《LACUNA ✰ BNHA》10: HANDYMAN

In which [Name] sacrifices herself to protect a friend.
__________
with a buff, tall man. She gulped as the man picked her up by the neck, wasting no time. As the girl struggled to breathe, she suddenly panicked she realized that she couldn't gather energy in her palms.
Although it rarely happened, sometimes when [Name] was in a state of extreme panic and disorientation, her quirk either wasn't able to activate or activate when she didn't want it to.
Did she really even want to resist death? After her parents were gone, what did she have to live for?
The girl made no attempt to escape the villain as he squeezed her vulnerable neck tighter with his meaty hands. Right when she started seeing black and purple spots, she was suddenly knocked to the ground by something.. Or rather someone. The villain that was previously choking her fell to the ground, passed out.
"GET UP YOU STUPID BITCH!" A loud yell bounced off the walls. The (h/c) haired female's ears perked up at the familiar voice, and his fiery personality warmed her slightly.
"R-Right, sorry!" [Name] widened her eyes and immediately jumped up. She didn't have time to wallow in her own pit of crippling anxiety and komaeda despair, she had to help her friends. Help her father.
"[Name], are you okay?" The female heard another frantic call to her left. Kirishima.
"I-I'm gucci!" [Name] said with a determined tone. She took a deep breath and immediately felt her lungs expand with more oxygen as the plasma in her blood started to make its way to her palms.
"DIEEE!" Bakugo screamed as he lit an explosion that blasted two villains into the wall.
"Still the drama queen I see," [Name] lightly joked as she punched a dark blue haired villain straight in the gut. He groaned and crumpled to the floor, probably internally bleeding.
As Kirishima finished pummeling a villain into the ground, the three stood up. [Name] was finally able to analyze her location. They seemed to be in an empty building. As she looked at the gray and gloomy decaying walls, she found herself wanting to leave the building as soon as possible.
"That's it? They're so weak!" Bakugo said, breathing a little heavily.
"We should help the others! I'm worried about those with defensive quirks..." Kirishima said.

Bakugo then turned to [Name] and stared at her for a second. He hadn't seen [Name] ever give up on life-but he did now, and it was one of the most disturbing moments he witnessed. The way she just... Let herself almost die like that. It bothered him.
What the hell was that about? Was she just going to let herself... like that? Dammit! I wish I knew what the hell was going on in your mind [Name]! Don't tell me you're fucking suicidal or some shit like that! I'll kill you myself, bitch! B-But it's not like I care about you or anything! Baka!
As Kirishima continued to talk about their plans, [Name] zoned out. She mentally chided herself for not doing anything in the hands of the villain that was attacking her. If she wanted to help her father, she had to step it up. It was quite a disappointment, really.
But now she was motivated.
"I'll go with you, Kirishima." The female stated. "I want to help you, and I want to help Aizawa-sensei."
Bakugo shot her a suspicious look but grunted, "You two can do what you want to do, but I'm going to kill that warp gate thing. And do you have some teacher student relationship with him or something? You know, like that Wattpad fanfiction shit?"
"What? You're really going to act childish at a time like this? And dude, that's so gross, everyone knows All Might is the thiccest teach-"
"ShUT IT, Shitty Hair!" Bakugo raged. As the two were arguing, [Name] suddenly felt something move behind her, but when she turned around she couldn't see anything.
It was another villain, she was sure of it. Subtly, she started to gather energy in her palms. Wait for another movement, and then... There! As the invisible villain lunged for Kirishima and Bakugo, [Name] quickly blasted it with her plasma.
The sound of the loud explosion brought the two boys out of their argument. They looked at the ragtag girl who was breathing heavily, her palms slightly burnt from Quirk Overuse. She looked a little pale, but had a smirk across her face.
"Come on thotties, let's get this villain bread."
__________
Kirishima and [Name] dashed on ahead to find the others while Bakugo separated from the two. He wanted to find the warp gate villain, but a certain (h/c) haired female had a disturbing thought plaguing her mind.

She couldn't help but wonder how her father was doing- Oh god, what if something had gone wrong? The girl knew her father's quirk wasn't good for long term use. Had she ever even called him 'father?' told him she loved him? Because she did, even though she rarely showed it.
He helped her through her dark thoughts and nightmares. He made her forget her past. And he couldn't just leave the world without knowing how much [Name] loved him.
"Aghh!"A pained cry came from the center of the facility.
[Name] stopped dead and paled, recognizing it. She dashed to the center of USJ, and to her horror, saw her father beaten, bloody, and bruised.
The thing that was currently attacking him looked like something straight out of a horror movie-it was a hideous beast creature. The most disturbing thing about it was the way its brain was out in the open and visible. The soft, tender parts of its organ were slimy, pulsing, and oozing. It made [Name]'s weak stomach feel nauseous, but there was no time to feel sick now. Her father was in trouble.
"A-Aiza-"
Kirishima slammed a hand over the (e/c) eyed female's mouth and dragged her back a little, pulling her down. She struggled in his grip for a couple seconds, but then relaxed. There was no time to be rash and childish. She couldn't just barge into any battle she wanted to-she had to have a plan.
It seemed like the main enemy (the blue haired man with severed hands on his face) didn't notice [Name].
"In the presence of my great power, you might as well be quirkless." She heard the edgy Handyman scoff. "But there is someone in this very facility with even greater power than me... And I need them. You know who I'm talking about, right.."
[Name] cocked her head with curiosity. Someone in the building was even more powerful than the leader of this group of villains? If he wasn't referring to Aizawa, who was it?
"I'd die before I let you have h- AGH!" Aizawa yelled out in pain again as [Name] widened her eyes and twitched. Watching this happen was killing her.
In a flash, the Warp Gate Villain was standing next to the Handyman one. [Name] widened her eyes and cursed under her breath. Even if it was possible to get by Handyman and that Ugly Beast, her hopes were crushed now. 3 villains against her and Kirishima? They definitely wouldn't survive.
"Let's go home now." The Handyman suddenly said. [Name] didn't hear the context or why he said that, but she gasped softly in surprise. Would they just leave now?
"But before we leave... We have to get what we came for."
In a blur, a palm was held in front of [Name]'s head. She didn't even sense it-but now, a cold, dark hand was close to gripping her skull. She saw what this man's quirk did to her father's arm. One touch of all his fingers and she would be a goner.
"LET GO OF HER!" A loud scream came from behind Handyman. [Name], stunned, looked behind to see Izuku. And he looked MAD. As he lunged towards Handyman, his body started flaring a shining pink color.
Lots of dust and water flew everywhere as the green haired boy punched, and as it cleared, Izuku was face to face with the scary beast creature.
"IZU! GET OUT OF THERE!" The female screamed, trying to scramble to the battle scene. The beast creature started to reach for Midoriya's head. There was no doubt that the second he grabbed it, he would crush it like a raw egg.
She didn't even notice her feet moving. She launched herself in front of Izuku. Maybe it was a habit from when they were young. Her body completely covered his, giving him a chance to save himself.
I'm not going to watch anyone die!
But before anything could happen, a huge gust of wind billowed into the facility. The door burst open, and in stomped a tall figure, standing in a whirlwind of glory.
"Everything is fine... Because I'm here!"
He wasn't smiling. His face held more of a grimace than any cheerful expression, but everyone was relieved to see him.
"[Name]..." The girl heard Izuku mumble her name. She turned around to see Izuku, tears in his green eyes. He hugged the girl tightly, protectively tucking her head into his warm, safe chest.
"God, don't you ever do that again."

Project Pegasus: An Airplane Crashed into Me So I've Been Reincarnated as a Skeleton
“Where am I?” The place seemed familiar yet my head ached each time I tried to remember it. “This place is kinda creepy.” Wait, what happened to the school? “There should be a plane crash around here somewhere. Also, why am I still alive?” Or maybe... This is the afterlife? “Wait. Nevermind that.” “How in the world could a plane even crash on me like that?” As I stood, I got a glimpse of my right hand touching the ground. “AHHHHHHHHH---!!!” There was no flesh. “Sh*t. What is this?! Why are my hands just bones?! Am I decomposing?! It doesn’t seem to hurt though.” Just like normal, I could feel my heart beating faster, however, as I touched my chest, I felt my fingers sliding through the intervals of my ribs; my heart was gone. “Aaaaah!” As I panicked, I heard a girl’s voice behind me. “Ahm... Suddenly, something touched my right shoulder. My body froze. Slowly, I looked at it; I saw a hand wrapped in white bandage.
