Taking my hair out of a bun, I scratched my itchy scalp and sat on the chair in Santiago's back yard. He had me spend the entire day with him while he ran errands for his parents. Right now we were about to go to the mall to find some outfits he was going to wear to his trip to Dominican Republic.

"You got a check?",i asked while he brought back the mail from outside.

"Nah i wish",he said laughing and gave me the letter. I looked at it and he got accepted into the business and management program at our school. I smiled and said, "that's awesome. Are you gonna go?"

"Yeah I'll just graduate with a dual degree babe. It's more time in school but it's worth it."

"I'm so proud of you",i hugged him and he kissed me on the lips.

"Cmon we got about 3 hours to get these things done."

"We? I wasn't invited to this trip tiago",I said making a face.

"Don't do that bae. I'm taking you next year. I promise."

"I guess. That's if I'll still want to go."

He chuckled and we went to his car. On the drive to the mall, we stopped by sonic to get a slurpie because although it was nice outside, it was real hot outside. That's why I wore my mini skirt and fitted, white half top. Santiago blasted 'every day we lit' through the speakers and we vibed to the song. He rapped every verse and I attempted to sing the chorus.

When we got to the mall, I got side tracked and just had to go into Victoria secret. There was this cute bra and panty set that I just had to get. I pulled out my card to pay for it but Santiago slid his before I could get my card out of my wallet.

"I'll give you the money back when we get in the car",i told him.

"Nah babe it's cool."

"You sure?"

"Hell Yea",he said holding my hand as we walked into the next store. He needed a suitcase that was lightweight and spacious.

"What about this one?",I said spotting a all black suitcase. I was too short to reach it so I had him get it for me. Looking at it he said, "it doesn't have 360 spin control or whatever it's called."

"Okay shopping for suitcases shouldn't be this hard",i said.

"What you tryna say? I'm the complicated one?",he said still looking around. I followed behind him smiling totally ignoring his comment.

"Why am i in here shopping with you when I'm not even going."

"Because You love being around me",he said with a smirk.

"Uhm you technically kidnapped me from my house and had me all to yourself all day sir."

"Like You had something to do today."

"I Did. I'm supposed to be studying",I said crossing my arms.

"Study? Thank God i came at the time I did",he said laughing.

I rolled my eyes.

"When's the test?",he asked me.

"Tomorrow."

"You been studying for that test the past 2 weeks though right?"

"Yeah."

"Okay then you should be fine. You'll ace it."

"I hope so."

"Say it with confidence babe",he said kissing me on the cheek.

After buying the right suitcase and buying a couple outfits for him and I, we stopped by the food court and decided to get some Panda Express. As we walked, we bumped into Trey and ebony. What was he doing with ebony? That's my best friend.

"Hey girl",ebony said to me. I crossed my arms and tried not to be heated.

"Wait ..so y'all together now?",i asked.

"No not really. He just invited me to go to the mall with him",she said. I could see right through her lies.

"Why would he do that?"

"Khia don't trip. We just friends."

"The way you holding her hands don't show y'all just friends",i peeped.

"Khia it's really not what it seems",ebony said.

"It's exactly what it seems. And you choose my best friend as your next hoe? Really?",I said with a smirk to trey.

"Khia I'm sorry. I thought y'all wasn't dating or anything",ebony opened her mouth and said.

"Ebony what?? So it makes it ok that you date him? That's against girl code."

"What is this high school? Your trippin",ebony said crossing her arms.

"Your a fake a.. hoe",I said. Ebony swung her arm out to punch me but Santiago stopped her and said, "I can't let you do that ebony. You know you wrong for that. Just remember that, cause she will. Cmon bae",he said grabbing my waist. I sat at a table near the Panda Express area while tiago went to grab our food. I really couldn't believe my best friend was dating my ex. Who does that? Was she ever a real friend to me? I complained to her day and night about how trey treated me. I mean I knew trey was a dog but my best friend though?

"Ready to eat babe?",he said startling me out of my thoughts.

"I don't have a appetite tiago",I said.

"You gotta eat somethin babe",he said putting a sesame chicken on the fork for me to eat.

He saw i was just looking out of space and asked , "how long y'all was friends?"

"4 years."

"Was she always like that?"

"Was like what?"

"A person that betrays you."

"No. I never seen that from her. She was always loyal & real."

"Damn. You gonna forgive her?"

"No. She went behind my back and dated my ex."

"You know you gonna have to forgive her."

"Why?"

"Cause you gotta forgive those who hurt you",he said eating.

"I'm not trying to hear that right now."

After we ate, Santiago drove back to his house and I made myself comfortable on his bed. He took his shirt off and changed into a tank. I could catch him glancing at me for a minute but I just didn't pay him any mind cause other things were on my mind.

"Why are you lookin at me like that?",I said getting aggravated even though I shouldn't have.

"Nothing just was thinking something."

"What is it?"

"I was gonna break this relationship thing off."

"What? Why?",I asked confused.

"I don't know, just felt that we weren't compatible with each other."

I looked down cause it was true that we weren't.

"But when you went up there last Sunday to the alter, I was glad that I didn't make that decision cause I would've regretted it."

"Well do you still want to break up or something? Cause my life already going bad. I lost my best friend so this would be a great time for you to do it. You can walk out if you want to just like everyone else did including my dad",I said frustrated. I really had nothing to lose and I didn't care anymore.

"Number one, this is my room. I'm not bout to walk out of my own room not your life so relax. Number two, I can't break up with you cause I already love you",he said sitting next to me on his bed.

"I know lots of niggas that break up with girls they love. It's easy to them. They do it all the time."

"I'm not one of those niggas babe."

"How am i supposed to know for sure?"

"How long we been together?"

"You can't answer a question with a question."

"You funny",he said smiling putting his arm around me.

"4 months",I finally answered.

"Have i done anything to make you second guess being with me? Do I mistreat you? Do I disrespect you? Do I flirt with other girls?"

"No not of that."

"So what does that tell you?"

"That your gay",I said jokingly.

"If I was gay, i wouldn't have given you that",he said pointing to the hickey on my neck. I laughed and he rolled me over and kissed me all over my neck down to my chest.
