Annabelle

Colton and I have been on a couple more dates and have been getting more and more serious after each passing day. I'm hoping he'll mark me, but I can't expect that much, i'm sure he would rather mark his mate. So, i doubt he'd even consider marking me. His mate may be dead, but it doesn't mean he won't wait till' he's dead to be with her officially, I guess. Even if he doesn't mark me I'd be happy with the fact that I got to go on a couple dates with him as more than a friend. I got to thinking of this topic because I was currently at the mall in the food court while the girls talked about their mates, or more specifically the things they did in b-e-d. Hence why I zoned out. Technically, i'm still a virgin, and I didn't want my ears to start bleeding from what they were saying. Not to mention, I would see the boys in a totally different light and that wasn't fair to them. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I was asked something.

"Huh, what?" I questioned. The girls shared a glance and turned to me with an identical smirk. Uh oh.

"I asked, if whether you and Colton have done the deed yet? We want details." Kate said. They awaited my answer while a look of complete horror washed across my face.

"Uh-what- why? no- that's huh?" I was stuttering and i'm pretty sure my face was beat red.

"Oh Kate I think she's a veggie? You know hasn't lost the V?" Syphone whispered in Kate's ear, while she had a look of mischievousness, that then turned into shock.

"What? So you and Logan never did it?" Kate questioned me. Yes, I told them the whole story, leaving out about the part were I went into my heat. So, they didn't know why Logan did what he did (mate someone else) Well I guess it's time to spill the beans. I told them that yes, I was a 'veggie' and how Logan marked me and the events after. When I finished the part about leaving a note and it's contents they both smirked while Kate muttered a 'that's my girl.' I finished up my story and both looked at me with big smiles on their faces.

"You have us now that's all that matters." Syphone replied. While reaching over and grasping my hand from across the table. Kate looked like she was going to say something too, but her face suddenly contorted into one of pain, before she collapsed face first onto the table, body bent over. Only to expose a three inch syringe in the back of her neck.

Brandon (Kate's mate)

The guys and I were chilling at home while playing some video games on xbox. Colton was sprawled out on the floor next to me while Kent was on his stomach laying on one of the couches in the game room. We were playing a wicked game of Call of Duty Black ops. I was in the lead off course. The girls went off to the mall about an hour ago. We let them go by themselves, because they could warn us if something happened through mind link including Annabelle since she joined our pack, and had already shifted. Not to mention, no one would mess with a pure lupus unless your stupid, like a hunter for example. They are technically human, but are just werewolves who can't shift, and hate the ones that do. Thus, making them kill us as frequently as possible, and experimenting. I thought in disgust. They have been trying to figure out how to get there wolf back. The solution is easy, once you make peace with the inner beast inside of you and try your hardest to be a good person. You gain the ability to shift, something has to trigger it though, whether it's finding a werewolf mate that can shift, or becoming angry over something. It was part of a spell cast by a witch a long time ago, I read it in some book. In my deep thought I didn't notice how Colton got ahead in kills, but what I did notice was the piercing sensation of something breaking my skin and a numbing burning feeling. In panic I felt around my neck, but nothing was there. Kate. The girls. Oh no! Just then Kent got a horrified expression before feeling his neck like me. We shared a glance before moving into action. We grabbed Colton and got into Colton's car and sped off towards the mall. Kent and I told Colton the sensations we felt, while he explained that it was what the girls felt. We already knew the answer as to what happened to them. Hunters. Only they would be stupid enough to drug them in a public place, most likely using wolfs-bane, which is a paralyzing plant that if used in large doses stops us from shifting and using our extra abilities. In smaller doses it knocks us out cold. This was likely the case for the girls. When we reached the mall Colton was blazing furious, having we caught the scent of humans with parts of werewolf, hunters. We traced them all the way to the food court were we found one table with chairs knocked over. The food court was otherwise empty only about a handful of people that were walking toward exits of the mall. The scene most likely scared some people. I walked over to the table and found a syringe laying on the ground. I picked it up and smelled wolfs-bane and Kate's scent right off the bat. I growled. All I could see was red. I wanted my mate! Colton put a calming hand on my shoulder.

"Let's try contacting them."

I nodded I tried reaching out in my mind for Kate. Luckily, I found her but she was blocking me out, not on purpose a side effect of being knocked out though. Kent seemed to come to the same result, but Colton's eyes were glazed over. He was obviously speaking to Annabelle, how she was awake was beyond me. Colton refocused on us and he told us two words, setting us in action.

"Let's Go!"

Syphone and I watched in fright as Kate lay ed their out like a light. Syphone reached over to shake her, just as she did though a syringe about the same size, entered her exposed neck. She fell limp next to Kate. I felt the searing of skin and reached around my neck to feel the syringe sticking out of my neck. I didn't feel the effect they did, but pretended too. I fell limp and closed my eyes and shallowed out my breathing. The stuff that was in the syringe smelled like wolfs-bane but, I would be out cold if it was, right? The effect it had on me was a tingly feeling that you get from a limb that has fallen asleep. To my horror though I heard heavy footsteps approaching. I heard the screech of the chairs next to me and two booming masculine voices.

"These two were out cold pretty quickly." Guy one said.

"Yeah, the other must've resisted a bit longer to see what was going on." Guy two said while chuckling.

"Stupid she-wolves." Guy one said. I nearly growled at that.

"Yup, alright up you go." Guy two said, before I was lifted onto his very uncomfortable shoulder.

Guy one was clearly walking ahead of us and I didn't feel anyone from behind this guy. I was facing his backside so I carefully tilted my head to the side and opened my eyes slowly. The food court was empty to my shock. It was only full two minutes ago. They were walking out the nearest exit door in the food court and walked out onto the parking lot. Oh no. Please don't kidnap us. I heard the opening of van doors and quickly closed my eyes again. I heard two very noticeable thumps. I was set down carefully unlike Kate and Syphone obviously were. Humph. Guy one, is clearly not nice. I was set down next to them laying on my back. When the back doors shut closed I opened my eyes. I was next to Kate I tried to nudge her awake, but it didn't work. Unless they turned completely around they wouldn't be able to see me, we were in the back of the van and the two seats in the front were blocked by tinted dark glass. They wouldn't be able to see me moving around either. Sadly, I couldn't really make out what they were saying it sounded muffled, but I could see through two small windows at the bottom of the two back doors of the van. Guy two started the car and I quickly moved my head to the side to peak out the small windows to at least see where we are going to. We pulled out of the parking lot. I felt a nudge on my mind and let Colton inside, knowing Kent and Brandon probably felt the syringe enter Kate and Syphone's necks.

"Where are you? What happened?" Colton asked worriedly

"We got kidnapped by hunters we are pulling out of the parking lot as we speak in a van, I don't know what color. Hurry!"

"We will be there soon show me what your seeing so I know where your heading."

"Okay"

I showed him what I was seeing feeling his presence in my mind. We were pulling out of the mall entrance and driving down an unfamiliar rode to me. I saw the passing of restaurants and apartment complexes before it started getting more and more vacant and deserted. We turned a corner on an unfamiliar drive and I saw the familiar surrounding of trees and lush forest. we screeched to a stop and guy two turned off the car.

"Colton he stopped the van I have to pretend to be asleep, but I can still contact you."

"Okay, update me on anything that happens, oh and Annabelle?"

"Yes?"

"I will get you and the girls back safely even if it's the last thing I do. I love you."

"I love you too."

I nearly smiled at those three words, but I can't smile in my 'sleep' so I did a mental happy dance. Not realizing I hadn't blocked Colton off, I felt embarrassed when he mentally chuckled. Guy two opened the back doors and hoisted me once again onto his shoulder. I heard guy one walk over and grab both Syphone and Kate one on each shoulder. They carried us inside to face the unknown.
