5. Avoid flirting with other people.
ㅡYour partner might think you don't care about their feelings, or about the relationship! It's not like you need to stop talking to everyone else, but if you're constantly smiling and touching someone else, then your partner might feel hurt.
Of all the steps that he'd come across with, this was the least infuriating and the most obvious one. For one, it wasn't something that forced him into behaving like someone else entirely, and for the second-mentioned term-
He was committed to you the moment that you'd acclaimed that you reciprocated the feelings that he harbored for you, perhaps even earlier than the aforestated event. He had no intentions to evoke breakage apropos to the trust that you had placed in him and no way in hell would he let some greasy skank replace your spot in his-
Fuck. If there was one thing that he didn't like about you, it's the fact that you always made him act so cheesy, so foolish, and...
ㅡso enamored like an inebriated fool. Though, much to his dismay (not really), he didn't really mind it that much, especially since you were the instigator of all this.
Bakugou grunted as he lied flush on his mattress, remaining idle with his gaze fixed on the ceiling above him. His arm was underneath his head, with his free hand holding the phone that he'd just recently used to read all the stupid guides that were out there to guide males like him into becoming a good boyfriend.
He knew. Every word that you'd told him was etched on his mind after all, from the varieties of food that you liked, to your favorite brand of shampoo, and all the other niches that you'd had including your strange fixation on mechanical keyboards, with the last one still baffling him to no end.
He knew. He knew that you'd told him to stop wasting time on these tutorials, and granted that that might be the case, he was... Shit, this was so hard to admit, even in his own mind.
He was scared.
He was scared that you might leave him for someone as perfect as that IcyHot when you arrived at the conclusion that he was too much for you, that he wasn't the person who you had expected him to be. This was also the first time that he was so enraptured by someone that he wasn't able to obtain coherent and intelligible thoughts so... he didn't know what to do. And these thoughts were enough to fuel his drive into becoming the person that would best fit you.

That would best fit someone as perfectly imperfect as you.
"Why the fuck am I being so mushy?" He rasped as he tried to close his eyes and mayhaps drift off into dreamland even if he was hours away before his bedtime. He'd just finished lifting those weights, yet those amounted to nothing compared to the weariness that was gradually consuming him as a whole due to his internal monologuings.
However, a knock on his door had stopped him from doing just that.
"Get away, you goddamn extras. I don't have the time to waste around you shitheads," he growled loud enough to scare whoever that was just outside his doorway.
"Should I be hurt that you just called your girlfriend an 'extra' and a 'shithead'?"
Shit.
He flew out of his bed and as quickly as he could, rushed towards the wooden block that you had just rapped your knuckles on, his device long forgotten. Not long after, his red eyes had met your e/c orbs that he had grown to li-
Stop being so fucking cheesy.
"The hell are you doing here?" His deep and throaty voice met your ears before you simpered in return, offering no words and just waltzing into his dorm room as if it was yours. Well, considering the fact that you'd gone here regularly that you'd lost count of the frequency of your stays, in a way, it kind of was.
"I just missed my boyfriend. Isn't that enough of a reason for me to come here?" And you subsequently plopped yourself on his bunk without a care in the world, his intoxicating scent wafting through your senses as you buried your face into his pillow before consequently choosing to stay unmoving.
You felt the bed dip on your side, and you needn't look to find out who the perpetrator was. "It hasn't even hours since we've last seen each other, woman. The fuck kind of shit you're on?" He uttered huskily, though his tone held no malice. He'd always liked your unannounced visits, but he was the Bakugou Katsuki and it would take him millions of light-years before he'd even contemplate professing that.
"As vulgar as ever. This is why I-"
"What?" Why'd you stopped talking? Bemusement had arisen, before he had connected those damned thoughts together.
He had left his phone on his bed when he righted himself to open the door... And you were now perched atop his former spot, right where he had set down that damned tech. His classmates had praised him for being such an intellectual, but it seemed that his brain cells had decreased without him being cognizant of it.

"3 ways to be a good boyfriend," you hummed as you scrolled down the website, taking in the step-by-step procedures it had presented. You had an inkling of suspicion with how he was acting the previous days. All of it was seemingly calculated, and it didn't take you long awhile ago to come up with a conclusion as to why Katsuki, even if it might not seem like it to an outsider's eye, was out of character.
"'Tsuki, when will you ever learn?" You heaved out a sigh as you peered at him, the slight rouge dusting his cheeks, and the way his teeth were gritted so tightly greeted your eyes. "Didn't your momma teach you to not snoop around on other people's belongings?" He made no move to snatch the phone out of your clutches. Why would he? You'd already found him out and it wasn't like the memory of you deducing this out would be wiped out from your brain if he were to enact on the said procedure.
"Yes, and my momma also taught me to never listen to what strangers say," you refuted before clicking your tongue, taking ahold of his arm, and pulling him en route to you. "Hey!" He vociferated, with other profanities making their way out of his parted lips. It took a few minutes before he'd calmed down, with him being spooned by you as you played with his hair.
Contrary to popular belief, his tresses were as soft as silk. Despite its spiky appearance, your digits had glided through them with ease, and to add to that fact, it also smelled vaguely of mint. You expected for him to smell like caramel, but he did assert to you that what he sweated was akin to nitroglycerin, but not the chemical per se. Hm, it's not like you were griping. Not at all.
"Other people's relationships are different from ours, and what works for them may not work for ours and vice versa. So, for the love of God, Katsuki, stop relying on these idiotic web pages," you rebuked him, and much to your stupefaction, he hadn't even moved an inch.
And then he finally spoke.
"It's not like I'm doing this because I want to."
"Then why-"
"I'm doing this because I have to."
You were perplexed, bewildered, and baffled at what he'd voiced out. You were just about to question him for one more time, but it appeared that you didn't have to because he continued on his own without your egging.
"I'm not dumb. My personality leaves a lot to be desired and I fucking know as hell that girls don't really dig up this type of shit. I'm..." He said the succeeding term so quietly that you didn't manage to hear it, but you were aware very well in regard to what it was. "You'll come to realize that I'm not worth your time unlike that Half-and-Half fuckwad that everyone likes for no apparent reason." So even if he was venting out on you like this, he still wasn't able to see Todoroki in a positive light, or for all one knows, he already did but was too prideful to admit it.
Nevertheless, you appreciated Katsuki for opening up to you. Spilling your feelings to someone was difficult, that much you knew, moreso when you were not used to accomplishing such feat. Thus, it warmed your heart to latch on to the notion that he trusted you enough to be in his vulnerable state.
"Todoroki may possess great intellect, strength, and power," Katsuki scoffed.
"But the thing is... I love you, and not him. There's no need for you to compare yourself to him when you're the one who's managed to elicit all these emotions within me." You cupped his cheeks and made sure that he was face-to-face with you. From one look at him, you could immediately tell that he was feeling conflicted. He wanted to believe you, yet at the same time, his insecurities were obstructing him from doing so.
Closer and closer, you leaned in, and you were able to perceive the way his breath had hitched. You planted your lips on the side of his mouth, before pulling away with a teasing simper plastered on your countenance.
"We'll share our first kiss with each other when the time comes that you're no longer depending on WikiHow."
"Hah! Is that a challenge?"
"Perhaps so."
And the night was spent with you two chatting mindlessly about things. You unequivocally loved spending moments like this one with him, and you could only hope that he'd felt the same thing.
He did.

Binary Soul
