《Unexpected Fondness┊saiki k x m!oc》quattordici┊Chapter 14

In class, Asher had been turned to Saiki's desk. Everyone had been planning little trips they would be going out to do, and Asher wanted to get in on the action.
"Saiki."
"Hmm..?" He glanced over to Asher before looking straight ahead again.
"Are you gonna be busy this week?"
Saiki shook his head.
"Then.. maybe we should do something. Since it'll be summer break and all- maybe we can find a way to go out of town and explore the area. Just, something different, y'know?"
'Sounds like a lot of work to plan, but...'
Saiki shrugged. "Sure."
"Seriously!?" Asher clutched the edge of his desk excitedly. Saiki nodded.
'Hell yeah!.. Out-of-town trip with Saiki? Sounds like a fucking blast.'
Little did he know, there plans would be entirely changed.
Asher had ended up zoning out after the conversation with Saiki, so he didn't hear of the new plans that were made.
Fortunately, Saiki was kind enough to explain to him what they would be doing instead at lunchtime. Asher refused at first. He didn't want to willingly hang around Saiko.
But then he heard that Teruhashi would be there- and he couldn't just leave Saiki! Not with that conniving snake there with him!!
So, several days later, there he stood with 7 other people on a deck in front of a huge boat. Like, ginormous.
"How fucking rich do you have to be to own something like this?.." Asher was in awe as he looked up at the cruise ship. Honestly, it looked like luxury. He was a little excited to see what it held.
Since he heard it was Saiko's boat, he couldn't come dressed like a bum. He had a pink sweater on with a white, collar button up underneath which was tucked into his black pants. He also threw on a few rings and earrings because why not?
They climb aboard, and Saiko walked them through the boat. They were all 'ooh'-ing and 'ahh'-ing at how rich everything looked.
Though, they had to stop midway because Kaidou got seasick.
"Oh no!" Chiyo shouted. "I-I'll help him! I'll take him to rest somewhere!"
Asher didn't know if he could trust that girl alone with Kaidou... but sticking to Saiki's side was his main priority.
'Stay safe, Shun.'
'First name basis?'
After those two left, they continued travelling the ship.
'Saiki and I could have our own miniature date while we're here. I've gotta try and ask..'
Suddently, the boy on his mind had leaned his body against him slightly as they came to a halt in the hall.
'OH FUCK, ARE WE DOING PDA RIGHT NOW???'
Asher felt his body turn warm as Saiki was pressed against him. Though, his childish thoughts were turned to worry as he heard Saiki began to breathe heavily. The brunette looked down to him, seeing the discomfort on his face.
"Saiki..? Saiki-!"
The pinkette had suddenly collapsed to the ground on his knees, and Asher went down with him. The others turned from whatever the fuck they were dealing with (which was Meru devouring all of their fucking food) to see them on the ground.

"Oh no!"
"Now Saiki's seasick!!"
'I can't be seasick... this is my first time on a ship, and I can't even get a cold!.. no way.'
Before they knew it, Asher carried Saiki off to another room so he could rest as well. Asher sat on the edge of the bed, watching over the pink haired boy as laid their miserably.
'This fucking sucks..'
"I'm sorry, Saiki."
Said boy looked up to Asher. He looked dazed- his sickness was probably pushing him to unconsciousness.
"Don't be.." (1) Asher heard the other mutter before his (Saiki's) eyes shut. He must've passed out.
For some strange reason, when Saiki said that, it sent chills through Asher's body. It was weirdly different.. in a good way. Asher liked it.
The brunette shook the thoughts off. Now wasn't the time to be horny over his crush!!
'I'll take off his clips this time so he doesn't break them.. They must be precious to him since he wears them so often.'
Asher carefully took the pins put of his hair, along with his glasses. He put them in his pocket before quietly walking out of the room.
Before he could find the others, everything had suddenly went dark.
Asher woke up to the grout sitting in a circle, discussing something. His head was laid on something soft, and when he looked up he found out that "soft thing" was Saiki's lap.
'He's so cozy..' he hummed mentally.
Then, he started to slowly take in the situation. They weren't on the boat, their clothes were tattered, materials were scattered all around the beach they lied on.
So, either this was a crazy realistic dream, or they were actually stranded.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ACTUALLY STRANDED!!"
There was his answer.
Asher shot up from Saiki's lap, groaning in pain afterward. Seems like he had gotten hurt, from the scar he had had on his side. Which had been clearly exposed now that his clothes were ripped to be a crop top now.
"Holy shit.. fuck- we're actually stranded??" Asher looked around. He was terrified. What the hell could this bunch do?! They were fuck!!
Saiki placed a hand on the brunette's shoulder to grab his attention. "Don't worry, there was a tracker in Saiko's boat. Either way, they have to come looking for him."
That did ease his nerves a tad, but there was still a part of him that just couldn't believe it. There was a chance they would die out there-!!
Asher was dazed most of the time out there. He half listened to what everyone said, just doing whatever they did. Collected food, helped cut down trees, find shelter.
Before he could even think much on it, a buttload of time has passed and they've finished a raft.
"We did it!!"
"Good job, everyone!"
"We can all go home!!"
"Actually," Saiko interrupted the cheers, "we all can't go on the raft."

Saiko explained that someone may come back to the island in search for them. Also, all of then on the raft would just make it sink eventually.
'Wow, that fucker is actually smart.'
'Very shocking, honestly.'
After some discussing, it was decided that Nendou, Saiko, Teruhashi, and Chiyo would ride the raft.
The rest waved them goodbye as they began to get onto the water.
'Glad I wasn't even an option. I'd probably die from hyperventilation.'
It wasn't even 5 minutes before another boat appeared, that was there to rescue them? Asher wasn't really sure of the exact details, but hey! At least they can go home now, right?
When he got home (which was a bit later than everyone else, since he wanted to walk Saiki home), his mom had been waiting in the living room for him.
He could tell she hadn't been sleeping well- or taking good care of herself in general. Asher felt horrible for making his mom worry so much, even if it wasn't his fault.
He did his best to console and comfort her when he got in the house, and they spent some time together before he sent her to bed. She needed rest.
Anyways, all of them went back to class as per usual. And everyone was on their ass about them being stranded. Hottest topic at the time.
Kaidou was making up some lied about him not being terrified and how he came up with the idea of making the raft. Even if Asher's memory was hazy, it doesn't sound believable at all.
It was even worse during their lunch. People would come up to Saiki and Asher (who've been glued to each other's side after recent events) and ask them what happened, or how they felt afterward.
Some would ask weird questions like "Did you get to see Teruhashi's precious body?" or shit like that. Asher almost hit that person, but he had angel beside him to keep him restrained.
As they made their way out of the building (so they could grub outside), someone stopped them.
"Hi! I'm Jouten Manako, President of the Newspaper Club—"
'They have one of those here..?'
"—I was hoping you could give me insight on the shipwreck incident."
"No can do," Asher shook his head. "I don't want our business in the paper. I feel like I'm gonna be gossiping or some shit."
"We can assure you it'll be worth your time-"
"Look," Asher sighed, now glaring at the female. "I already said no. So fuck off."
The two had a staredown before Asher turned away. He took Saiki's hand in his, tugging the boy out of the door so they can have lunch already. He slightly leaned his body against Saiki's, the scar he recieved while stranded starting to softly throb.
'What a pain in the ass. Just wanna have lunch with bae..'
'I guess I've gotta be grateful for him dealing with that for us.'
Who knew one incident could branch off into several more in such a small amount of time?
Now there was another crazy talk of the school. Asher and Saiki.
Those stupid reporter kids took a picture of the two holding hands, their backs facing the camera. It also looked like Asher was leaning down to Saiki, as if he were leaning in for something...
When Asher saw the article (which Aren brought to his attention), he was livid.
"What the absolute fuck? Do they not understand what privacy is? Shit, man.." He ran a hand through his hair, pushing it away from his face. He was more worried about Saiki than himself.
He knew how people could react to these things. And he certainly did not want Saiki to be troubled because of him.
"I'll just have to murder that bitch-"
"I've already handled it," Saiki spoke as he walked into the classroom, settling down in his seat.
"How? Literally everyone's talking about it!!" Kaidou popped over to throw in his 2 cents.
'And even though I'm extremely jealous, I can't show it. The Jet Black Wings doesn't have time for love, anyways!!'
'He says while holding back tears.'
Asher looked to Kaidou, wondering why he looked like he was going to cry. It wasn't his problem, why is he sad?.. "Anyways, if whatever you did didn't work—"
"It did."
"—then I'll handle it myself," Asher finished, a look of doubt in his eyes as he stared at Saiki. What could he have done to stop them?
Well... he shouldn't have doubted Saiki.
The pinkette was able to reveal that the Newspaper Club spread nothing but lies, and some other dirty stuff about them. Way to go, Saiki!!
"I'm fully capable of handling things myself," Saiki gave a small, teasing smile to Asher as they walked home.
"I guess so. I just get worried when it comes to things about you."
"Don't be."
The familiar words rang through Asher's mind, sending an electric feeling through his body once again.
"Right..." Asher looked to the ground. "Y'know, I‐ I really like you, Saiki."
'AGHHH WHY DID I SAY THAT?? THAT WAS TOO RANDOM, TOO RANDOM—'
Saiki felt his body grow warm hearing the words again, but kept his face stoic. He was only able to muster a hum in response.
They stayed silent the rest of the walk until the split ways. Somehow, it was a comfortable silence. Just relishing each other's presence.
'Stop making me feel this way, idiot.'

1.) Remember, italicize double quotations is saiki using psychic ability to speak. the italicized singular quotation marks is still saiki, but his thoughts.
+ im thinking since asher doesn't like being in the air (like riding a plane, helicopter, etc) then he wouldn't like the deep sea either. though, his fear for the sky is much bigger
