How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. All are aligned on the spectrum from the brightest of minds, the lightest of hearts, to the darkest of souls. All Mystic Players, be they Monster or Marshal, share one characteristic. They thrive in chaos. And a shattered universe is a universe in chaos. At the end of the Saga, will the winner be someone worthy of emulation and even, if it were appropriate, of worship as an exemplar of divinity. Updates: Mondays + Whenever I feel like it. ****************** This story features: -A cast who are mostly good friends and mostly good people, despite exploring weird and dangerous worlds. -A mix of dungeons, dragons, and exploring the pine scented city of Cascadia. -Very light LitRPG elements that slowly seep into the story. Learning the system is a challenge that takes the characters a long time. -A strange universe with a mix of both standard magic and powers that twist reality itself. Some wizards know how to cast fireball, but a few can curse someone to be lost for eons. -No explicit sex scenes. Warning is for implied sex scenes and some nudity. -Lots of blood, mostly monster blood. -A long planned story and long character arcs. Primero quiero decir que como veras esta historia esta en español ya que mi ingles es muy malo para hacer una novela. Segundo puse todas las advertencias para más libertad de expresión. En un mundo tan grande, los orígenes de las cosas pueden ser muy interesantes desde la casualidad, por Dios o por simples mortales. Al haber muchas razas cada uno tiene sus Orígenes ya sea el más débil o el más fuerte cada uno tiene su razón de estar hasta el que dicen que si se extingue mañana no pasaría nada. porque las razas no son solo un grupo de seres ellos representan una emoción o más y aunque otros pueden sentirlos no viven por ello. Vamos a ver desde el punto de vista de muchos personajes históricos de este cosmos como se origino muchas razas, hechos de culturas, tecnología, frases, facciones y demás. ¿Te atreves a leer estos mitos? Soportaras el intento inútil de Finnegan, verás como Stacy tiene una mala infancia, verás como Yare hace todo lo posible por amor aunque el sea un Yandere. Si te atreves a leerlo porque esto es solo el comienzo. Quiero decir que si quieres saber bien de qué se trata la historia con leer el prologo no basta ya que solo lo hice para dar un trasfondo a la historia y no se puede tomar muy en cuenta de cómo es la historia, si quieres saber bien cómo es lee el primer capítulo y el primer pensamiento del autor que está después del primer capítulo. La portada tiene de base una foto de Fotos de Stock por Vecteezy y editada por mi. Horario: lunes,miércoles,viernes y domingo por ahora la hora especifica está en cambios.
