Ms. Tina's POV
"Why are we shopping for groceries?" Angel asked.
"Do you want to eat today and tomorrow?" I asked.
She followed behind me and god dammit if that cart didn't hit the back of my ankle.
"God dammit Angel!" I said.
"Oh, my bad." She said.
I know she wanted to laugh.
"Get your ass from behind the cart." I said.
She moved as she laughed. I reached for her but she backed up. I rolled my eyes and continued shopping.
"When is Solange supposed to get here?" She asked.
"I don't know, call her." I said as I looked through the food.
"So what you-"
"So you not coming?" She said.
I turned around and I looked at Angel and I'm guessing she's on the phone with Solange.
"Yeah, I understand." She said but I know she's upset.
"Yeah, I'll see you in New Orleans." She said. "Okay, bye."
She hung up and just stood there.
"She's not coming?" I asked.
She shook her head no.
"It's okay, you'll see her and Michelle in a few days." I said.
"I guess." She said.
"What do you want to eat tonight?" I asked.
"It don't matter." She said. "I don't care."
Here we go with the I don't care attitude.
Beyoncé POV
"Hey, Hi, What's up?" I said as I walked down the stairs.
We were staying in Houston for the Fourth of July holiday. Shawn and Leon went out with my dad to get fire works and food for tomorrow.
"Bye." Angel said as she walked upstairs.
"What's wrong with her?" I asked my mom.
"Solange isn't coming." She said going to the kitchen area.
"Okay, we'll see her in a few days." I said as I followed her into the kitchen.

"You know how she is." She said. "Plus she has to go with your father in the morning."
"Oh to see uhm, uhm, what's her name?" I asked.
"You know her name." She said.
I shook my head and shrugged.
"So what we eating?" I asked.
"Angel's favorite." She said.
"Okay." I said and walked upstairs to see what Angel was doing.
She was watching something on her laptop.
"What you watching?" I asked.
"Def Comedy Jam." She said.
"Really?" I asked.
She sighed.
"Girl, what you want?" She asked.
"Mama said Solo wasn't coming." I said.
"Yeah, it's whatever." She said shrugging.
"I know your upset." I said.
"No, I know she busy. She gotta cancel sometimes, it's cool. I get it." She said.
"You know she not doing it on purpose." I said.
"Yeah I know." She said. "So you either gonna sit and watch this with me or get out."
"Well damn." I said.
"Choose either or." She said.
"Scoot over." I said and sat down.

Angel's POV
I get Bey and Mama are trying to make me feel better and I wasn't lying when I said I get Solo has a job and stuff but I still wanted to see her and Jeulz today for the holidays. It's whatever though. Now I gotta go meet this lady thats supposed to be marrying my dad by myself.
Bey went to get Blue from the her old room because mama had finished with dinner. The guys had came back except my dad and we started to eat. I didn't really have anything to talk about and Bey and Mama kept sneaking glances at me. What they think I'm gonna kill myself with this fork? I'm not that upset.

"You okay?" Bey asked as she fed Blue.
"Yeah." I said.
"You sure?" My mom asked.
"Yes, I'm fine." I said.
"Cause we can talk-"
"Bey!" I said then calmed down. "I'm fine."
"Calm down, okay." She said.
We continued eating and I got another call from Solo that I sent to voicemail. I'll talk to her later.
"Your gonna have to talk to her." My mom said.
"I know I'll do it later." I said.
"Wait, what happened?" Jay asked.
"Nothing." I said.
"Solange isn't coming." Bey said.
I dropped my fork.
"Damn Bey." I said.
"Angel!" My mom said.
"Sorry." I said. "Can I be excused?"
"Why?" My mom asked.
"Cause." I said.
"Not a good enough answer." She said.
Bump this. I got up and went upstairs. She was calling me but I didn't care. I heard her getting closer and she started speaking in that french creole crap. Why did I never pick up this french stuff but everyone else did. What the hell is she saying? She came in my room.
"Angel, what's the real problem?" She asked.
"Nothing, I'm fine." I said.
"This isn't about Solange." She said. "Is this about your dad?"
I just sat down.
"No." I said lowly.
"Angel, Im your mother. I know you've never met this women before but just support your father." She said sitting down.
"I don't want to go to the wedding." I said.
"I'm not gonna make you go." She said. "But talk to your father."
"I will." I said.
"And Angel" She said grabbing my face. "Don't you ever in your life disrespect me like you just did. Do you understand me? Because next time I don't care if your 16 I'll knock the shit out of you."
"Yes ma'am." I said.
"Alright." She said as we went back downstairs to eat.
She crazy right? Why do I test her? It's very dangerous.

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
