《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》The Newborn Battle

I woke up that morning and there was no Emmett, no Edward, and no Jacob. I nudged Bella to make her get up. We climbed out of our blankets and the warmth that still lingered there. Unzipping the tent I climbed out to see the ground had been covered with a light blanket of snow. It was no wonder as to why it was so cold up here last night. When we exited the tent a large, yet smaller grayish wolf trotted up to us and greeted us with a wolfy grin.
"Hi Seth." I greeted him.
Emmett and Edward both walked up the slope towards us.
"Hey, where's Jacob? Did he already.." I questioned them looking right at Emmett.
"Not yet." Emmett reassured me softly. "He's checking to see if the woods are clear before he goes." I walked over to him and he wrapped his arms around me. Seth jumped away after giving a look towards Edward and Emmett. I looked up at Emmett's face remembering bit's of the conversations I'd over heard.
"I'm really sorry about last night. I can't imagine that, that was easy on you..."
Emmett chuckled and held me flush against him.
"It won't be a part of my top ten list of favorite evenings. That's for sure."
"You have a list?" I looked at him in surprise.
"Yep. All 10 I've spent with you." He brushed some of my hair behind my ear. "Number one is when you agreed to marry me, Mrs. Cullen." He placed a soft kiss to my nose and I chuckled lightly.
"You're marrying him?" Jacob walked up from behind Emmett standing only a few feet away. He looked hurt, pained, and more importantly pissed. I gasped and looked at him from around Emmett's bulky chest.
"Jake, I..." I returned my gaze to Emmett's face as his arms had slowly let go. I furrowed my eyebrows at him in an angry manner. "You knew he was close enough to hear you! Didn't you?" I accused him.
"He needed to know..." Emmett said plainly as he crossed his arms. Jacob walked off away from us.
"Jake, wait!" I called out after him.
"(Y/n), just let him..." Emmett reached for me and grabbed my hand in an attempt to stop me.
"Don't! I told you I wanted to tell him, but not like this! He could get killed because of me!" I yelled angrily and I got my hand out of his hold and walked off after Jacob.
"Jacob, stop. Jake please, please, wait!" I called out trailing behind him.
"I'm done! I'm so done!" He stopped and angrily spit through his teeth.
"What can I do?" I begged him, fear evident in my voice.
"You can't do anything. I can, by going out there and killing something." He tried to walk away again and I started to panic even more.
"No! No! You're not thinking clearly. Please don't do that!"
"Well, maybe I'll get myself killed and make it simple for you." Jacob's voice was full of anger as he kept trying to walk away from me.
"No!" I choked, attempting to hold back my tears. "Jake, stay!" I begged him. I knew I needed a reason. I couldn't let him go off because of me.
"Why?" Jacob asked looking at me turning back and walking back until he was right in front of me. "Give me one good reason."
"Because I can't lose you, you're my best friend." A single tear fell from my eye.

"It's not good enough."
"You're too important to me..."
Both of our voices were softer as we spoke.
"Still not good enough." He said sadly and began to walk away from me again and I panicked.
"Jacob!" I shouted after him. He stopped walking but didn't turn around. "Kiss me!" I blurted out. Jacob turned to face me with a surprised, questioning look. I knew I shouldn't but I needed him, not to go off and die because of me. "Kiss me." I repeated again softer and less rough. "I am asking you to kiss me." I repeated slower, showing him I meant it.
He had promised it wouldn't be until I asked. In a selfish way I needed this. I needed this to know if I was making the right decision. There was only a minuscule part that doubted my decisions but I needed to be 100% sure. And in the heat of the moment and panic. This was now that chance.
Jacob walked quickly back towards me placing a hand to my hip and the other behind my neck and pulling me into him. His warm lips pressed to mine passionately. I wrapped my arms around his head and pulled myself closer to him. The kiss was... pleasant. But it wasn't like kissing Emmett...
We pulled away after a minute to breathe. Our foreheads pressed together. I left my eyes closed thinking about the kiss and whether it was everything I had once hoped. Maybe, once upon a time it could have been... He placed his hands on my face and pulled me in once more for a much softer, much quicker kiss. I stood there stunned at what had happened and Jacob looked much happier.
"That should have been our first kiss." He whispered with his forehead returning to mine. He pulled away slightly and his expression fell again. "I've gotta go." He whispered towards me. "I'll be back." He said softly and walked away.
There I was left on a mountainside stunned, in shock. I waited for about a minute before I regained the ability to move. I dragged my feet guiltily back towards the campsite. I accepted the world's sweetest guy's marriage proposal less than 48 hours ago and here I was, getting kissed by my best friend. I was certain now that I was making the right decision and yet all over one simple kiss I could have destroyed everything.
As I made it back I wiped the few tears that were on my face and I could see Bella and Edward standing near Emmett. I looked up into Emmett's golden eyes and I couldn't place where his emotions were at. I knew I would never lie to him about it.
"You saw?" I asked quietly.
"No." He replied softly. "But apparently Jacob's thought's were really loud..." I looked painfully over towards Edward with a sorrowful glance. He only smiled softly in return at me.
"I don't know, what happened..." I looked down to the ground ashamed. Emmett picked up my chin and made me look at his face gently.
"You love him." He said simply without any judgement. I was slightly surprised.
"But I love you more."
"I know." He smiled at me and placed a soft kiss to my lips, shooting fireworks through my body.
"I'm so sorry." I whispered against him.
"I know. It's okay."
Seth in his wolf form walked up pulling our attention away from each other. Emmett held me close to him. I wrapped myself around his body. Edward held onto Bella and looked at Seth to translate for us.

"It's starting." Edward stated.
Groups of vampires, newborns. Ran through the woods following Bella and (Y/n)'s scent.
The Cullen family. Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie, and Henry stood together in the clearing waiting for their arrival. The army finally broke through the tree line and sped their way towards the Cullen's. The family sped their way towards the newborns meeting them in the middle.
Jasper easily punched the first of the newborns taking his head right off. The other's jumped onto their targets and ripped their heads from their bodies with ease. Henry body checked a few and managed to get his arms around another, taking their head off. Alice fought her way through them, flipping some to their backs and jumping onto another. It fell to the ground with no head attached to it's body any longer.
Sam's large black wolf, jumped from his hiding spot attacking a pile of newborns at once. Quickly followed by the rest of their pack. Each wolf grabbed a newborn vampire in their large jaws, after taking them by surprise and tearing them to pieces.
Victoria appeared into the clearing watching in shock at the fact that so much of her army had already been taken down. What she quickly noticed was the seemingly surprising alliance between the Cullen clan and the wolf pack. Last she had seen them was when the group's were snarling at each other in the river. One other thing she took notice of was the four people she wanted dead the most were not there in the battle field.
The Cullen's and the wolves worked together tossing each other vampires to kill. Jacob's large russet brown wolf ran emerging from the trees easily beginning to take down vampires that stood in his way.
We stood listening to Edward narrate Seth's thoughts for us, so we would know what was happening.
"Jacob just got there." I inhaled deeply at Edward's words. Emmett rubbed my back. "He's good." Edward assured me and I nodded and exhaled.
Edward's face suddenly contorted to one of surprise and pain, shocking us all.
"Someone's hurt?" Bella asked worriedly.
"She's close. I can hear her thoughts." Edward breathed out. "Seth, go." Edward commanded the young wolf. He snorted in agreement and ran off away from us.
Bella and I clung to our fiancé's watching all around us for any sign of the fiery red hair that had been haunting our dreams.
"She knew we weren't there, but she caught Emmett and I's scent. She knew you'd be with us." Edward said as he continued to read her thoughts.
"She found us." Bella stated. We all looked forward at a sudden branch breaking but the face we came to see was not quite the one we were expecting.
"She's not alone." Emmett growled.
Riley Biers, the missing boy around Bella and I's age emerged from the wood with a deadpanned expression on his face.
"Riley, listen to me. Victoria's just using you to distract us. She know's we will kill you." Edward attempted to sway him as he walked closer towards us. I gasped lightly as I saw the red head land in a tree near us watching the scene unfold.
I hid behind Emmett, more so than next to him.
"In fact, she'll be glad she doesn't have to deal with you anymore." Edward spoke again after reading her mind.
"Don't listen, Riley. I told you about their mind tricks." Victoria's voice echoed down to him.
"I can read her mind. So I know what she thinks of you."
"He's lying."
"She only created you and this army to avenge her true mate, James. That's the only thing she cares about. Not you." Riley furrowed his brow slightly and turned his head to look towards Victoria clearly unaware that she had a different mate.
"There's only you. You know that." Victoria lied.
"Think about it. You're from Forks. You know the area. That's the only reason she chose you." Emmett pointed out to him.
"She doesn't love you." Edwards pushed that fact harder.
"Riley." Victoria coo'd his name making him look at her. "Don't let them do this to us. You know I love you." She said each word slowly conning him into believing her. Riley's face turned back into our direction. He took a few steps closer and grinned.
"You're dead." He responded plainly.
As Riley attempted to jump forward and attack, Seth jumped out of the woods and onto him. Tackling him to the ground. He grabbed Riley's arm and tossed him around like a rag doll. Both creatures snarling at one another, but Riley more so in pain, specially when Seth managed to rip his hand from his body. Riley screamed in agony. Bella and I stood close together as Emmett and Edward had taken steps forward. Victoria attempted to make a run for it, realizing she was outnumbered and her chances of winning were slim.
"You won't get another chance like this again!" Emmett snarled angrily in her direction, making her stop and turn to stare at him.
"You want them! You want us to feel the pain you felt when we killed James, when he tore him to pieces, when we turned him to ash, when we turned him into nothing." Emmett taunted her, slowly moving towards her.
Victoria shook with anger before letting out a loud scream and charging right for him, knocking Emmett into the snow. Edward charged forward and grabbed her as she attempted to reach for Bella and I. Throwing her backwards up into a tree. She glared down our way and quickly made a head start up the tree she was in.
Emmett grabbed my hand and we tried to make a break away from her having the high ground. Edward and Bella right next to us. Riley was grunting and groaning in pain still as Seth continued to attack him.
Emmett and Edward both charged at the tree she was in, knocking it from it's planted roots in the ground. The giant tree fell forward nearly crushing the tent in the place we once previously stood near. Bella and I both gasped as we watched the scene before us unfold. Victoria jumped from the tree on the way down making another break our way. Edward flung his body over the tree and tackled he to the ground with Emmett not far behind him. The three fought each other slamming her into the ground.
Riley managed to get up from the ground and kicked Seth into the face, knocking him into the rocks behind him.
"Seth!" I called out worried about the kid, praying he wasn't hurt to badly.
Riley jumped over tackling both boy's, but knocking only Edward off Victoria's body in an attempt to help her. In the process it gave Victoria the upper hand to get Emmett off from her. She managed to flip him over and grab around his head. Riley in a similar hold to Edward.
Bella and I panicked. Looking on in horror, helpless. Both of us fell to the ground searching for anything we could use. What better way to help distract a vampire than with the one thing they are weakest against. Blood. Quickly digging around in the snow we found two sharp rocks. Both of us cut our arms enough to let the blood trickle down. The smell caused both Victoria and Riley to turn our way. Giving Edward and Emmett, an escape route.
Edward threw his head back into Riley knocking him away, while Emmett was finally able to get a good grip on Victoria from behind him flipping her over the front of his body. Seth jumped up at Riley grabbing him by the shoulder flinging him around once again and began to tear him apart once and for all. Edward ran to Emmett and grabbed Victoria's head. Emmett pulled on her body and the two finally dismembered her head from her shoulders.
Both Emmett and Edward grunted and gasped being able to finally catch a minute without a fight ensuing. Victoria was finally dead.
Emmett walked over to me and tore a small piece of my shirt tying it around my arm to stop the bleeding. Seth romped his way over and snarled in a way that didn't seem good.
"Something wrong?" I asked looking over at Edward for translation.
"Alice needs us to go. Now." Edward finished tending to Bella and pulled a lighter out of his pocket. Throwing it onto the bodies remains, sending them up in a fiery inferno.
