《His Betrayal》Chapter(21)

Annabelle
We were carried into a gray room with no windows, I assume from lack of light. I wanted to desperately help, but that would be foolish they have weapons and they are two males, not to mention can call re-enforcements. So, I didn't take any chances I knew Colton would be able to find us, he saw everything I did and my mind-link was still open to him. I felt the coldness of me being placed on a floor. Something hard and cold was being placed around my wrists and ankles, fudge I hope those arn't shackles. After whom i'm assuming was guy two, was finished he layed my ankles back on the ground and walked out of the room leaving me and my two unconscious friends alone. I creaked one eye open and looked around, I saw Syphone chained on my left and Kate chained on my right. I moved slowly not wanting to make any jingling noises and kicked Syphone hard to at least see if she'd wake up, nothing. I touched my hand to her forehead without knowing what I was doing, and it started to glow a light orange color. Syphone shifted and squirmed then to my amazement woke up. I did the same to Kate and my hand started glowing again on its own accord. They both started to wake and I felt guilty for not getting us out of the situation. Syphone looked at our surroundings and was about to say something when we heard footsteps coming our way.
"Hurry pretend to be asleep." I mind-linked both Kate and Syphone.
They fell limp and closed their eyes I did the same.
"That's weird you'd think they'd be awake by now. Aren't they pure lupus wolves?" I heard Guy two ask.
"I don't know but if they don't wake up soon. Boss will have our heads." I heard Guy one mumble.
"Let's give it another hour. If they arn't awake by then we'll force them awake." Guy two said.
I didn't like the sound of that and I had a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach that told me this wasn't going to be good. They walked out of the room and closed the heavy steel door, which was most likely sound proof. Kate and Syphone sprung up and looked at me with questioning eyes.
"It didn't work on me." I told them, referring to when I was supposed to be asleep.
"What do you mean?" Syphone asked, while Kate had a calculating face on.
"When they shot me with the dart it only left a tingly sensation, before it vanished completely. I had touched my neck and the sensation went away. So, I pretended to be asleep knowing I wouldn't win a fight against them." Syphone nodded in understanding, but Kate's face lit-up.

"Wait, how did you wake us up?" Kate asked me.
"I touched your forehead and my hand started to glow before you woke up? Why?"
Syphone's face lit up in realisation of something before looking at me in awe. Kate did as well.
"You healed our wolves Annabelle, that's why your hand started glowing. It's a rare gift that very few have. It's called healing. This means your powers are developing." Kate stated.
My eyes widened in shock. I could heal people? Was that why I didn't fall asleep? Because I healed myself before I could. That was amazing.
"What else can I do?" I asked in wonder. They shrugged.
"We arn't for sure it doesn't state the powers you will receive in the prophecy." Syphone said.
My shoulders sagged. Then I realized the situation we were in. We needed to get out, Now! I contacted Colton.
"Colton where are you?"
Silence. That's what greeted me. I searched for the link again. It was there and he wasn't blocking me, so why wasn't he answering? I guess we were on our own. Time to get out of here, but how? I looked down at the chains holding my ankles and wrists, they weren't very thick. We could probably break them.
"Guys we can break the chains they arn't very thick." I said in excitement. Both girls looked at me as if I grew another head.
"Annabelle, look closely these are silver chains if we move around to much they'll burn us." Kate said.
I glanced down at the chains. I tugged at them, but it didn't burn me at all, it just felt like regular metal. I pulled and pulled them apart and eventually one of the links connecting my ankles snapped. I checked my hands. Nothing, no burn marks. I pulled the chains on my wrists and they snapped too. Kate and Syphone were frozen in place, eyes wide, and mouths agape. I went over and pulled them free, but also taking off the chains. I didn't want them to get burnt. I checked their wrists and ankles, and surely enough their were red burn marks. I touched each of the areas on both girls and my fingers started to glow. The burns covered up and new tissue grew in place. I glared down at the metal links that harmed my friends. Stupid silver. The links vibrated on the ground and shattered into little pieces, whoa cool. I tried my new found gift on the wall, opposite of the door, and soon enough it crumbled down to ruble. The huge hole left an immediate escape to the forest we didn't waste any time and darted into the cover of trees. The gift I had didn't make any noise to my surprise, so they wouldn't know we were gone till' they came to check up on us. when we all entered the cover of trees, we shifted mid-air and landed on all fours. We broke out in a dead sprint. I mind-linked Colton telling him we escaped.

"Colton? Are you there we escaped." Instead of Colton answering Kent did.
"Annabelle, you need to get here fast Colton's hurt."
"How badly? What happened?!?!" I panicked I wasn't sure if my healing could work on him or not.
"He got shot twice. Once in the arm, the other time in his leg. Annabelle Hurry!"
"We're coming as fast as we can. Don't worry I think I can help."
With that I blocked everyone else off and focused on running home to the pack house. We made it there in record time. I shifted mid-air and landed on two feet I grabbed a t-shirt hanging from a tree and threw it on. I bolted inside the house and saw a bloody trail leading to the couches in the living room, where I saw Brandon and Kent nursing an unconscious Colton and his wounds. I made a mad dash over and pushed Kent and Brandon over. I placed my hands on both his wounds at the same time and focused my warmth into my fingertips. My hands started to glow a bright orange. When the glowing stopped I removed my hands and saw as the skin re-grew before my eyes and the blood dried away. I turned to Kent and Brandon.
"You took out the bullets right?" They both nodded still in shock of what they just witnessed.
I sat next to Colton and placed my hand on his forehead without thinking. His eyes fluttered before opening and landing on me. He grabbed hold of my waist and pulled me into his chest for a hug.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again Annabelle. I thought I was going to lose you."
"Looks who's talking I finally escape and come home to find two bullet wounds on you, your in big trouble mister." I mock-glared at him, while he pulled a lop-sided grin that made my heart flutter.
"I'm sorry I just got distracted. We found the house you guys were at. When you contacted me I didn't notice the two guards out front. One saw me and hit me in the arm, while i ran in the opposite direction he shot my leg too."
"Sorry, you should've blocked me out or told me before hand."
"Yeah, maybe. But I didn't want to block you off just in case if you didn't respond back."
"Okay, but your all better now. So, I guess that's all that matters. Where okay too."
"Speaking of which, how did I heal so fast? Those were silver bullets." Colton asked while looking at his arm and leg.
"Brandon and Kent took out the bullets and I used some newly discovered healing powers on you."
"Aha, so your powers are finally coming in then? What else do you have besides healing?"
"Well, when I took the chains off earlier that we were bound by, Kate informed me that they were silver, but they didn't burn me. Also, when I focused hard enough on the extra links that were on the floor they shattered, same thing happened to the wall we escaped out of."
"Wow. That's pretty cool." Kent muttered. Brandon nodded. While Kate and Syphone sat on the opposite couch. Colton just stared at me in awe. Then something flickered across his face as he seemed to remember something, then a look of nervousness appeared.
"Oh, um. I forgot to mention a pack called earlier. The Alpha has had some major rogue problems, and he asked if we could come to help train some of his fighters to be pre-pared. So, we need to pack and head over in about two days." Colton said.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Kent and Brandon shifting awkwardly from side to side. Syphone and Kate clearly hadn't known of the news as they watched every ones expressions like I did. I voiced the question I was hoping wouldn't have an answer that sent my world upside down.
"Which pack Colton?" He looked at me with nervousness and a mixture of pity.
"Dark Crescent Moon Pack."
When he said those words my blood ran cold and my body froze and tensed. My eyes clouded over and closed the last thing I saw was the floor coming closer to my face as two arms caught me before darkness consumed me. We were going back to my pack, to Logan's pack.
