Ordered on the 14th of August and "arrived" the 25th, I couldn't find my Sultan anywhere. Three emails and five phone calls later of trying to get a replacement for my Sultan that never showed up... I finally got tracking for a replacement said to be delivered on the 12th, before my birthday. Just yesterday I got tracking for a SECOND replacement said to be delivered on the 16th. Then this handsome guy showed up with both my replacement tracking still in transit... this is my original Sultan! The box was dirty, but thankfully not damaged but he did aquire some ear rubs, so I am happy to be getting a replacement anyways.
I know it's a goof in the system that I got two replacements (I'm assuming someone just now read my emails or heard my voice messages) so I won't be selfish and keep all three, I will be selling the two I don't keep. Crazy things happen sometimes... I'm just glad I finally get a horse and I didn't have to end up buying one second hand to keep all Club releases.
Sultan is a gorgeous dark dappled bay Arabian with a star and two hind socks smothered in gloss. He's a handsome little dude and his shading is really well done but there's one thing I don't like about him.
He looks a lot like a Stablemates Club model from 2018, Zahrat. Both are glossy dappled bay Arabians, with two hind socks. The only major difference between the two besides molds is the shades and face markings. They'd be a cute couple for a diorama or shelf buddies, but they're way too similar then I'd like. He could have had different leg markings at least or had the plume gene like the Lugh Special Run this year for Breyerfest. Overall I still like him and think he's gorgeous, just underwhelmed there's already a Club model that looks very similar and of the same breed.
