8. Make it be known that you like that person
ㅡ Progress wouldn't occur if you just sit out and hoped that the person you'd like would notice all your actions- they might even think of it all as a friendly gesture! So make it be known what your true intentions are.
This is it. The day he would confess. Who would've have known that this'd be so nerve-wracking, heck, it's even making him fucking more nervous than the fight he had, alongside with Deku, against All Might.
School is just a few hours away and he kept knocking himself off on the head to atleast come up with some kind of answer unto what he should do. He was knowledge-less and he hated that. He wanted it to be great, for only the best of the best must be given to you.
And before he knew it, he was standing right beside his mother as he washed the dishes. He readied himself to ask, and it would fucking help him if his mother wouldn't just tease him all day long and in the process, no process would've been made.
"Hey, shithag..." He muttered, and his mother picked up his words even if it was so low. "What is it?" She asked, curious as to why her son suddenly spoke up to her.
"How do... how do you fucking confess?"
And that was it before all hell broke loose. In just a second, he was in the grasps of his mother as she pinched his cheeks, ruffled his hair, and continuously do things that set him right off the edge. Of course, it also didn't help that he was also feeling quite a bit flustered.
"Aww, is it for that girl you've been on a date with?! Ah, my little boom boom kid is finally growing up!" And at that, he started to pull himself away from her. He should've known thag this was a bad idea. "Just forget it." Before he was able to do what he wanted, his mother's grasps were tightened enough so that he wouldn't be able to escape.

"No can do! We must brainstorm together- and knowing you, you'd just end up with a shitty confession because of your shitty personality!"
And after that, the rest of the remaining few hours was spent on him bantering back and forth with his mother. He could only hope that things would go well. If only he knew.
.
.
It was almost lunch time, and his eyes would continuously dart towards your form before looking at something else in hopes that he wouldn't be caugh. Shit, he's nervous! He couldn't do this- Ehat if you were to reject him?! What if– and numerous other ones started to pile in his head, and of course, you weren't stupid to keep a blind eye to all of his actions.
You smirked inwardly as you listened to the lesson Present Mic was currently giving to all you students. A few ticks of the hands of the clock, and it would mean lunch break would commence.
'Now, if I would anatically look at it, he's bound to be in Step 8 now...' You thought to yourself. How you would've known? The damn fool foiled over his own plans. Within the time you've been with him on your date, it was idiotic for him to leave his phone with his browser on– as if he didn't think that you wouldn't be able to read what kind of article it was.
And lo and behold, it was:
You weren't naive nor you weren't oblivious to the fact that Bakugou may have a little crush on you. I mean, who wouldn't if someone as explosive as him just tried to sneak his fingers into intertwining with yours? You almost laughed at the thought. Freakin' adorable.
And soon enough, the familiar ring of the bell rang out. Just before Bakugou was able to waltz out of the room, you called out for him. The class remained there, anticipating on what would happen. They didn't know why, but all of them had an intituition that something big would happen, and they were right.

"Katsuki," you called out, and he stopped, not turning to look back at you. "What?" He grumbled out, not turning for he was scared of you seeing his unusual flustered expression.
"I like you."
Huh? What?
And it was silent. Everyone just kind of zoned out. How were you able to be that blunt?! Heck– how were you able to just straight up tell someone that you like them, in front of a whole population even?! It was bizarre, if they were to truly be honest.
With those three words, everything stopped for Bakugou. Was he hearing things right? Or was he just having delusional thoughts after all those sleepless nights that you'd given him? Or was he just- And with all those kind of thoughts swirling around his head, he didn't hear your footsteps heading towards him.
The class stared in anticipation, no one attempting to open their mouths. After all, this was such an event that is yet to be seen by any of them in real life. They only thought that these things only happened in the movies.
You placed a hand on his shoulder as you leaned in, your mouth exceptionally close to his ear, and with his heightened senses, he felt how your hot breath pricked his skin and it was enough to send jolts of different tingles along his spine.
What were you about to do now- ah, you were unpredictable! He hated it and at the same time, he loved it. He loved how you would send him smiles and his stomach would just feel as if it would explode from all the butterflies it contained. He loved how you were just so- kind even in your own way. Your mild delinquency just matched with his own brash personality and was enough to have him googoo over gaagaa for you.
"I think it's so foolish for you to depend on WikiHoe. I like you just the way you are," you whispered as you leaned in close.
Fuck WikiHow. Fuck everything- that'd be the last time he'd go on that website.
Yet in just a few days away, his fingers typed out these words:
Google: how 2 be a good fuckin boyfriend
And in the first search results appeared:
a fucking WikiHow article.

The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one. Schedule: Story has been completed. Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB. Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon. Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.
8 170A Standard Model of Magic
The world ended, and magic came back. The part our parents didn't expect, was for Science to break on reentry. Twenty years after the apocalypse, with our nations dismantled and hidden continents unearthed, a new generation has grown up in the wreckage of 21st century civilization. For us, the fantastic is at our doorstep and we have had no choice but to fight back. Meanwhile, the laws of nature bend and break at the whims of immortal gods, all of which are now dead and none of which are content to stay that way. But we cannot afford to give up. We are the stewards of a rewritten century, in which a little luck and a whole lot of magic might make anything possible – maybe even a world better than the one we lost. A Standard Model of Magic is a complete overhaul of my old story A Storm in the Fall. I'm afraid I was unhappy with the LitRPG elements, which I don't mind reading, but I apparently loath writing. Sorry. Once I'd made the choice to decouple the story from the OF that inspired it and reconfigure the magic system to my satisfaction, little of the original plotline survived. I will be salvaging most of my original characters, and I will keep some elements which are endemic to the genre, but that is all. I don't have an update schedule which I can commit to yet, but I will try to maintain a weekly pace.(This is currently RoyalRoad exclusive, since I'm lazy. If you find it posted elsewhere, it wasn't me and it wasn't with permission) If you're interested, I've set up a discord.
8 198A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
