already bruised and scratched up from the USJ incident yesterday. Although Shinsou wasn't there himself, he heard that it was very intense. Plus, with the villain that tried to attack her today, she needed to rest, and running in the rain may put her at risk of infection.
"No. The bandages I put on your head and shoulders will get wet. We should wait in there." The purple haired male pointed towards a cozy, rustic coffee shop on the side of the street. [Name] nodded and sniffled in the cold, gratefully walking towards the warm looking building.
As the two entered, they found that it was almost empty. People usually didn't go to coffee shops at 11:00 AM. There were just 3 or 4 in the large area. Shinsou and [Name] took a seat at a plush booth after telling the baristas their orders.
The two sat in silence, both a little awkward. Now that [Name] was tired, the conversation had halted.

"Here's your black coffee with no sugar and milk," The barista set Shinsou's drink down and [Name] raised an eyebrow.
"Damn, you really be out here drinking hot, bitter bean water," [Name] commented.
"And here's your Rainbow Cotton Candy Cloud Frappuccino with extra caramel drizzle, extra sugar, and sprinkles on top." The barista said as she set down a large drink that just looked fucking chaotic.
"Uhm.. Thanks." The (h/c) haired girl said, narrowing her eyes at the barista. I mean, did she really have to expose [Name] like that?
"Damn, you really be drinking something that looks like a Unicorn wet farted all over it." Shinsou commented back, and [Name] snorted.
"Bruh sound effect," [Name] said, tears of joy in her eyes as she sipped her diabetes in a cup. "Dude, has anyone told you that you look like purple haired Rick from Rick and Morty?"
_______
After the two had finished their drinks and paid, (Shinsou offered to pay but [Name] insisted she pay for her own drink) the pair of teenagers stood up.
"I'm still walking you home," Shinsou said under his breath.
"You don't have to.. I know you don't like me very much..." [Name] said slowly and softly. Surprised by her change of tone, Shinsou looked at the shorter girl to find her nervously playing with the hem of her shirt, face down, looking slightly sad.
The great Hero Course Student he had heart about, [Name], was insecure?
He immediately felt guilty, something he couldn't understand. Why would he feel guilty about someone he didn't care about? It was his fault she felt like she was a burden, but usually with others Shinsou could care less.
"It's fine. I enjoy your.. Company. You're cool," Shinsou choked out, cheeks dusting slightly pink. He hated every single word he said because he hated sharing his feelings like that, but they were true.

"Are you sure about that? It sounds like you were choking on something."
"Uhm, your shoulder is bleeding again," Shinsou pointed out quickly, his goal to change the subject. The bandages covering [Name]'s shoulders were now stained red.
"Shit! I'll be right back, let me go to the bathroom and clean it up." The (h/c) haired girl said quickly, walking away. The lavender haired boy nodded in reply and pulled out his phone to pass time while [Name] was in the bathroom. Until a certain news article caught his eye.
_______
After washing her wounds, [Name] stared deep into the mirror for a couple seconds and took a deep breath before walking back outside to meet up with Shinsou again.
"Hey I'm back, that blood was nutting all over me real fast so- Huh, what's wrong?" [Name] cocked her head upon seeing Shinsou.
His face was slightly in shock as he stared at [Name] with slightly wide eyes.
"[Name]... You never told me you're the daughter of Eraserhead... And... You might want to read this news article..."
The (h/c) haired girl's felt a pang of anxiety in her heart as she grabbed Shinsou's phone and scrolled through the page.
More information on the U.A villain invasion-the villains were after a certain student in the class, [Name] Aizawa. The supposed 'secret' daughter of Pro Hero Eraserhead. We have asked Eraserhead for comment but the hospital he is currently at says he is not allowed any visitors due to his health condition, and U.A staff says he or any other teachers area not available for comment. Although the information is covered, [Name] is said to have had the surname "[L/N]" before she had her name legally changed. Her previous surname links to tragedy incidents in other regions. Why are villains after this particular girl? What is she hiding?
[Name] grew visibly pale while reading the article, and she started trembling slightly. Being reminded of her childhood trauma wasn't a very comforting feeling. The girl broke out into a cold sweat.
"E-excuse me, I have to go now-" The girl stumbled slightly as she reached the door.
"Wait, you shouldn't go out alone-"
"B-bye Shinsou, it was nice hanging out with you today-I'll talk to you later, I just have to g-get home right now-"
"Wait!"
But the lavender haired man couldn't do anything, because the girl was gone in a flash.

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
