June 17, 2021

So little back story before I reveal the model and why it makes him so special, I did not plan on graduating this year. I was a super senior, meaning I had to take a fifth year of Highschool, and planned on coming back for another semester in the 2021-2022 school year but I made so much progress in my credit retrieval that I was able to graduate on time with the 2021 class on June 14th! I didn't even know I was going to graduate until a month before graduation so that's why I kind of splurged on a graduation gift for myself, because I feel like I made a huge accomplishment. Without further rambling, I'd like to introduce to you...

Name: Quarter Roy aka This Could be Heartbreak by The Amity Affliction

Breed: Quarter Pony (?)

Color: Extreme dunskin

Special Run: 2002 Equilith SR, 100 LE

Significance: First of the mold

Hooollllyyyy for the love of model horses, how gorgeous is this boy?! He's absolutely stunning, minimal flaws, beautiful markings and coloring, and the most beautiful blue eyes on a model I've ever seen! I was lucky enough to find him on ebay and immediately knew I had to have him. I didn't plan on spending such a chunk of cash because of the next Stablemates Club model and Breyerfest coming up fast, but when I saw him I justified it as a graduation gift to myself. I absolutely adore this lovely Pony so much and it's as close to (one) of my dream horses I think I've ever seen in model form, just wish it had a longer mane. This lovely Pony had now earned it's way as my collection mascot because I just am in complete love with him. Maybe I can hire someone in the future to make a digital drawing of him like other people have for their collections. I'm debating to do that or not but nonetheless head over heels for this dreamy dreamy boy.

Here's some ponies I did not get for graduation, but pre-ordered from Paint Pony Studios a while back that came just before the handsome dude above.

Breed: Lusitano

Color: Grey

Special Run: No

Significance: No

First up from the batch of mid year Stablemates, a beautiful grey mini Alborozo with gorgeous bronzy mane and tail - the "mulberry" stage of the graying process. I think he's really well done seeing him in person, especially since I didn't have a model in this grey stage before this guy so he spices up my grey section nicely. He is pearly but nothing compared to others and looks really good on this specific color so I don't mind. For a regular run Stablemate he has a great paint job and I love seeing more colors produced on this handsome boy.

Breed: Appaloosa Sport Horse

Color: Bay Leopard

Special Run: No

Significance: First RR on the mold

The first regular run on the Corbin mold, would've likes to see a different color on him but I still enjoy this guy quite a lot. The mold is beautiful to me so I'm happy to have another and a flashy pattern on him. I hope to someday see him as a nice rich chestnut or bay with four high socks and a blaze, I think that'd look super cool on this horse. He was kind of an impulse buy just for his mold since I have a bay leopard Cantering WB that looks similar since Breyer sometimes recycles colors/patterns on Stablemates.

Breed: Friesian X

Color: Dun

Special Run: No

Significance: No

Another Django to add to my conga despite not trying to conga... I already have the buckskin appy so did I really need the solid dun? The answer is no... but yes. So here he is, making room on my shelves to stand next to his appy brother to be trouble makers together. He's just such a dreamy mold it's hard for me to not "accidentally" conga him because he just looks so good in practically every color. He was also a impulse buy for the mold but he's beautiful so I'm not complaining lol

Breed: Gypsy Vanner

Color: Blue Roan overo

Special Run: No

Significance: No

This cartoony cutie earned his way to my shelves for his lovely blue roan coloring since after selling a little over half my collection the only blue roans I had before this guy was the Running Mustang and Benelli. I'm happy to add this guy and more diversity in colors back to my regular run shelf with his sweet face and kind eyes. Despite him not being a super realistic or anatomically correct model, he's one of those so derpy you gotta love them molds!
