《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》The Wedding Reception

The wedding guests all gathered and approached. Giving us their Congratulations.
"Hey, man! Nice to see you." Seth approached us and they bro hugged one another. "I'm really happy for you."
"Thank you, Seth." Emmett said smiling widely at the boy.
"I hope you'll be happy, (Y/n)." Billy Black rolled up behind him and smiled softly at me.
"Thank you, Billy." I smiled back at him. "Have you heard from him?" I asked curiously.
"I'm sure Jake wishes you the best." He replied. I nodded at him.
"Well, I plan on getting drunk." My Dad said standing by us. Making us all laugh.
Sue Clearwater who had been pushing Billy's wheelchair had been giving my Dad loving looks and that made me smile knowing their was a possibility for a happy ending for him.
"They're serving up some pretty fancy champagne. Sue, can I get you a glass?" Dad asked her. Billy quickly turned his chair and interrupted before she could speak, through her wide smile.
"Sparkling firewater. Sounds great." He hit Dad with the chair on his way by making Emmett and I chuckle slightly.
Emmett held an arm around my waist and as we turned to move we were greeted with another set of faces I'd been told much about.
"(Y/n)." Carmen kissed each side of my face.
"Congratulations, Emmett." Eleazar shook his hand.
"Thank you." Emmett said back.
"Eleazar and Carmen, right?" I asked happily, having heard much about them.
"Mhm." Carmen nodded and a set of three blondes walked up behind them.
"Yea, and these are our cousins from Alaska. Tanya, Kate." Emmett introduced the two girls.
"We've heard so much about you." Kate smiled.
"Welcome to the family." Eleazar hugged me.
"Thank you." I said as I hugged him back.
"Irina." Carmen spoke to the last blonde woman who was distracted looking at Seth and Billy, in a concerned fashion. "Come meet, (Y/n)."
She walked forward a few steps and stood closest to Carmen.
"I can't do this." Irina whispered.
"You promised." Tanya said to her sister.
"They invited one." She spoke bitterly, looking towards Seth.
"Irina, he's our friend." Emmett told her simply.
"They killed Laurent." Irina stated. My eyes opened wide in surprise at her comment.
"He tried to kill, (Y/n). And her sister, Bella." Emmett retorted. Irina stood closer to us getting into Emmett's face.
"I don't believe that. He wanted to be like us. To live in peace with humans. With me." Her words flowed sadly from her mouth as she glared at us.
"Irina!" Carmen called softly after her as she walked away. The small group looked back at us sympathetically.
"Well, let's not monopolize the bride. Congratulations." Eleazar said again.
"Thank you." I replied with a soft smile.
"Well, what's a wedding without some family drama?" Emmett chuckled kissing my temple. "Come on, it's time for speeches."
We both laughed softly and made our way to the center of the room, to the head table and took our seats. Henry was the first one to climb up to the microphone.
"Excuse me. Hello? Is this on?" Rosalie wolf whistled at him making him smile brightly at her. "Uhm, I'd like to propose a toast. To my new sister." Henry held up a glass of champagne and grinned at me. "(Y/n), I hope you've gotten enough sleep these last 18 years. Because you won't be getting anymore for a while." He laughed and the room was awkwardly quiet.

Emmett and I grinned at each other. The vampires in the room knew what he meant, compared to the sexual innuendo the human's thought of. Though, Henry being who he is, certainly meant it that way too.
The speeches continued through the evening. Each person getting up to say there piece.
"I want to give the biggest Congratulations, to my sister and new brother in law. I love you both and I'm so excited to have Emmett be apart of our family forever. So here's to the happy couple and to their lifetime of love and happiness that is well deserved between the two of you. To (Y/n), and Emmett!" Bella shouted happily into the microphone.
"Emmett will be a good husband. I know this because I am a cop. I know things. Like how to hunt somebody to the ends of the earth. And I know how to use a gun. You'll always be my little girl, (Y/n). I will always look out for you. With that said here's to the happy couple." Dad said his toast to us, making Emmett and I chuckle. Dad took a big swig of his champagne before leaving the stage.
"Now that you're officially my sister, you'll have to get used to a wider fashion sense, like skirts, heels, and handbags. I love you both and Congratulations!" Alice exclaimed.
"Congratulations to my baby girl. I am so proud of the woman you have become. I look forward to seeing where life will take you. I'd like to sing a little song I used to sing to the twins when they were little. 'Go to sleep, my loves. Go to sleep. When you wake you'll see me." Mom sang making us giggle, specially seeing the annoyed look on our father's face.
"I'd like to thank Renee and Charlie for bringing such a wonderful person into the world and into our lives. We will cherish and protect her forever. I'd like to thank the beautiful bride herself for loving and taking care of my son. I am so happy to have another daughter added to my family." Esme smiled sweetly.
"It's an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to. Who will accept you for who and what you are. I've been waiting, what seems like a very long time to find my perfect match. And when I met (Y/n), I knew she was the one for me the second I laid eyes on her. She accepted me, flaws in all, and I couldn't ever repay her unconditional love towards not only myself but my family as well. But starting with our eternity seems like a good way to start. So here's to my beautiful bride, (Y/n)! I love you babe!" Emmett gave his speech to me, lifting his glass and I blushed, smiling up at him.
"I love you too, baby!" I shouted back to him.
"Now, it's time for the bride and groom's first dance." Carlisle said as he stood up clinking his glass.
Emmett walked over to me and held out a hand. I gratefully grabbed it and we walked together to the dance floor. We swayed together to the music, my head laid on his chest and his head on top of mine. Simply enjoying each other's company.
Soon enough when the song ended, my father cut in. We shared a sweet father, daughter dance. Then I danced with Bella and we laughed nearly the entire time. Then with my new brothers, Jasper, Henry, and Edward. Following up with a father and daughter in law dance with Carlisle.

"Can I have my wife back now?" Emmett chuckled as he cut politely into mine and Carlisle's dance.
"Of course, son." Carlisle left leaving a kiss to my forehead.
"So how's your night been, Mrs. Cullen?" I laughed as he spun me around.
"Very wonderful. It's so much more than I could have ever dreamed. How has your night been, Mr. Cullen?"
"The best night of my existence yet." He kissed me softly.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt you two, lovebirds." Edward said tapping Emmett shoulder. "I think there's a final wedding gift that's just arrived." He chuckled lowly. He gave Emmett a knowing look and they nodded at each other. I was left completely confused.
"What wedding gift?"
"Come on." Emmett put an arm around my waist and pulled me along away from the crowded dance floor. We walked off the steps and down to the forest.
"What is a wedding present doing out here?" I chuckled and looked to Emmett curiously.
"It's just a little more private."
"The best man didn't have time to get a tux." A sound I was afraid I wouldn't hear again rang out from the tree line. My head snapped up towards it with a giant smile across my face, filled with excitement. I looked to Emmett and he smiled brightly at me.
"Jacob!" I ran to him as best as I could in my dress and crashed into his arms. "Hey." We both laughed and hugged one another tightly.
"Hey, (Y/n/n)."
"This is really kind of you." Emmett said to him as I let Jake go.
"Well, kind is my middle name." Jacob grinned at him.
"I'll go see if Rosalie wants a dance." Emmett said and took his leave.
"I'm sorry I'm late." Jacob apologized.
"It's okay. You're here now and everything's perfect." I couldn't contain the giant smile on my face.
"Will you dance with me?" Jacob grinned widely.
I nodded and walked back into his arms. He wrapped an arm around my back and held my other hand twirling us around in a circle. He put me down and spun me around with just my hand making us both laugh happily. I hugged him close and we swayed back and forth to the sound of the music in the distance.
"Where have you been?" I asked him quietly. "I swear I was about to put your face on a milk carton." I giggled.
"Mostly northern Canada. I think. It's pretty weird to be back on two legs again, in clothes. Gotten out of practice with the whole human thing." He said softly and slowly as we danced together.
"Are you okay? Being here?" I asked curiously. He pulled away looking down at me smiling.
"Why? Afraid I'll trash your party?" He smirked which slowly went away as I looked at him with curiosity. We could hear branches moving around behind us in the woods. "You're not the only one... You'd think I'd be used to telling you goodbye by now." He told me softly and a few tears began to fall down my face. "Come on, you're not supposed to be the one crying, (Y/n)."
I held him close to me again and breathed him in.
"Everyone cries at weddings." I mumbled into his shoulder.
"This is how I'm going to remember you." Jacob softly said with tears building up in his own eyes. He pulled away and looked into my eyes, slowly stroking my cheek. "Pink cheeks, Two left feet," He twirled us around once again. "Heartbeat." He said almost as a whisper.
"So, what? Soon I'm going to just be dead to you?" I asked quietly looking down to the ground. He pulled me in again and swayed us back and forth.
"No..." He pulled away slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm just trying to appreciate your last night as a human."
"Oh... Well, it's not my last night." I said sheepishly. Jake's face was suddenly strewn with confusion and he furrowed his brows.
"I thought you..."
"I didn't really want to spend my honeymoon writhing in pain." I shrugged with a slight smile.
"What's the point? It's not like you're going to have a real honeymoon with him, anyway." Jake says sarcastically. He watched my reaction to see I wasn't joking. He pulled back slightly.
"It's going to be as real as anyone else's." I looked at him seriously.
"That's a sick joke, (Y/n)." He stated and I glared at him. "You are joking?" He said in disbelief. I couldn't say anything, I only looked at him. "What? While you're still human?" He stepped away from me completely, getting more upset by the second. "You can't be serious, (Y/n). Tell me you're not that stupid."
"It's really none of your business." I shook my head and he walked forward grabbing my arms tightly.
"No! You can't do this!" He shouted.
"Jake." I said softly.
"Listen to me, (Y/n)."
"Jake, let me go!" I shouted and shook my way out of his arms.
Emmett was by my side in seconds.
"Jacob, calm down, alright?" Emmett said through clenched teeth. Trying to diffuse the tension.
"Are you out of your mind? Huh? You'll kill her!" Jacob yelled and stepped towards Emmett as if he was going to attack him. Seth ran from out of the woods, still in his tux and grabbed Jacob by the arms, holding him back.
"Walk away, Jake." Seth said struggling to keep a hold on him.
He lost his grip and Jacob started again trying to have a go at Emmett. Embry and Quil ran out from the woods and the three of them held Jake back. Jake managed to get loose once again but Sam walked out from the tree line.
"Enough, Jacob!" Sam commanded.
"Stay out of this, Sam." Jacob snarled at him.
"You're not going to start something that we'll have to finish." Sam told him calmly.
"She'll die!" Jacob shouted angrily.
Emmett held me closely to him as we watched the scene before us unfold.
"She's not our concern anymore." Sam said ending it.
Jacob looked back to me angrily and then stomped off into the forest, shoulder checking Sam as he walked by. The rest of the wolves, followed Jake back into the woods. Seth looked to me apologetically and I gave him a small smile and a nod to assure him it was okay. He stood near us knowing he didn't want to leave but Sam yelled for him to follow. He sadly looked at us once again and followed them out into the woods.
"Are you alright?" Emmett asked softly.
"I'm okay..."
"Come on, people are probably missing us. Let's go back." He said softly and kissed my forehead. I nodded and we walked back.
After mingling for a little longer, Alice came to get me and dragged me inside to change into a different dress, so we could get set to go on our trip. Emmett changed out of his tux and we met downstairs. He linked his arm with mine and we walked outside to be greeted by the entire guest list, cheering and clapping for us. My Mother and Sister being the first one's to greet us just before we reached the car.
"So, he really won't tell you where he's taking you?" Mom asked with tears in her eyes.
"No, it's a surprise." I giggled.
"Well, wear a hat. Sunscreen. Take care of yourself." She choked out with a smile.
"I will." I hugged her tightly and let go. I turned and grinned at my sister.
"I'm going to miss you." She whispered into my ear as we hugged.
"I'll see you sooner than you'd think. It'll go by fast. I love you, Bells. Take care of yourself, tonight. Be sure to call when you can." I nodded at her.
"I will. I love you too, (Y/n/n)."
"Everything's packed and ready to go." Alice said sweetly, coming up behind us.
"Okay, cool." I nodded at her. She smiled and walked away revealing a waiting Charlie behind her. I walked up to him and playfully punched his shoulder.
"Dad." He grinned widely at me.
"Well, it's going to be strange, you not living under my roof."
"Yeah..." I whispered. "It's going to be strange for me too."
"You know it will always be your home, right?" Dad choked back some tears.
"It always has been." Tears brimmed my eyes. "I love you, Dad. Forever." I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him close to me. Soaking a bit of his tux.
"I love you, too, (Y/n/n). I always have and I always will." His arms tighten around me for a moment. He released me and looked down at me. "All right. Go on. You don't want to miss your plane. Wherever it's going." He said annoyed.
I shook my head with a smile.
"Okay. Bye."
I walked over to Carlisle's black car that waited for us and I climbed in, buckling up my seat.
"You ready?" Emmett smirked at me from the driver's seat.
"Yeah." I smiled back at him and we held hand's pulling out of the driveway. Everyone stood and waved, cheering as we drove by slowly.
