"objection" wyatts lawyer said. i looked to finns "it's okay" he mouthed.

"miss y/n, how do you know my client, wyatt oleff is the man who assaulted and harassed you?" "well that night i remember this man having brown curly hair, pale skin, and he had a slim build. and when my parents found wyatt waking around their yard and called the cops, just seeing him i knew. i knew it was him. everything matched up. "see y/n, now those characteristics you described are very generic. i mean think about it. doesn't your boyfriend over there have the same features? is it possible that-"

"OBJECTION" kate yelled. i looked at finn with a confused look. finn looked scared. did this man really just try to suggest that my bestfriend of over 15 years and my now pretty much boyfriend raped me? you're kidding. this guy is a joke. kate started talking. "i'm sorry but number one, you seriously think that this girls bestfriend of over 15 years and her now significant other sexually assaulted her at a party he didn't even attend? and two, their families are also very good friends. if you have ever even talked to finn you woukd know he is a good person and would never have the heart to do anything to hurt his bestfriend. y/n, do you agree?" she said. "yes of course, i've known finn forever and the night of the party he was with jack. you know i find it so out of line to accuse my own boyfriend to rape me when we could've had sexual inter course whenever we wanted? sounds very uneducated coming from a lawyer ya?" i then heard laughs coming from the jury. then again, the gavel. the judge then asked me to talk about any other times i've come across wyatt.

"well i left school early one day, about 4-5 days later after the party because i wasn't feeling well. i went to chick-fil-a to get lunch. i got out of my car and went to walk in but there was a man with brown curly hair, pale skin, slim build, AND wearing the same exact hoodie he was wearing the night of the party. he had sunglasses on so i couldn't tell who it was but i knew it was him. he was staring at me through the window so i got back in my car and left. the next thing that happened was about a week or two later. i went to my open my locker and an envelope fell out. i opened it and inside there were pictures of me around my house, pictures of me and finn when we were in my room one night, and many more. which we have here today. kate brought the pictures of the judge who then passed them to the jury to look for themselves.

then about a month later i returned back to school after doing my work at home, i went to my locker in the morning. finn and jack were with me but i can't remember if sophia was or not. when i opened my locker another envelope fell out. the boys offered to read it but i wanted to. it said "am i not good enough? why cant you notice me like you notice him? what's so good about him? i've done so much. we've even had sex and you still cant see me? what does finn have that i don't?" which we also have here today. again, kate brought the letter up to the judge who passed it to the jury. about a couple weeks later finn wolfhard, who as we knew is here today, received a package addressed to him. he opened it and inside was a bloody tooth and nail clippings. it was the grossest thing i've ever seen. it was disgusting." i looked up to wyatt to see him look back down. then like 2-3 weeks after that sophia lillis who is also here told us about how she found a letter in here locker saying "i'm sorry about the four of you. hopefully finn will be next to jump off the y/n train." which kate is about to bring up to you." the note was passed around, repeating what had happened with the first two pieces of evidence. "i also had the lab run all those notes for fingerprints. we ran the tooth in dental records and as shocked as we were, the fingerprints and tooth registered to wyatt oleff." yes go kate go!

"any questions mr. webb?" mr.webb was wyatts lawyer. "um, no your honor, no further questions." FUCK YES.

"we will be taking a fifteen minute recess." said the judge. i stepped down from the stand and ran over to finn giving him a big hug. it feels so good just to touch him. "y/n you're doing amazing, i'm so proud of you" "thanks finn, but get ready because i know you're going to be up next." i said. i felt a tap on my shoulder to see jack and sophia. they both embraced me in a hug. then jack hugged me by himself but only to tell me something. he whispered in my ear and said "wyatts watching." i let go of jack and looked over to wyatt. and he smiled. he smiled. he seriously thinks he's done nothing wrong.

we all came back to the courtroom. "i would like to call someone else to the stand. finn wolfhard." i heard kate say. shit shit shit. finn stood up, held me hand, and let go before he walked up the stand. he put his hand on the bible and said "i swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth." he then sat down. mr. webb stood up and walked over to finn. "mr. wolfhard, have you ever had direct contact with mr. oleff?" "well there was this one time when i was walking in the hall with jack, y/n and sophia and someone pulled my backpack. i thought it was jack but i turned around and there was nobody there. i saw someone walking the opposite direction looking back at me a couple times but i couldn't really tell who it was." YUP THATS MY BOY!

"finn, is it true that you and miss y/l/n are taking part in a romantic relationship with each other?" i looked at y/n asking for reassurance. she nodded signaling me to say yes. "yes sir, that's true." "and how long have you been romantically involved?" "uh, i woukd say about two and a half months, almost three months." "okay mr. wolfhard. has y/n been staying with you since her assault?" "yes, she's been home with her parents for the last month because they're now home. her parents were on a business trip for the first 2-3 months after the assault." "finn, where we're you on the night of september 16th?" you've got to be fucking kidding me. "i was at my bestfriend jack grazers house, i stayed the night." "do you have an alibi" "yes sir i do, jack is here today. he can confirm." finn said looking over to jack. jack said "i can confirm finn was with me from about 6:00pm on the 16th to about 3:00 pm on the 17th." "thank you mr. grazer, no further questions." said mr.webb.

"thank you." finn said and walked back down from the stand. he sat back down behind me so i turned around and said "you did amazing love." he smiled then looked over to jack and high fived him. i know he's proud of himself and i am too.

mr. webb then said "i would also like to call someone up to the stand. ms. sophia lillis." oh jesus. i turned around and gave sophia a big smile "you got this babe" i said. she walked up to the stand. put her hand on the bible and said "i swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth."

she sat down and the questions already started.

"miss lillis, it appears from y/n's story you weren't there for about a month. is this true?" "yes sir, it is." she said. "and can you please tell us why you took a hiatus from your friends?" mr. webb asked. "yes. after y/n told me about when she was raped i felt horrible. i was the one at the party with her and i didn't even notice she wasn't there. i felt horrible. i wanted to help. so i called the cops. i told them what happened to y/n but i also asked to remain anonymous. i didn't want to see y/n miserable and feel unsafe all the time anymore. i wanted this to happen so y/n could get justice. she deserves it. this creep over her has put her through so much and all i want is to see him put away. anyways, after keeping the secret that i was the one who told the cops about y/n, i couldn't hold it in anymore. i ended up telling finn, then he told y/n and jack and they didn't talk to me for a couple weeks. that's why i told them about the note a week after i got it instead of right after i found it." "thank you miss lillis. no further questions, thank you."

sophia came to sit back down after me, finn, and jack gave her a hug.

but this trial isn't over. tomorrow wyatt will be telling his side. i'm horrified.
