Resurgent [Hiatus]
Resurgent is the story of a man by the name of Marcus Diamandis and he begins his journey in an unexpected location, the skies. On the day of Armageddon, or later commonly referred to as Integration, Marcus begins his fall that hopefully preludes an eventual rise to greatness. Humanity has become stagnant in its ideals, no one quite knows what would happen if it were forced to change. Cataclysm now arrives in modern times, can we adapt, or will mankind fail its greatest test? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Resurgent is a story that will include LitRPG and GameLit systems. Will not include any Harem elements whatsoever. This story is my first posted attempt at writing an episodic piece of literature and constructive criticism is always welcomed. The New World and The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound heavily inspired me so if you haven't read them please go give them a read!

[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.

Mason Stone, a highschool student, fell off a cliff attempting to save a kitten from falling off the ledge. When he eventually woke up, he was in a rope cot, fully bandaged, soaking in a herbal mixture. "Thank God you woke up." A sigh of relief sounded from his side as a girl helped him up from the cot. "I'll let the sect master know. Please don't move too much." The girl ran out of the room bringing with her an old man. And so, Mason became a servant of the supreme sect.
