he had this dream

where he was all alone

in the dark

where all his demons lurked

and yet

there was a silhouette in the middle of the darkness

he feared it was her

but then he saw those glazed hazel eyes stare at him

with fear

and despair

and panic

but most of all

she looked adrift

he reached out to her

and then

he woke up

but those hazel eyes

he wanted to know who they

belonged

to
