《Cloud 69》7:

It was the fourth quarter of a very anti-climactic game. By that I mean Valor had secured the win early.

The score was 17-3 with 2 minutes left. Just like usual, Valor Academy would win. Our football team is undefeated, by the way.

Most of the older people in the stands, all the teachers and parents, started to pack up and leave. They all want to beat the rush. The stands were half empty and only students remained.

At the two-minute mark, I zoned out. There was no point in watching, it was pretty clear who won. And to be honest, I couldn't wait until I could go home with Grey.

The Valor side of the stadium erupted into cheers and applause. The team celebrated on the field, and Grey sent me a wink, holding up the football. I rolled my eyes.

This really was becoming too much like a relationship.

"You ready to go, babe?" Grey asked, coming up behind me.

"Yup," I waved goodbye to my friends before grabbing Grey's hand and heading to his car.

We got into his car, and he started off in the direction of his house. "Thanks for coming to my game tonight."

I laughed, "Anytime. Thanks for lending me your hoodie."

He smiled, "Of course. But I hope you don't mind, as soon as we get to my house, you're gonna take it off, and everything underneath it."

I smiled, "I don't mind at all."

His hoodie had landed on the ground long ago.

I was kissing up his neck, starting at the collar bone, and slowly making my way up to the spot behind his ear, enjoying the sound of his breath becoming heavier.

"I was thinking," He started.

I moved my lips so they were covering his, forcing him to stop talking as I shoved my tongue down his throat. He responded eagerly.

I pulled away for a short second to catch my breath. "You should stop thinking and start doing," I panted.

He placed a hand on my bare shoulder as a signal for me to stop. I rolled over so I was sitting beside him.

"Maybe tomorrow you'd like to grab a bite with me somewhere," Grey smiled.

"You mean, like a date?" I asked, thoroughly confused.

He nodded.

I sighed as I scanned the room for my shirt,"Grey, I thought we agreed, this wasn't going to be a relationship. Just, I don't know, something casual."

He sighed, "I know, Mads, but..." He groaned, "I've thought you were hot since you were a freshman. And when I initially agreed to this 'no feelings' thing, I thought you'd just be another one of those stuck up airheads, like Lana. But you're not."

I sat down on the bed beside him, "Grey, I can't do a relationship with you, you know that."

"Do you really find dating me that repulsive?"

"Grey, it's not that I don't want a relationship with you. It's that I don't want a relationship with anyone."

He sighed, "I guess I can't really be mad at you for that, considering our circumstances. Still sucks, though."

I smiled, "It's your senior year, Grey. Enjoy it. You said yourself you're too busy for a relationship anyway."

He shrugged, "Yeah, but I'd make time for a relationship with you. For one thing, every guy in the whole damn school would be jealous."

I laughed, "That's a bit dramatic."

He shrugged, "So, I guess this is it then."

I nodded.

"Can you do me a favor though?" He asked.

"What's up?"

"Can you not tell anyone for like a week or two? Just so people don't think I'm a complete loser."

I laughed and ruffled his hair, "I doubt anyone would think that low of our star quarterback, but sure. I'll even let you fake break up with me next Friday as a cherry on top."

He chuckled, "You're too good. Want me to drive you home?"

I slid on my shoes, "Nah, it's only like a ten minute jog. Call me if you ever want a meaningless hookup."

And with that, I was out the door.

"Mother, I'm home!" I called out as I stepped into the house.

"They left for the hospital an hour ago." My eyes move to the staircase. Carson was leaning on the railing, halfway up the stairs.

"And where were you?" Carson asked.

"Out." I responded, heading toward the stairs and brushing past him.

"Out? Really?"

"What's it to you?" I asked, really not in the mood to hold a conversation with Carson.

"Nothing, it's just not very respectable to lie. If you were hoeing around, just admit it."

That irritated me.

"First of all, like I give a damn whether or not you respect me. Your opinion is irrelevant. Second, if you can sleep with a different girl every hour of the day and still walk around like you're a king after, don't you dare insult me."

He chuckled, "Chill, Mads, take it easy. I was kidding. Don't you know that by now?"

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."

I was feeling very heated, probably considering the fact that I was about to have sex and then didn't. I started back up the stairs, but only managed to get up a single step before a strong grip on my wrist pulled me back down.

"Why are you so grumpy?"

"I'm not grumpy, and if I was, it's probably cause I realized talking to you is a waste of my time," I gritted through my teeth.

"Okay, so you're grumpy, and defensive. What's wrong, Princess?"

"Stop calling me Princess. Nothing's wrong, and if there was, you're the last person I'd talk to."

"Why's that?"

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Carson, by any means. But right now, it wasn't the fact that I completely despised him that was holding me back.

In case I forgot to mention, he was shirtless right now, and his grey joggers were hanging very loosely around his hips. His toned torso left exposed along with a very defined V-line left very little to the imagination.

I couldn't think straight. In fact, I couldn't think at all. All I could do was try to imagine where the V-line lead to, and what I saw was something that would get me into a hell of a lot of trouble.

I huffed, "I just.. I don't want to, okay? Can you please let go?"

"Okay now I know something's wrong, you were just polite to me." With that, he let go of my wrist but quickly grabbed my legs, and with one swoop, threw me over his shoulders and started up the stairs.

"Carson! Put me down right now! I swear I will murder you!"

"I'd love to see you try, Princess."
