The Dungeon Child
Argus was a dungeon, sprawling for miles under the cities of man above all the way until a human, angry at the death of one of his companions, murdered him. When he discovered where he was, he found that he had come back to life as nothing more or less than a human being, complete with its own nervous system, organs, and brain. Worst of all, his precious System is gone, and he has to actually grow up. How disgusting.

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)

Dirge

Not for gain, but to the ends of permanence and peace. The cessation of their suffering. At the apex, looking down on those confined, those unenlightened, we felt safe. So few stand shoulder to shoulder with us. Fewer yet of them are so united as we. Porter, a godkiller for the Eidolons, is out of the job. Christopher, a Magus in the Guild, has him a new one, but with motives questionable. Kendall, a failing student at the Monastery, has to deal with secrets he never wanted. Anna, her entire life just fell apart, leaving her bereft. And Doran, he awakens. Each of these people, connected as members of the Omniversal Utopian Commonwealth, are helpless to the dark truth closing in. Not even the artificial intelligence, Aku, keeper of all Utopian power, can stop the Ouroboros. It’s not a new dawn. The light is dying. Hold your breath and go gently.

Magician's Hill
As a magician Dias has run into a lot of problems. Not 'street magician' though that would carry a lot less baggage... For better or for worse he has run into the supernatural side of things more than he would have liked. In fact it keeps pestering him more than he'd like and after spending the night at a Motel... his life just got a whole lot more complicated. Expect that now that he owns a hill... the "Magician's Hill" now that the former witch/owner is dead. It doesn't help that most of the supernatural residents also seem to have taken an interest in him though it feels like a coin toss if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Especially when they realize that his problems followed him to their city.

Sarah Hidalgo knows that it is going to be an adventure when she agrees to go off to the far-off country of Paradis to attend the linguistics program of one of the best international universities. What she doesn't agree to is all the events that happen instead of her education, including but not limited to sky pirate takeovers, invasions by other countries, secret police, and crime bosses. But Sarah will not be alone in these adventures, for the colorful crew of a cargo airship will be along side her. Perhaps finding some form of normality won't be too difficult, if such a thing exist.
