"Babe can you sit on this for me?",Khia said trying to zip the suitcase but she was struggling.
"Khia I told you not to buy so many stuff cause we won't have space", I said after washing my face. I wiped my face in a towel and went to the room to help her.
After lots of tugging, and squeezing the compartments together, I got it to close. I looked at the time on my phone and saw that it was 10:45. Our flight departs at 12:30 so that means we had to be at the airport by 11 and I just didn't see that happening in 15 minutes.
"Bae why are you not dressed? We gonna miss our flight",I told her.
"I took a shower already I just gotta put on this outfit and I'll be done",she said pointing to the outfit she laid out on the sofa facing our bed.
"Its gonna take another hour to do your hair and makeup though."
"Babe. We'll be out of here in 10 minutes stop freaking out",she said laughing.
I put on my navy blue polo shirt and my khaki jeans and sprayed my Calvin Klein eternity cologne on.
"Ight im gonna go load the van up. I'll be back",I said grabbing the keys and kissing her on the cheek.
"Okay",she said doing her makeup which I didn't know why because I told her she's naturally pretty. I grabbed my suitcase and hers and decided I'll come back for both the carry ons. Rolling both the suitcases out, I met my dad in the hallway with his suitcases in hand.
"We gone have to ask God for miracle to hold the plane for us, son",he said.
"Yeah. I know it",I said laughing.
"I wanna meet her family",he said as we took the elevator down to the lobby.
"Who's family?",i asked cause that was random.
"Khia's family. She has morals and she's a woman with class and fits your standards. I really appreciate that."
"I'll see if I could set something up for y'all to meet."
"How is her mother?"
"She's good."
"She didn't give you a hard time did she?"

"No not that I know of. She resembles Khia. Quiet and reserved",I explained.
Once we loaded the luggage up, I went back to the room to check up on Khia. I hope she was done.
"You ready?",i asked her while opening the door. She turned around in her no sleeve sundress with shades in her curly hair with her Louis Vuitton bag in her hand and said, "yes mi amor. I'm ready."
When she speaks Spanish to me it turns me on but I wouldn't tell her that cause she'll most likely stop.
"Alright corazón let's go",i said scanning the room to see if we left anything and we didn't. She held my hand and we were on our way to the lobby where my parents were waiting for us.
"Hijo, I'll let you drive because we'll make it there faster",My pops said throwing me the keys. Everyone laughed and Khia greeted them both with a hug. On the drive there we called the rest of the family to meet us at the airport instead because we were already running late behind our normal schedule. Once we got to the airport, we hugged and greeted each other and they walked us out to the security checkpoint. Unfortunately, that's where they had to stop.
"You better call me okay?",i heard Jennifer telling Khia and hugging her.
"I will promise."
"You gotta do better man. I'm not gonna tell you again",I told my cousin Romeo hugging him. He looked at me with his eyes real low. I hope I was actually getting through him. After all the hugs, we left and went through security and rushed to get to the gate before it was time. Thankfully we made it right when they were checking everyone's tickets. Once we were seated in the back, Khia grabbed my hand and said, "I miss them already."
"That's cool. We'll see if we can plan another trip in the end of the year. How does that sound?",i said with a smile. I'm glad she was feeling my fam and they were feelin her too. We had a pretty rocky start but all in all, they loved her.

"Sounds awesome. Thank you for taking me."
"I'd take your annoying self with me everywhere I go",i said laughing. She scrunched her nose up and smiled. I forgot how long the plane ride usually is. When we landed, I woke Khia up next to me. She wasn't in a deep sleep because she automatically knew that the plane landed. I grabbed our carry on bags and followed my parents out to the baggage claim area. It felt good to be home but a part of me was still at my first home in Santo Domingo. It took us a while to get our bags so we waited around until they finally came. I grabbed ours and we were on our way out to the parking lot to wait on my uncle. He took a minute getting here too. Khia yawned and put her head on my shoulders.
"You hungry?",I asked her.
She shook her head no.
"Tired?"
She shook her head no.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm gonna miss you",she said.
"Why? I'm not going anywhere babe",I said laughing.
"Yea you are. Your going home."
"Yeah and?"
"I gotta go home."
"You don't If you don't want to."
"I'm already used to you being by me every day and night."
"That quick? Babe it's only been two weeks."
"Doesn't matter",she pouted. I chuckled and asked my pops if it was okay if Khia stayed at the house for a lil longer and he said it was okay.
When we arrived home, it felt foreign to me that we lived in this nice house with ac meanwhile my fam in Dominican Republic were sweating bullets. Khia and I went upstairs to my bedroom while my father left to go check up on the restaurant and my mother was planning on getting food together. Soon as I got to my room, I laid on my bed.
"Have you talked to him about the restaurant thing?",Khia asked me.
"Nah not yet."
"Don't forget to. Everything is riding on this."
"I love how your more urgent than I am to get my family here...you know I never thought we would've made it this far."
"Why is that?",she said cocking her head to the side.
"Didn't think you'd be that interested in me."
"Says the popular kid in school",she said rolling her eyes and smiling underneath.
"Nah im serious."
"Didn't even know you of all people would've noticed me",she said under her breath but I heard it.
"I been noticed you. I was just cautious cause of everything I heard."
"What did you hear?"
"That you had a boyfriend."
"Seriously?",she said laughing.
"Did you not have one?"
"He wasn't my boyfriend ..."
"You gave him that title. Not me."
"Well if I had a boyfriend then and you didn't talk to me, I had a boyfriend now and that didn't stop you from talking to me."
"You right. It didn't cause dude was never around so I took my chances",I said with a smirk.
"He didn't go to school, he was done with college",she said.
"Ight. So why'd you come to my party?"
"Because ebony forced me to."
"Damn. I actually thought you came to check me out",I said.
"Don't flatter yourself. I wasn't checkin for you, you was checking for me."
"You right. Not gonna argue about that",I said with a chuckle. I loved how she was getting confident in herself now. The goal is to get her to know her worth and can't no other man out here show her that but me.
"You outdid yourself in D.R babe",I told her as I watched her unpack my clothes.
"How?"
"You proved everybody wrong."
"Concerning.."
"The rumors that we wouldn't last, rumors that you wasn't Dominican so you wouldn't be able to fit in the fam."
"Oh you actually cared about those rumors?",she said laughing.
"Thought it would break you down a bit."
"I don't give it the time of day."
"I'm glad you don't cause I don't either. Maybe this relationship can go further."
"That's the plan unless you had something else in mind",she said sitting on my stomach facing me.
"I got somethin else in mind right now."
"Not in your parents house."
"You know how to keep quiet?",i said looking at her.
"Depends on how your putting it down."
"lock the door bae."

Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Hugh Johnson was having a bad day. First there was the stupid long line to get into Comiket, then Truck-kun smashed him into paste, a lolii-goddess who punched him into another world, and finally, a wolf that decided to snack on him. And that was just the last 15 minutes. Now he needs to save Eternasy from the Seven Evil Alternate characters he created while playing Endless Fantasy before they destroy the world. Who knew that your actions in a game would have real-world consequences? Join Hugh as he takes on his first Evil Alt and journeys to the Lair of Daemon Wyrm. Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts will contain tropes familiar to readers of Japanese isekai light novels - a humorous progression fantasy with slice of life scenes, cute girls, burley men, dungeons, magic, and mayhem. Be warned that the MC is not a clueless weeb who has no idea how women or the world works. Expect this to read like hot garbage, and you will not be disappointed. I never expected to toss it into the Writeathon, but I have poor impulse control, so here we are.

Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.
