《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》Jacob

I rode my motorcycle back home after spending the day at the pack house. I began pulling into the driveway to see Charlie's police cruiser. It's been a month since (Y/n)'s wedding. I hadn't heard anything from her. Haven't seen Charlie since then either. Been trying to keep myself occupied. Now seeing Charlie's here maybe I'll get an answer...

I ran into the house. Dad greeted me by the door.

"Hey, son."

"What's going on?" I ask curiously, hoping for any kind of news.

"(Y/n) called him." He said seriously. I looked up from him to Charlie and walked over to him.

"Hey, haven't seen you in a while." Charlie shook my hand. "You okay?"

"So you finally heard from (Y/n)?" I said ignoring his question about me. He nodded.

"They're extending their trip. Seem's she caught a bug. They want to wait until she feels better before they travel."

I could feel myself getting angry. Sick. I scoffed to myself.

"She's sick." I spat.

"Yeah, she told me not to worry, but she sounded... I don't know. Off?" Charlie looked concerned.

"She'll be okay, Charlie." Sue said setting the table in the kitchen. "Come on, let's eat."

No. I needed to know for myself. I couldn't keep running from the question constantly tearing through my mind whether or not she was okay. I tried to walk out before my Dad's arm caught mine stopping me from walking out the door.

"Jacob, let it go."

I ripped my arm from him and ran back outside. Jumping on my bike and speeding my way over to the Cullen household.

I walked up to the front door to be greeted by Carlisle. I barely waited for him to open the door before barging in. I needed answers.

"Is it true?" I asked gruffly.

"Hello, Jacob, how are you?"

"Listen, just give it to me straight." I basically begged.

"Jake? Is that you?" Her familiar voice called from another room in the house. I whipped my head around at the sound. Then looked back to Carlisle. "She's here?" I breathed out a sigh of relief knowing at least she didn't die, die.

"They came home two weeks ago." Carlisle said. I walked to the stairs prepared to see her looking not like her, to look different. "Jake." Carlisle called out behind me.

I came up to see the room filled with every single Cullen face, and they all looked distraught. Even Emmett, the big guy himself stood not so far away from the couch I assumed she was sitting on. Yet in front of her were two certain Vampires. One blonde and one brunette. Rosalie and a reddish gold eyed Bella. They both stood arms crossed protectively in front of (Y/n). I tried to look around them to see her.

"I'm glad you came." Her voice came out a little corse. I stepped closer and closer before being stopped by Bella's hand.

"Close enough." Rosalie stood her ground in front of (Y/n).

"What is your problem?" I huffed at her.

"Rose, Bella. It's okay." (Y/n) said.

I walked with ease between the two women. Taking a seat on the coffee table. I looked at my best friend to see, she still had her (Y/e/c) eyes that I loved so much. Although she definitely didn't look... healthy. She was still her, bundled up in blankets, sitting on the couch. I breathed a breath of relief.

"You look terrible." I smiled at her. She shook her head and smiled back at me. I noticed she was nervous. She was twirling her fingers together. A nervous tick of hers that she's always had.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you, too." She scoffed with a grin.

"So, are you going to tell me what's wrong with you?" I asked softly.

She breathed in a deep breath.

"Rose, Bella, can you help me up?" She called out softly.

I looked at her curiously to see why she'd need help getting up. She threw the blanket off her while each of the girls went to her sides. My breathing hitched in my throat to see the large protruding belly she had. She looked skinny in the face and other areas besides her stomach. She fixed her shirt, pulling it down. I could see the bruises on her body just before she put the shirt down. She gave me a weak smile. I looked over to see a disappointed looking Emmett. I glared at him and angrily stalked over.

"You did this!" I snarled at him. Being stopped by Henry's hand against my shoulder before I got to close to him.

"We didn't know it was even possible." Carlisle said from behind me. I shoved Henry's hand off from me and turned to him.

"What is it?"

"I am not sure. Ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the embryonic sac." He said, face full of concern.

"I can't see it, either." Alice stepped forward. "And... I can't see (Y/n)'s future anymore."

(Y/n) sat back down on the couch carefully.

"We've been researching legends, but there's isn't much to go on." Edward said.

"What we do know. Is that it's strong and fast-growing." Carlisle added.

"Why haven't you done anything? Take it out of her!" I demanded angrily.

"This is none of your business, dog." Rosalie spat at me.

"Rose!" Esme scolded. "All this fighting isn't good for (Y/n)."

"The fetus isn't good for (Y/n)!" Alice said angrily.

"Say the word, Alice. 'Baby'. It's just a little baby." Rosalie snapped at her and they glared at one another. Jasper stepped forward.

"Possibly."

"Carlisle," I turned to the one of the Cullen's I actually could tolerate. "You've got to do something." I begged.

"No." Bella said angrily.

"It's not his decision. It's not any of your's." (Y/n) spoke as angrily as it sounded like she could muster.

The air in the room was tense. Emmett stepped forward.

"Jacob, I need to talk to you." He said in his usual gruff tone. He walked by me and out the back door. I followed him out into the woods.

"I always knew you'd destroy her." I spat bitterly at him. He turned around with a solemn expression.

"She thinks that Carlisle can turn her at the last minute... like he did for me and much of our other family." Emmett explained.

"Can he?"

"The probability is... slight. And if her heart fails..." He choked to get out any words. "Look, Jacob, I need you to do something for me." I scoffed, ready to walk away. "For her." He quickly changed his wording and I looked back at him. "You have a connection with her that I'll never understand. Maybe you could talk to her, change her mind. You could keep her alive..."

"And if I can't?" I asked bitterly.

"If she dies... you get what you always wanted. To kill me."

Now there was an intriguing idea. It certainly made me think. Though I'm not sure why she'd listen to me. He certainly seemed serious about it. So I supposed it was a shot worth taking. I reentered the house, walking back towards (Y/n) in the living room. Of course, Rose was still standing guard as I approached.

"Rose, I am fine, really." She assured the blonde. Rosalie reluctantly walked away. I sat down on the chair across from her. "So, Emmett sent you in here to talk to me?"

"Sort of." I grinned and took off my jacket, taking a seat in front of her. "Though I can't figure out why he thinks you'd listen to me. I mean, you never have before." We both lightly chuckled. We looked at each other awkwardly for a minute as I tried to come up with something to talk about. "So, blondie's your guard dog? Along with Bella? Why?"

"Bella's being a good sister, and Rose understands what I want." She shrugged as if it was that simple.

"What are you thinking, (Y/n)?" I asked her honestly. "Seriously."

She took a deep breath and let out a puff of air.

"I know, this seems like a scary thing,... but i-it's not. It's like this miracle or something." (Y/n) placed her hand gingerly on her stomach. "I can feel her."

I scoff slightly.

"So, it's a bouncing baby girl? I'm sorry I didn't know. Should've brought some pink balloons." I replied to her sarcastically.

"It's just a guess." She shrugs. "When, I picture her in my dreams, I see a girl. But, we'll see."

"You won't." I leaned forward and look into her beautiful eyes.

"Jake, I can do this. I'm strong enough." She insisted.

"Come on." I rolled my eyes and stood up. "You can spout that crap to your bloodsucker, but you don't fool me. I can see what that thing's doing to you. It's a killer, (Y/n)."

"You're wrong." (Y/n) gave me a simple smile.

"And when you die... what was the point? Of me loving you, you loving him. How is that right for anyone? Because I sure don't see it." I could see the pain in her eyes as I spoke to her. I shook my head and sat back down in front of her and leaned in closely. "Listen to me, (Y/n). Please." I begged. "Just don't do this. Live, okay? Please..."

"Jake, everything's going to be okay." Her thin fragile hand grabbed mine and for a second I enjoyed the interaction between us. I sighed and let go, grabbing my jacket and standing back up, beginning to walk away. "Jacob, don't go." She begged.

"I know how this ends." I stopped for a moment and turned to look at her. "And I am not sticking around to watch." I walked out the door.

I could feel the anger welling up inside of me. I made it to my bike and took a step back before kicking it across the driveway. Without even thinking about my clothes, I shifted and jumped into the woods in wolf form. Running trying to clear my mind of everything I'd just witnessed.

"Jake, I can do this." Her voice rang out in my head. "Don't do this..." I begged her. "I am strong enough." Echoed through my brain. "This is none of your business, dog." Rosalie's voice snarled through my head making me snarl out loud angrily.

Every moment passed through my brain the farther I got from the Cullen household. I jumped through the trees landing on a open road just as a car was coming. It slammed on it's breaks to avoid hitting me and I jumped out of the way, quickly running, through the woods again, pausing to howl in pain from all my thought's. More and more howl's echoed through the air and I could hear the pack's voices inside my head. I ran from the woods to a logging yard, where the other's met me.

"Jake! Jake! Jake!" The voices shouted all at once. I whined slightly at the disturbance in my brain from being over loaded.

"Is it true, Jacob?"

"What will it be?"

"It's growing fast."

"It's unnatural!"

"It's dangerous!"

The other wolves started circling me, snarling, thinking their hardest thoughts.

"Monstrosity!"

"An abomination on our land."

I whined slightly beginning to question what I'd just done.

"We can't allow it." Almost all of their voices agreed.

"We have to protect the tribe." Sam's giant black wolf appeared above us all. He stomped his paw down angrily. "What they've bred won't be able to control it's thirst. Every human will be in danger."

"We're ready." Jared stood tall.

"No time to waste." Leah snarled next to me. I bared my teeth a growled loudly at her.

"Now?" I asked astonished.

"We must destroy it before it's born." Sam snarled again.

"You mean, kill (Y/n)?" Seth whimpered lightly.

"Her choice affects us all." Sam said.

"(Y/n)'s human. Our protection applies to her!" I stood up tall and demanded for them to listen.

"She's dying anyway!" Leah snarled, getting in my face. I lunged at her angrily, pinning her to the ground. We bared our teeth at each other trying to bite one another, before Sam roared loudly.

"We have real enemies to fight tonight." Sam said, climbing down from his spot above us. Looking directly at me, teeth bared.

"Tonight?" I said really concerned. Seth walked up next to me and whimpered.

"You will fight with us, Jake." Sam snarled, using his Alpha tone against me.

Seth began to whine some more and bow in submission. I fought the urge to obey him, my body lowering itself lightly without my permission. He growled and snarled standing above me to get me to bow down. I whimpered and growled, lowering to the ground, my ears folding back on my head.

I can't do this to her. She's still my (Y/n), no matter her choices.

I chose to fight the Alpha command as hard as I could.

"I. WILL. NOT." I roared back, getting bigger as I rose back from the ground. "I am the grandson of Ephraim Black! I am the grandson of a chief!" I snarled standing taller than Sam. "I wasn't born to follow you, or anyone else." I snarled once more and knocked into Sam as I ran by.

I knew what needed to be done. I had to warn the others. I wouldn't let them harm (Y/n). I ran and ran as fast as I could, changing back into me again as I got closer. I had tears in my eyes, knowing I'd just caused immense harm on my best friend. I looked down at The Cullen household, basically shouting my thoughts in my head, hoping the mind reading blood sucker might hear me, to get Emmett to meet me outside.
