"I did see something in the woods." Angela argued, the next day at school during our lunch period.
"Totally. Baby, I believe you." Eric said to his girlfriend.
"No he doesn't. He just trying to get lucky." Jess retorted making Eric laugh.
Bella and I made our way to our usual empty table. But she pulled on my sleeve stopping me from sitting down.
"Maybe we should, try sitting over there." She said quietly.
"But..." I looked sadly at the seats we used to sit in. My chair next to his... I could feel myself starting to tear up. I knew I shouldn't let him have this much control over me still. I mean, it's been 5 months...
"It's okay. I know it's hard to let go... Just because we don't sit here doesn't mean you have to. I know I wasn't really there for you at the beginning of all this. I was so... Consumed by my own suffering I didn't even think of your's. But I'm here for you now. So trust me on this...." She spoke happily toward's me. I nodded at her and wiped away the couple of tears, I had let fall.
We walked over towards their table.
"No, okay. It was jet black and huge. On all four's it was still taller than a person. A bear, maybe?" Angela continued on their conversation trying to convince her friends of what she'd see. Of course, it had caught our interest.
"Or an alien. You're lucky you didnt get probed." Mike joked.
"Oh, yeah." Eric laughed along with his friend. Bella took a seat next to Mike and I sat quietly next to Jess.
"Well, I saw it." Angela argued.
"You're not the only one, you know." Bella cleared her throat. "Our dad's been getting reports at the station."
"Like, five hikers have been killed by some bear, but they can't find the bear." I said quietly.
Everyone but Angela looked at me a bit awkwardly. Eric laughed nervously as Angela glared at him with a I-told-you-so look.
"Last time you clown's doubt my girlfriend." Eric made a sad attempt to redeem himself.
"Uhm..." Mike cleared his throat. He looked between me and Bella, giving her a dashing smile. "So, I mean. The Swan twins are back?"
"Yeah, I guess so." I nodded my head awkwardly.
"All right, that's... well, welcome." He said to me before turning his attention to Bella. "Uhm, so listen, you know, now that your sister is back and you know, talking, uh...I was just wondering if you wanted too see a movie with me." He asked her nervously. Bella looked at him a bit uncomfortable.
"Uh, yeah, sure." She began to nod to herself. "Yeah I do."
Very convincing Bells. I thought and chuckled quietly under my breath.
"Cool, um... Let me see, we could check out, uhm Love Spelled Backwards Is Love. You know, it's a dumb title, but it's a romantic comedy. It's it's supposed to be..." He stuttered so nervously around her.
"No." She firmly said before changing her tone to a softer one. "No romance, uh... How about Face Punch? Have you heard about that?"
"I mean, that's an action movie."
"Yeah, it's perfect. Um, guns, adrenaline." I could hear Jess scoff next to me. "That's my thing... We should get a bunch of people to go." Bella said quickly. "Do you guys want to go see... Face Punch?" Bella looked around the table.

"Face Punch, yeah. Mike, hey. We were supposed to watch that. Remember the trailer's like..." He made lots of actions type sounds. I saw Mike looking less than pleased. I couldn't help but chuckle quietly.
"Yeah. Movie night with Bella." Jess said sarcastically with a smile. She clearly still hadn't forgiven her.
"You know. He wanted that to be like a date. Between just the two of you." I told Bella as we climbed into the truck to head home.
"I, uh, I know..." She said awkwardly.
"So, what did he mean by now that your sister is talking again? Hmm?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Oh, that. Well... uh, he's been asking me out for like the past two weeks. Since we started speaking again. I told him that I wasn't going to be ready for that for a while. And when he asked why... I kinda put the blame on you." She said sheepishly. I let out a loud belly laugh.
"That's hilarious. I would have done the same thing. So what did you say?"
"I told him, I couldn't go out with him while you were still recovering from your break up too... It wouldn't have been fair. Since you needed me... I kinda forgot about that when I asked you to sit there today." She laughed lightly.
"Well thank's for thinking of me." I told her sarcastically and rolled my eyes with a smile. "But I know it's because you're not ready to let go either. I don't even know what it is. I don't want to forget. But moving on would make it hurt less right?" I asked quietly.
"You're probably right. But I love him... Even still. Even after he tore my heart out. What about you?" Bella asked softly.
"My last words to him were. I will always love you... That's remains true. I could move on and be happy I'm sure. But the more I think about it... I can't because... I don't actually want to. I don't want to move on, because I don't want to forget..."
Bella leaned over as we drive and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"That's exactly how I feel..."
"Hello?"
"Hey, Jacob. Are you busy tonight?" I asked through the phone after we got home.
"Hmm. Let me check my calendar. Might have to move somethings around depending on what it is you ask." He laughed through the speaker. "Kidding, nah, I'm not doing anything. What's up?"
I laughed too.
"Well, Bella and I are going to the movies with some of our school friends. I was wondering, if.. uh, maybe you, ya know, wanted to come?" I face palmed, cursing my awkward nature. Bella laughed at me from the kitchen table.
"Sure. What are we going to see?"
"Face Punch."
"I'll be there."
Bella and I left Jacob and Mike waiting while we got the tickets. When we walked back over it seemed like there was a weird tension between them. I knew Mike wasn't thrilled that Jacob and I tagged along. But I wasn't about to leave my sister alone and uncomfortable.
"Jessica bailed." I said hanging up my phone as we walked closer.
"Angela got the stomach flu, so Eric's taking care of her. So it's just us four." Bella let them know.
"Great." Jacob said happily walking over and standing next to me.
"Great." Mike repeated quietly laced with sarcasm.

Bella and I glanced at each other. She clicked her tongue and walked inside, the three of us following behind her.
We took seats in the last row. Bella on the end, Mike, Me, and then Jacob. We began to watch the movie and there was so much blood and gore, I grimaced through most of it. I noticed Jacob had his hand on the arm rest of my chair, with his hand flipped up. I debated whether or not to reach out and grab it. A small, small part of me wanted too. I internally argued with myself about it. I glanced over to see Mike had pulled the same trick on Bella, she too looked like she was thinking deeply about it. We cast eyes at each other and looked down at their hands an back up. Both of us rolled our eyes at our predicaments.
"Okay, I think I'm gonna throw up." Mike said suddenly.
In the darkness of the theater I was able to make out that he looked a little green. I scooted over right into Jacob. I looked up at him and he looked extremely pleased. I quickly moved away just as Mike got up and ran for the bathroom. I desperately prayed that Jake hadn't seen the blush I could feel on my face.
"We should probably follow him." Bella whispered over at us.
I nodded and got up. We walked out and Jacob followed behind us. We saw Mike rush into the men's bathroom just as we exited the theater. Both Bella and I cringed at the fact that we could hear him yaking it through the wall.
"What a marshmallow." Jacob said making Bella and I both laugh. "You should really hold out for someone with a stronger stomach. You deserve better." He chuckled.
"Yeah, I'll keep an eye open for that." Bella giggled as we walk around the corner to escape the sounds coming from the bathroom.
I felt Jacob get closer to my side an his hand tried to slid into my own. It caught me off guard, so much that I shrugged my way out of his grip a little to quickly and when I looked at his face I could see he was disappointed. I sighed quietly and looked at the ground.
"I feel bad, he probably has that flu that's going around." Bella talked oblivious to the now awkwardness until she looked up. She sat awkwardly on the step's and I leaned against the wall with Jacob following me.
"What, I can't hold you hand?" He looked at me sadly and confused. I looked up at him.
"I, uh, I mean... of course you can..." I sighed as his face looked hurt. He could definitely hear the hesitation in my voice.
"But?"
"But, I think in the way you're trying, it means something different. It would change thing's." I looked down to the floor. I felt his hand reach under my chin to make me look at him.
"Okay, well, tell me something. You like me, right?" He looked at me with his big brown eye's. I rolled mine and weighed my option's on the consequences of my answer. I nodded slightly.
I saw the hope flash across his face. I shook my head.
I'm still in love with him I can't do this to Jacob. I don't want to hurt him.
Jake's hand that was on my face moved down to my waist.
"Wait, Jake... please don't do this..." I begged him quietly. His hand quickly retreated away from me. I heard him sigh.
"Why?"
"Because. Doing something like that will ruin everything... and I need you." I explained softly. I know he know's that I need him still as a friend right now. I half expected for him to get mad. But to my surprise...
"Well, I've got loads of time. I'm not going to give up." He said with a smirk.
"As persistent as ever Mr. Black." I rolled my eyes and grinned at him. "I would expect nothing less. And I don't want you too..." I said quietly. My face falling again in sadness. "I won't ever run right, you know. I'm not like a car you can just fix and have everything run smoothly."
"It's because of him, right?" Jacob said and I looked up at his face. "Look, I know what he did to you. But (Y/n), I would never, ever do that. I won't ever hurt you, I promise. I won't let you down. You can count on me." He said each sentence slowly and softly.
I could hear just how much he meant those words and the love he has for me in them. A small smile reappeared on my face and he smiled softly at me. His hand's moved to my waist again. This time we moved in closer to each other. I leaned forward and put my head on his chest.
"Well..." Mike voice said, breaking Jacob and I away from each other. More like I broke away from him startled.
Bella had been watching our little moment with a happy smile until Mike's voice rang though the air. She snapped her head up and looked in his direction.
"I need to go home." Mike sighed and looked at us all.
Jacob glared at Mike and he took notice of the look. Clearly not realizing he had interrupted something.
"I'm... I was feeling sick before the movie, okay?" Mike said and Jacob scoffed. "What is your problem?" Mike asked him with attitude.
"Right now, you're my problem. Feeling sick? Maybe you need to go to the hospital." Jacob angrily pushed away from the wall we were leaning on and aggressively stood in front of Mike. "You want me to put you in the hospital?" He threatened him, escalating the situation quickly.
Both Bella and I jumped towards him. I put my hand's on his chest and looked at his face. Bella went and pulled Mike back and they stood together watching in concern.
"Jake, Jake. It's fine. What are you doing?" I asked quickly. He glared intensely at Mike. I felt the insane amount of heat radiating from his body. Like an intense heat, which was concerning. "You're like really hot." I said out loud without thinking. Both Bella and Mike looked at me quizzically. I rolled my eyes. "I mean, he feels like he has a fever. Are you okay?" I turned my attention back to him.
"I-I don't know what's happening." Jacob's face changed from angry to scared. He looked down at me. "I need to go." Jacob quickly walked away and out of the theater.
Mike scoffed after he was gone.
"Dude is weird." I glared at him and left the theater.
Jacob was no where in sight.
