《Unexpected Fondness┊saiki k x m!oc》diciotto┊Chapter 18

Saiki opened his eyes slowly, seeing a pair of icy blue eyes staring into his own. When he realized whose they were, he shot up in the bed, clenching his eyes shut.
"Don't worry," Asher soothed, "It's just me. Lay back down."
'How.. is he not stone..?'
He opened his eyes once more, slowly laying back down. They stared at each other, Saiki amazed as to how Asher was still bone and flesh.
"I never realized how pretty your eyes are, Kusuo," the brunette hummed softly, carefully brushing a few strands of hair out of his face.
Saiki's face dusted red, looking off to the side.
"Cat's got your tongue?" Asher chuckled. Reluctantly, he slowly sat up, the blankets sliding off of him to reveal his abdomen.
He raised his arms, groaning as he stretched. "C'mon, Kusuo. Go ahead and get ready, I'll make breakfast."
"But you're still injured," his eyes trailed over Asher's body, trying his hardest to only focus on the bruises and bandages around his body.
Asher shook his head. "I'll be fine. Go on, now."
Saiki stood from the bed as well, grabbing an outfit before heading to the bathroom. He stared at himself in the mirror for a moment, his natural face in place.
'Are my powers gone? What's happening? I was.. actually speaking, too.. Weird.'
Saiki ignored it for now, finishing what he had to do in the bathroom and going to the kitchen. Somehow, Asher was already finished with the food, setting two plates down before sitting down in front of Saiki.
"Sorry if it's too much, I wasn't sure how much to give you," the brunette glanced at Saiki's plate before digging into his own.
"It's fine."
The two ate in silence, which Asher was completely fine with. However, Saiki felt on-edge. Everything felt weird... different. Out of place. Possibly not even real- but that couldn't be possible. Maybe his powers are just.. malfunctioning or something. He was glad he was more limited than he was before, so he didn't want to think about it much.
"What do you think of the food?" Asher questioned, already half way through his meal.

"It's so good."
'Why did I say that-?'
"That's great," Asher sighed. "I was nervous I messed up."
"Everything that I've tried from you is always amazing," Saiki spoke against his own will.
"Ya' think?" Asher smiled sheepishly, takin their empty plates and putting them in the sink. "I'll go get a shirt, then we can go."
"Go where?"
"Oh, right. I was thinking of going for a walk- just to keep my muscles active. We can keep it quick."
Saiki nodded and Asher left to grab a shirt. When they were ready, they left the house together.
The two of them walked down the pavement, ignoring the strangers they would occasionally pass by.
"There's so many more people in Japan that walk than in America.." Asher complained, almost bumping into the last person they saw.
In the end, Asher led them to a park. It was huge- there was a play area for children, a soccer field, a dog park area, and even a duck pond.
"Let's go over there," Asher didn't give the pinkette the option, grabbing his hand and leading him to the play area. Surprisingly, there were very little children in the area.
"Kusuo, Kusuo!!" Asher called excitedly (despite the fact they were still holding hands and they were right besides each other) as he stood on front of the uneven bars. "Watch the pro at work."
The brunette pulled himself on top of the bar, sitting on it before letting himself swing back and hang upside down. He made sure he was stable before holding his hands out to Saiki, motioning him to come closer.
"Bend down." He spoke, and Saiki did so. He took the other's head into his hands, carefully placing a soft kiss on his forehead before pilling away.
The psychic's face was burning red, standing up straight and covering his face with a fist.
"It was like a Spiderman kiss. Kinda cool, huh?" He grabbed onto the bar and flipped himself off of it. "You go ahead and try."
"I can't do that."

"Try," Asher urged, and Saiki gave in. He got to the point where his waist was at the bar, but he then flipped over the bar and onto the ground.
Asher snorted. "Are you okay?"
"Fine," the pinkette muttered, dusting himself off as he stood from the ground.
The brunette grabbed his hand once more, walking around that small park area a few times before heading to another direction. It seems Asher didn't notice the duck pond until they got near it. He gasped lightly, pulling them towards it.
"Let's feed them bread!!" He pulled out a bag of bread that appeared out of nowhere.
"Huh?.."
Asher took a few slices and gave them to Saiki, hold the rest in his own hands. He would tear them apart and toss them into the lake, watching in awe as they ate.
Saiki was more focused on the boy beside him than the ducks. The expression held on his face.. it was too bright. Too cute. He's just too much.
"You're really pretty," Saiki blurted.
Asher turned to him, a crooked grin on his face. "You aren't too bad yourself, Kusuo."
Saiki felt a smile ever-so slowly grow on his face.
"Hey, seems like the ducks like you."
Saiki hadn't noticed, but the ducks had been eating the bread piece by piece out of his hand, several surrounding his feet. He could hear faint sounds of their thoughts as they pushed and shoved each other for the food.
Saiki tossed the remaining on the ground for them to devour.
"Let's watch the sunset. Then we can go home, okay?"
'The day went by too quickly..'
They walked again, until they found the nearest bench. They sat together, their arms pressed against each other as they looked out to the sky. It was amazing to Asher how beautiful it could be when the sun was passing by.
"Hey, Kusuo?"
"Hm?" He looked to Asher.
Asher shifted slightly. "I know I've said it already.. but I really like you. I don't want to make you feel like I'm pressuring you. I just want to remind you how much you mean to me. I've genuinely never cares as much for someone until I met you. You're the light of my life. And, hopefully we can have a long, happy future together."
It felt as if Saiki's body explode. A tingling sensation was felt throughout his entire body, and he felt warm.
Asher looked from the sky and to Saiki. "I'll wait until the very end for your answer. Take your time thinking about it."
"I.." Saiki trailed off. He wasn't too sure what to think, nor what to say. They only stared into each other's eyes.
Without taking much thought, they leaned in. Their noses brushing against one another softly and their eyes closing. They could feel each other's breath dancing across their lips...
Saiki sat upwards quickly, panting lightly as he looked around. There was a quiet, but rough, groan besides him and a shift in the bed. Saiki looked over, seeing Asher still sleeping soundly in his bed.
'A dream.. it was a dream.'
He placed his head in his hands, a clutter of feelings swarming in his body.
But, he knew for a fact that he was embarrassed. He just had a dream about the boy sleeping in his bed! He just had a dream of him saying weird things, and almost kissing Asher!!
What was he supposed to do now?
---------------------------------------
This was harder to write than I thought it would be. because i was gonna make it shorter, but anything less than 1000 words is too short to do (constantly) imp
the whole thing isn't supposed to really makes sense, because its a dream. but basically, the dream was saiki saying things he truly felt but is normally to shy to say to asher.
and asher was acting/saying things that saiki secretly enjoyed.
i already have the last 2/3 chapters + 1 special planned out so, yes. lets hope everything goes well
yeahyeah IM SO EXCITED FOR THE END AND IDK WHY
Im excited to do the specials tooo ughhshs
i was thinking of a sequel, but nahh. they'll just be specials that will (mainly) connect.

I became a criminal, a musician, traveled through time, battled beings that shouldn’t exist and took part in a high stakes tournament. But that’s not the half of it!
